Bain, Robertson, Carter and Edwards.....what a fantastic line up of pure talent. Wild Horses did not get the credit they deserved. Thank you for posting this.
RIP Jimmy. I had the pleasure of seeing Wild Horse many times at The Boat Club in Nottingham and also supporting Rush at The Bingley Hall Stafford. Raising a glass to you tonight.
I was at this show. We got tickets via our youth club. I thought Wild Horses were great. Trying to spot myself in the audience. I'm in there somewhere.
These guys smashed the shit out of this program😉😄🤘🤘🤘🤙🤙🤙✊✊✊✊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 r.i.p Jimmy Bain, Phil lynott, very unique straight to the face 👊 .wow crazy to see robo very young there. same with Jimmy
Love how the kids bobbin there heads right there you know those shows were real.not like now a days either you get paid to clap and yell or by following the order lol
ive listened to this band and this is obviously their best song, but no doubt they petered out due to robertson's attitude. he is impossible to get along with in a band situation. he could have helped lizzy be bigger in the states, but he killed their chances instead. then he joined motorhead and refused to play their most loved songs. why lemmy hired him is beyond me
+Alan Lloyd Lemmy hired him because they were all friends and they admired his ability on guitar. Also Philthy Animal was a huge Thin Lizzy fan and Robertson was one of his heroes. The Motorhead album Robertson is on is great and Robbo added another dimension to their sound. It's still Motorhead...but it is a unique album. Robertson didn't last in the band because of his drinking...it got the better of him. Lynott was as much to blame as anyone for hurting Lizzy's chances. Robertson got in a bar brawl standing up for Frankie Miller and injured his hand on the eve of a U.S. tour....but Lynott didn't take care of himself and got sick on the eve of an even bigger tour that would have broke the band in the United States.
I love Robbo...No Matter what he's done. He joined Lizzy at an age of 17. A young and wild kid. A brilliant Player. Love Lizzy. Love "Another Perfect Day". Lemmy Loved it too. He is a little bit special. Apologize for his faults.
True, that was my first thought as well! Could've easily been a Lizzy song, even down to the Brian Downey esque drum fills - just imagine Lynott on vocals/bass and you're there 😝
