Guitarist/ Busker Mark Allen on his way to work in Cardiff City... video artfrob If you want to send some money to Mark via PayPal his email is markallen1824@yahoo.co.uk
you know, everyones (not all) comments are all in some way hinting around feeling bad for this man, i wish to remain anonymous but ive become fairly successful in life and my opinion and outlook of this man is not to feel bad. he is truely talented and clearly at peace with himself and enjoying life - ACTUALLY 100% no fakeness here and i admire that more than anything going on in this world these videos are so pure, no judgement and i think we should appreciate this and praise people and acts like this because now a days everyone is so worried about being the best or the richest and all this man cares about is blessing us with the most feel-able music ever created live and pure. and there is no actual way to describe the way it is that was my best shot . RESPECT.
Depuis quelques temps,j’écoute et j’apprécie beaucoup ce musicien de rue, mais j’ai une attirance particulière pour ce présent moment de musique,un morceau qui m’attire à réécouter sans cesse, merci pour le partage 🙏
One of the greatest guitar covers live outdoors EVER, in my opinion. Touches my heart. Everyone walking by without any notice, without a dollar or quid thrown.
Today world is full of soulless twits who can't see or hear an inch past their own freaking noses. They wouldn't realize the job he's doing if their lofe depended on it. It's why they are all miserable and afraid!!!! Amazing job Mark!!!! As good as I've ever heard covering this tune in any fashion!!!
How is it possible to be so close to our innermost self by a human we don't even know? What a secret thread unites us, as transparent as it is strong, a thread of life, a thread so resistant that it can connect us all with grace and light without effort... Grace and light.
@@memyselfandlewii8781 Oh! Thank you. Artfrob by Bob Fordham is really great because it presents us with a real world with great people, all friends... Bob Fordham also has some great songs. One? Changes. Hi Lewii
This is the very first time someone has inspired me to click on every video i could find That has this man playing the most beautiful renditions of tracks i would normally not consider to be worthy of a listen ....... Now i know why we have the word "Wow". A huge genuine "Thank you " to Mark Allen . Amazing !
Just discovered Mark today quite by accident after he popped up after listening to Chris Deburghs A Spaceman Came Traveling now I can't stop!! My new goal in life to get to Wales and see Mark live!! Merry Christmas Mark!!!
6:00- 6:40 . Something happens every time I hear and watch this. And I can't help it..to know no one ever wanted the noise and to hear this.how many times you think someone tried to kill his dream.the love and respect he shows people at the beginning too..
Always good watching and listening to you Mark. You inspire me to pick up and play my guitar! Such emotion always when you play. Beautiful! Great to finally see what equipment you use for that great sound. Thanks artfrob for filming Mark. Is there a cd that Mark sells at all by any chance? Kind regards...Mark. 👌🎸👍
Mark has a c.d with him when he busks and he is currently working on a new c.d using his own backing tracks. Contact him and ask for one....regards artfrob
I always pick up my guitar and play along with this. This is probably 50th time I've listened to it but this time "I just listened" and did not play. Boy, what a treat ! Still sharing the "pain" on those special notes though !!! ... Well done bro.
I spend my time looking for the perfect pedal board, the latest tuners, and all the new gimmicky guitar add-ons. I'm a pretty crappy guitar player. Mark uses the top of a tupperwear container, the fret board looks like what it is; very, very "relic", and plays like what he is. An extremely talented musician. those who can't play, buy things, those who can play, just play. This guy can really play.
Thank You to everyone who's commented with so many amazing words about my playing. They mean a lot to me and touch my heart. Thank You All . The backing track is available if you email me . Mark.
Hi Mark. I emailed you about 2 years ago, and you were very gracious to send me several of your backing tracks. Simply fantastic. I have a number of sample libraries from companies such as Spitfire Audio, Cinematic Studio, Orchestral Tools, Audio Imperia, Heavyocity, 8dio, ProjectSam, etc. I was wondering what sample libraries you used to make your Wild Horses backing track. Specifically, the string library. BTW, how's the fishing going? Have you had an opportunity to wet a hook lately? Being in Texas, an old friend from Virginia is flying in, and he and I are going to Lake Sam Rayburn for a few days this coming week.
I love all Marks work, but he really smashes this to bits,no one else's version not even the Stones original in my opinion comes close and I don't mean that lightly You hear every note but more importantly you feel every note! And when you feel every note that’s when you know you are listening to something very special.
Someone please give this guy a recording deal,Mark you are one of my guitar heroes, I would like to thank you for being a massive inspiration to me after giving up on the guitar when my brother committed suicide 21 years ago.You are one the reasons why the guitar is now a part of my life once more!Just wish my brother was here to witness your magical sound and the passion you have when you make that Strat speak, scream yell and sing,God bless you and hope you get the break you deserve, thanks again Mark you are a phenomenon ,take care and all the best Wayne from Swansea
O.K. I'm crying again! the vast number of grown men that Mark brings to tears is mind boggling. I wish right at this moment I wasn't in Perth - Western Australia, I would get in my car and go and watch Mark perform his heart out. Yes he's talented, no doubt about it, but there's years of love and dedication to his craft, and it's being poured out in every note he plays. This is my favourite video of Marks' playing that I've seen so far. Why is this beautiful man not performing at the Sydney Opera House? If you put out an album Mark, I am convinced it would sell out before all the people walking past you got home. Much love from WA
What? There were 15 idiots that didn’t like this? Did you just crawl out of the swamp? This is one of the most impressive solos that should make anyone realize that the EG is THE most heartfelt instrument. Mark Allen, you touched me
Mark, its July 2024, only just found you on youtube, You have more feeling in one finger, than most can aspire to have in total. You humble me, I absolutely love this performance... from a fellow guitarist who has just realised the level of feeling and expression I will probably never reach... Outstanding!!! My best J...
Are the people of Cardiff deaf what is so important you can not stop to listen to the best guitarist you will ever hear in your city Mark your wild horses is amazing I wish I had your talent and vision.
Exactly what I thought when I watched the video. I couldnt believe people could just walk on by. Looks as if Mark has had life sit on him and he is pulling himself out by heartfelt playing. Bested the 'celebrity' guitarists without a doubt.
@@rayoconnor8038 Hey guys, easy up on Cardiff, there are lots of people who stop and have a listen as they are passing in the course of their day.....not everybody has the same taste or appreciation for Mark's gems.
My wife died a little over 3 years ago now, and I used to always tell her that wild horses could never take me away from you, unfortunately she could fight no more and left me in the early hours of 26th June 2019 with me by her side, I've not played much guitar since her passing, but after listening to this for the last 2 hours and sobbing like a baby I believe it's time to once again pick it up. thank you for this, I believe it's what I needed, it's the most beautiful instrumental version of this song I've ever heard, first class performance, thank you
Hello Brian thank you for your comment. This video gets to me too, especially when Mark cranks up the echo/ delay near to the end. When i am filming buskers and i give my card out to people who want to know more about the site, I always tell them about wild horses...We all meet up again one day Brian...
sheeeez you put a tear n my eye now brother ..yes pick up that guitar and play the blues out of it mate ...Ive had thoughts of picking up the guitar again after many years ...love the blues ..take care of your self mate and sorry for your loss greets from Australia and from a proud Celt
Just read your comment. I am so sorry for your loss, but glad that my playing has in some way helped you. If you want the backing track, email me and I'll send it to you . Mark.
@markallen5 You're a class act, Mark. We haven't spoken in a while but I'm glad you've made it through Covid and I hope you've found some time to go fishing during all this. (I'm the one from Texas that sent you a donation and you were kind enough to send me some of your backing tracks).
too many empty souls walking on the streets .... when the music ends and the light is off, maybe they will appreciate the power of a man who transmits happiness ... the power of music !!! I would have left you more than a comment on you tube if I had the chance met you. But maybe one day ... keep sending ! keep on rockin' !!!
My words can't express just how brilliant you are. I'm 58 and love all music, but this in particular. I've only just discovered you and am so glad. One of my favourite songs ever and your version topped them all easily. Thank you so much.
you are a beaultiful soul brother... to see you playing the guitar so passionately is moving. I also play the guitar and feel it n my heart. You are the real deal. A true guitarrist. God bless you!
That's the most accurate comment I've read here. Many can play a guitar. Only a handful of people can reach into your heart and pull it's inner being out with a guitar string. This guy is one of that handful. He's a f-----g genius.
Wow !!! can't stop playing this. My favourite all time guitar track is brothers in arms, this is next. fantastic. I live in Kent ( UK ) I would drive to Cardiff for the day just to listen to you Mark
I would love for Mark to be in my band,But the truth of it is, he doesn't need a band,he is a band in HIMSELF!!!!!!I can only imagine what he would play like if he got his little pinky finger to work!! But hey who needs it when you can play like this!MESMERISING!PLEASE DON'T WALK PAST THIS GENTLEMAN!!!IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GIVE THE GUY MONEY,AT LEAST STEP BACK AND LISTEN!PEOPLE PLAY HUNDREDS OF POUNDS TO HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF WATCHING SOMEONE SO TALENTED!!!!STAY SAFE MARK AND DON'T LET ANYONE EXPLOIT YOUR GOD GIVEN TALENT!!!
If you were where I live you'd have a hugh crowd around you cheering. What is wrong with the people there. This man has his soul and being attached to that guitar and that is what really makes a truly great player. If you ever make up tabs for that I would be happy to pay you for them. Well done, Ive listen to this countless times and it still sounds as good as the first, that's when you know something is really good.
how can the passers by, not see or hear him ? are their lives so busy , that they don't have time to give themselves a holiday in their hearts and enjoy his gift to them,,,,, very few even look, how sad !
WOW.....That was just beautiful playing Mark. You have such talent. Especially love the part at 5.58 seconds. Where you up it a notch. Would love to play along side you mate. Thank you for sharing.
What a brave an absolute and talented man breathing life into music, a troubadour par excellance, from the heart, you dogs get in behind where you belong, KPP nz
My god. As a pro guitarist for 50 years, I have to say from the bottom of my heart that this guy is one of the best I've ever seen. Hope to god I meet him one day.
I'm here because of my mate "Wayne Kieft" he said have a look. I would say that Mark Knopfler, should maybe do a tune with "Busker Mark Allen", What a great sound he has & he seems to be just a quiet unassuming Bloke who loves what he is doing, most probably doesn't care for all the bright lights, fame & fortune, just likes to get his music out there for us all to see & listen too. A Big "Thanks" must go to "Artfrob" for doing the right Microphones for Marks Sounds, The artfrob Vids are just brilliant with the way he captures all the essentials.. Nice one mate (Hi from Virus-free Auckland NZ)
Thanks Gib for your kind remarks...Mark is itching to get out and play but feels it will be a different world for everyone once this nightmare is over. Maybe it won't be a street corner but a warm studio with a recording contract in his case...he deserves it....
@@artfrob3754 Nice one mate, a recording contract for a couple of albums would be nice (just have to be careful to not promise to much because promoters only see dollar signs) And I think, what would be the icing on the cake, would be for you to do a couple of his videos, You seem to be able to capture his moods and reflections. regards Gib-------- ps--- We are just about over this Virus thingy in NZ, we all kept our distance, wore masks and washed our hands Keep your distance is the big thing
Has stopped all the people coming in with the virus, and the ones who did slip into the country are in strict quarantine. I met the Prime Minister the other day "Jacinda Ardern" and wrote some songs about her on youtube Gib Williamson.. say "HI"
If anyone doubts Mark is as expressive as the best... listening to this made me cry & weep for several replays. Granted I feel like utter crap right now, but even so... You have to heal somehow, so thanks for the help Mark :-)
Mindboggle100 as long as you have air to breath there is hope for you! Always remember tomorrow brings new things.I myself have struggled through some trying times! When I lost my twenty seven year old brother,I lost my mind and my health with it.Life is a bitch sometimes, but please dont waste the little time that we have been given on this planet, grab as much life as you can.Has a person who has been through some crap myself, I can relate to how you feel!Keep smiling buddy, and i really wish you all the best! Take care of yourself and things may just get better
@@waynekieft4952 Thanks Wayne, truly the kindness of strangers does give me hope. Yes, sometimes looking at the pains other people have to endure, can help you get a perspective... thanks for sharing & I hope you continue to heal too. Peace.
@@Mindboggle100The world we live in would be a much nicer place if everyone learned to give a little and learn to help each other a little more! Unfortunately we live in times where most humans don't have any compassion or even an ounce of empathy, everyone is chasing a pound instead!I really wish you all the best and really do hope that lifes hurdles are not too high for you,all the best my friend and please take care of yourself!!!!
Marc, I have listened to as much of your music as I can find on RU-vid, this is amazing, absolutely amazing, thank you. Visit Lincoln sometime, please!
Technic is nothing without feeling. He has more than a ton of it. Music straight from the heart into the heart. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and feeling with us. God bless you.
This is the reason every professional guitar player says over and over... your sound is in your fingers and not in your equipment. Mark is utterly unique in his mastery of this instrument.
Mark Allen you ould easily be the best guitarist of all time, I honestly dont think anyone who's heard you would think differently. So talented, so soulful, just beautiful. Love and light from Sydney x
