This week i am back in the Lake district with Gary Gough exploring more wild flower landscape photography. We revisit an area from the last video and find that the wild flowers (Bluebells) are now obscured by undergrowth so we move on to try to find some better compositions. Landscape photography in woodlands is always a challenge and although the conditions had changed for photography at this one location other areas were just spectacular. How can anyone get fed up with Bluebells? It's one of natures finest displays. We are only on this planet for a relatively short time. We need to appreciate every moment.

There is nothing nicer than looking at new green spring growth against the blue of the bluebells. Great fun watching you two together. As for the first 2 shots, I thought I would prefer the second, but when you put them up, the first one grabbed me, mainly because of the arrangement of the tree, logs and fern.

I prefer the fern to the right, and can you bring up the shadows on the clump by it? The eye is drawn to the blackness of it, so it detracts, I think.The darkness become the focal point for the viewer.

bit of a cheeky comment off gary about if you dont know then more fool you, why dont you actually say where it is, like some photographers do, i always find this kind of behaviour a bit arrogant and annoying

OK, so I know this will seem like a ridiculous question but in the video the "Bluebells" are blue but in the photos, they are purple...... which are they really? I am from the US and there are no Bluebells anywhere around where I am.

The blue bells are more of a purple colour for some reason the video renders them more of a deep blue I think it has something to do with white balance 😁✌️

@@PaulthomsonphotographyUk This seems to be a common problem. My cameras are rather insistent that my purple car is actually deep blue. It happened with my first digital hybrid handycam (Sanyo), my Nikon Coolpix and my newer Panasonic.
