I love native plants, and have done a lot of research on them. The wild lettuce is one of my favorites. I love them all, but I love the purple dead nettle as well. It’s another one of my favorites, I make tea with it a lot!! It’s very good for inflammation and is packed with antioxidants!! Great video, and great job!! Mae God bless you and your family!✝️👈🏼❤️‍🔥🙏👍🏼. 👍🏼👍🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

I don't understand the "pulled everything off". Did you drain most of the water, but then isn't the liquid what you wanted by cooking it? Or, did you mean you took it off the stove after cooking it down till most of the water was gone? This looks really interesting.. and may come in useful someday. Thank you.....
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699 3 месяца назад
Yes, you are correct, "Pull every off" as in, I just removed my pot with the water and lettuce off my stove top. This is a great method. If you cook even more water off, it gets thicker, and you can make a resin from it. The resin has a very long shelf life, but it's so highly condenced that a little bit goes a very long way. This makes it easier to store large amounts of shelf stable herbs in a small area. I'm glad you found this video helpful!

Heres my questions you said you use squirts.could be more specific using teaspoon amounts for wet and dry.what if you wanted to capsule the dry. Is one capsule full enough.thanks
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
Everyone metabolized herbs and medicine different. The most accurate amount would be by weight, cause not every teaspoon holds the same exact weight of materials. I can't tell you how much you should use, because what may be a perfectly fine amount for me, may actually make you severely I'll. I can take 4mg of morphine pills, and still be screaming in pain. If I told you to take high doses of pain killers that I use to treat my pain, it may be the very thing that could kill another person. The only way you are going to know the right amount for you, is if you test your own products on your own body. Start slow and low. You can always take more if you need it, but if you take too much and get violently ill, you will be stuff with the side effects for several hours. It's kinda like a shot: low doeses may be ok, and higher doses may not. You can always take more as you need it, but you can't take a shot back, after it's been injected. Everyone is different. You won't know how the herb effects you, or how much you need to take, until you experiment on yourself. So start low and slow, and work up from there. I'm sure you will figure out the dosage you need based on your unique physiology.

thanks for the video, have you ever used it? and how did it work? I've read that the sap/milk of the bigger stalk when taken in adequate amounts (of course that's why you need a bigger stalk to collect it more of it) has the same results as opioids, but not with the same withdrawal symptoms.... so I've wondered for some time, could that be used to help people who want to stop using opioid narcotics? It's a thought.
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699 2 года назад
Yes, I've used it, and yes it does work. The higher the concentration the stronger it will be. The more watered down it is, the weaker it will be. If somebody has had surgery, a stronger concentration would be better suited to their needs, but if you have a simple headache, or a mild muscle sprain, a weaker version would be better. You can always start small and add more if you need it, but once it's too strong, unfortunately it's not something you can undo. Wild lettuce contains lactucarium, which is a mild narcotic. Wild lettuce shares many of the same characteristics as opium poppies which is considered an opioid, and is a key ingredient in morphine, codeine, and heroine. With wild lettuce, you can certainly compare it to morphine in highly concentrated versions, and you won't get as many of the harmful side effects, like stronger narcotics or opioids like poppies produce. That said, you should still be careful with it. If you take too much of this plant, it can definitely make you sick, but because it lacks properties that would classify it as a opioid, it remains perfectly legal. It's certainly not going to hurt you like opioids, and strong narcotics will, but that doesn't mean you should underestimate its powerful properties either. For me personally, I found 2 squirts to be sufficient to help me with a strong and persistent migraine headache, which I wanted to be able to dose for. For things like muscle tears and bad sprains, I take a little more. As I said earlier, It's easy to start small, and build up a little more to help treat a current plain level. But if you over do it off the bat, you will feel sick for a while till it works it's way back out of your system. Wild lettuce is a pain killer, and as such, it should be handled with care.

There are several different types of wild lettuce. If you have problems identifying it, I would contact your local herbologist or spend time googling your local wild lettuce variety with Google images or other high-quality plant identification books for your local area. If you can't identify the herb and differentiate between its look-a-likes, my best advice would be to leave it alone. I wish you the best of luck, and good health.

Hello. Usualy i dont comment on youtube videos, but you seem like a nice person and i wanted to help. I dont know about this particular plant,but i have some general knowledge. Generally, to preserve food form bad microbes,you need to dry it as much as posible.If you dont wanna dry it extremly, u can prserve it from microbes by doing this things: saving it in very cold place, or incerse sugar concentration, or increse salt concentration,or combine it with something highly acidic, o infuze it with cold smoke.You can also do combinations of this antimicrobe strategies,but thats not always going to be very tasty for eating. My eye opening video on this topic was video from youtuber “ Adam Ragusae- How smokes preserves food“ .Talking about wild food,i would also recomend books from “ John Kallas: 1. Edible Wild Plants: Wild Foods From Dirt To Plate (possible to find online in pdf), 2. Edible Wild Plants : Wild Foods From Foraging To Feasting.“ I write this comment in rush becouse my friend is waiting me,sry for mistakes i make (my bad english). Have a great day, God bless.

Thanks for your feedback! Most of the pain fighing qualities in this plant come from the milky fluid sap in the plant. When the plant is dry, you can't extract the wet sap anymore. An extract is done with the infusion of the plant's wet sap, in water. A tincture is when you extract the wet sap with alcohol or vinigar. An extract and a tincture are 2 different things, and for the purpose of this video, I was only making an extract, and just as you say, extracts don't have a long shelf life, on their own, even if you store it in the refrigerator. Tinctures can be shelf stable for a very long time, but still must be stored in a cool dark place. The other resources you provided are fantastic! I look forward to reading those! Thank you so much for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated! Also, out of the books you listed, which one is your favorite? I'd like to start reading, with your favorite book first.

@@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699 Okay thats nice,i didnt know much about tincture or anything medicinal,but i think i will try to learn some medicinal plants later. I am glad u find my comment helpfull. You asked which of these 2 books i prefer. I have to admit,on my shame, that i recomended them without reading them. I read most of the first part:“edible wild plants:wild foods from dirt to plate“,i read it online from laptop,here is link,i hope this link works for you: (after posting this comment and refreshing page my comment wasnt apearing under video,i tried few times and it didnt work and after clicking link for book it said something like „page blocked“,so i try now post comment without link for book,meaby it will work now ). I couldnt find second part online for free. My plan was to save some money and buy both books and read both books from papar. I still might do that but its not my priority now becouse these 2 books are discribing only about 40 plants in total,i still have to use Internet to identifiy other 200 plants ( i dont know how many). I think these books are just little help in begining if you are afraid to try new plants,and im not afraid anymore to try new plants. Im not employed. Almost every day i walk 1 or 2 hoers and try to identify or remeber different edible plants,i try to have plastic bag always with me in pocket and collect some of them. Then when i go home i cook plants i know ( with potatos and olive oil for exemple),and plant that im not sure about i compare with photos from google.I find the easyest way to serch specific photos on google is to use latin name of plants. Then later in day i try to serch on Internet for other wild edible plants,im just trying to go over lists of edible wild plants,use their latin name so i can find photo,then i walk around my area trying to recognise edible wild plants that i recently saw on photos that i looked (or any other edible plants in my area,about 10 km from where i live). I try to read only about plants that i will eat soon .Al this resherching can take lot of time,i will try to tell other things that i learned about surviving in last few months , meaby it can save some resherching time if u are intersted in that . I will put some youtube links but i really dont expect that you whatch them, and i dont expect that u reply on this comment,i just wanted to be helpfull (but im really just bigginer in reserching). Here are some informations surviving ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vS3G_tnPUBM.html ,now i cant find original video that i wacthed for „rule of threes“,you can find „rule of threes“ on Internet but that video was good becouse he expained that if u are hungry and thirsty,and find only food ,is better to note eat that food becouse it will dehydrate you faster if u eat and not drink,compare to not eat and not drink. I have plan to dehydrate most of my food and put them in glass jars, and after few months not use refrigerator any more.Only two electrical devices im planing to use are dehydrator and water boiler (to prepare dehydrated food) .I plan preparing dryed vegetables with hot water and fruit with cold water to save some fruit vitamins,also to dehydrate fruit at lower temperatures below 120 f /48 c . Food can have proteins,fats,carbohydrates,minerals and vitamins. I think any of those can survive little higher temperatures, only vitamins cant. For getting minerals are also good teas (like olive leaf tea and others) .For carbohydrates ,i plan to save them by drying fruit and acorns ,or if i have lot of fruit,save it as a sirup. In next two videos is shown how to make apple sirup,but i think its same with all fruits . As water evaporates from juice,juice has more concetration of sugar,i think, which as i understan it,makes it undrikable to microorganisms (As i understand it now ,food can be bad for us in only two ways.One is becouse of microorganisms .Other is becouse of chemical. Microorganisms can use food that we use,so we fight microorganisms by removing them water to drink,or making that water undrinkable to them with sugar or salt or acid or some other way). Here are videos : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HsO3HpSnFxg.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4-4H5YVFJyE.html . For dehydrating foods its best if they have less then 2 procent fats. Most of vegetables and fruits have less then 1 procent fats. About fats i still need to lern,i know you can save them sepetely ,like olive oil or lard, but people say they dont dehydrate them with original food. Fats in combination with water or oxigen canbecome rancid (which in not very dangerous,it is more „unpleasent“).I think (but i dont know yet) that the reason to separate them is becouse when dehydrating with higher temperatures its more likely that fats will make chemical reaction with water and oxigen becouse of higher temperature (i think thats why they choose low fat food to dehydrate). Animals also have everithing (except vitamins i think,becouse you cook them) . I think most of animals can be used as a food .Vegetarian animals are more safe to use. Meat eating animals,epecialy vultures,they eat raw meat that can contain parasite trichinella. In order to safely eat meat contaminated with parasite trichinlla,it should be cooked very hot (more than 72 celsius) so every peace of meet is deeply cooked. In this comment i choose rather to write more then less,so you can pick some ideas from that if u find it useful. Before i make this comment i thought that i will take time to think what i will write and to take time to be sure i didnt make mistakes with english,but that way i would probably not write anithing at al.When i realised i will not write anithing at all i said to myself i will try to write it without thinking a lot,and that is it 😊.

@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699 5 месяцев назад
I am sure it would still be beneficial, as the plant has many properties that can be used, but the sap is the primary source of pain medicine that is most sought out by this plant. Some folks hang dry and grind the herb for teas or topical compresses. A fine powder could be used to make homemade vitamins. Oil infusions could be used in salves. There are so many things you could do with this herb, including eating the fresh leaves! I haven't explored all the depths of this herb personally yet, but there are many ways you can use it. Extracts and tinctures barely touch the surface, but these 2 methods are some of the best and most sought after method, for achieving pain relief. I have a bunch of dried herbs right now, and I am exploring the possibility of using it in many of the ways I have described. I would spend some time reaching the many uses of the plant and find ways to use them. I haven't tried this personally yet, but it may be possible that an oil infusion mixed with yarrow might make a fantastic topical would healing salve. I have not researched this, so I don't know if it would work, but in theory, it certainly could. But please, before trying anything, make sure you always do your own research and never take blind advice from random folks online. Im still learning, and I'm prone to making mistakes, too. Remember, just cause one method may not work for one thing, doesn't mean it would be useless for another. Only way to gain knowledge is to search, and the only way to gain experience is to try it. I hope my answer was helpful. I wish you the best of luck!

Very simple recipe how much would you take for a very bad case of arthritis i have chronic pain in my hip waiting on a hip transplant
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699 11 месяцев назад
That will actually be decided upon you, and how well your body tolerated it, or metabolizes it. If you are allergic to it, then you shouldn't take it at all, and if you take so much that it makes you sick, then you have taken too much. Everyone is different, every pain is different, and how our bodies tolerate things is also very different. So my best advice for you, is to listen to your body, and see what it tells you it needs and how much. For the hip, I would definitely use magnesium. Magnesium can help take down and remove some of the born spurs. Ascorbic acid is also helpful in this regard as it also does the same thing, but it can also help rebuild tissues and improve joint fluidity and lubrication so the joint doesn't grind and degrade needly so bad. Jello is a must, as it helps rebuild cartilage and some types of connective tissues. Termeric is also great for inflammation and joint issues. Because the blood brain barrier is so dense in most people, the edible termeric isn't always absorbed by the body. So to enhance the benefit of termeric, you can add a drop or two of DMSO in your termeric powder capsules, and it will escort the termic into your system so its much more efficient. I use DMSO gel on my muscle sprains, strains, tears, and arthritis. It helps with inflammation bruising and aids in faster healing. If you decide to use DMSO topically, wash the skin very well before you apply it. It is very strong, so if anything is on your skin, the DMSO will push it through your skin. It's safe to use, and it's even used directly injected into the bladder to treat interstitial cystitis by medical professionals. Another thing you may consider, is a topical CBD or hemp oil type salve or lotion that can be applied over the area. Again, please for your own safety, never take the word of a stranger on line, as truth, with out doing your own research first. I'm not a licensed medical professional and I cannot treat or diagnose issues, but I can tell you what I do, and why, and I can tell you in helps me. This is the best information I can provide at the moment. Because I don't know your medical history, or your medications, I have no idea if anything I have suggested could cause an unforseen reaction, it's unlikely, but the risk is never zero. If you need any other assistance, please let me know, and I will respond back, but please make sure you do your own research before taking blind advice from anyone on line, including me. I wish you the best of luck!

If you can grow dandelions, you can grow wild lettuce. Dandelions are a close cousin, and will work in the same way wild lettuce does. I know there are other wild lettuce cousins you can also make extracts from. If you are unable to make your own extracts, there are companies out there that sell it year round for your consumption. I'm sure if you Google it, you can find a distributor.

@@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699 thank you for your suggestions. I will surely try it out. Can i I use sow thistle for pain relief. God bless you always.
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
From my understanding, yes, but do your own research first! Never ever take someones information as fact, with out doing your own homework. I am not skilled in sow thistle, I haven't researched it well, nor do I have any personal experience with it. But according to online rumor, it is my understanding that you can. I can't tell ya all the times people have claimed a rumor to be fact with out doing their research first. Some people claim sow thistle to be poisonous, and others dont. It's my understanding that it isn't poisonous, but I'll be honest, I have not researched sow thistle as well as I have other wild herbs. So before you try it, always do your own research, and never take someones advice as fact, with out it. Not even mine. I wouldn't deliberately lead anyone astray, but the truth is, that I'm still learning and I'm only human. So for your own personal safety, please do your own homework. You may discover that something others tell you, may not be as factual as they believe it to be. It could quite possibly save your life. I hope this helps, and best of luck to you!

Sorry I saw your message so late! Yes, you could use it at any stage, but it is best to harvest it right around the time it flowers, as the sap will be at its richest. But if lil fellers is all you got, make use of the resource when ever you can! Also, there is no harm in transferring them to a pot! They grow well in patio raised gardens, so if you can save the little ones, transplant them while you can, and later you can plant their seeds for next year's harvest! Remember, they like well drained and sand rich soil, and they love lots and lots of sunshine! Best of luck to you! I hope my late response is still helpful to you!

If it's got a lot of water in it, you may need a shot glass to treat your pain, verses a few drops of the tar. To be a true tincture, it must be made with a pure alcohol, or vinegar. Because I didn't use alcohol or vinegar, this method is not a tincture, and will have a different shelf life, as alcohol and vinegar has its own way to preserve the herbs, unlike a water and heat based method does.

If I recall correctly, I don't think spinach has the same properties. You can however make this same extract from dandelions, as they have the same properties that wild lettuce has. As far as the shelf life, I'm not sure. Since my extract has more water in it, it probably has a shorter life span than the thicker tar version. My guess would be 6 months, to one year, if kept in the refrigerator. If you sturdy more about shelf life, I'm sure there is a way to preserve it so it lasts longer.

Wild lettuce is used to treat pain. I wouldn't advise it's use for insomnia. To make a shelf stable liquid version, you will need to make a tincture with alcohol or vinegar. You know it's totally bizarre, but i can barely pick the prickly lettuce because it hurts my fingers. However if you take the same leaf that you can barely touch for the prickles, pop it in your mouth and it doesnt hurt at all. As we know our finger tips have such sensitive nerve endings, but we wouldnt actually get cut by those little prickles, we just think we would when we feel them. I think our tongues dont have all thise nerve endings like our fingertips, theres no pain. So either way fingertips or eating it, youre not actually gonna get pricked.
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
The tongue surprisingly has even more nerves to it than the fingers do! It also has more blood supply! I think it's the power of the mind at play here. Sometimes if you think it's gonna hurt, it will. When you see spines, normally we think ouch! For me, if it pokes my fingers it will definitely poke my tongue. There are fuzzy things I can't touch cause it hurts like a sliver. Pain sensory, is different for everyone, and so is the perception of it. Pain is one of those interesting things, that will be different for everyone. That's interesting you find your fingers as more sensitive. This is not common for all people.

@@LinaMoon17 That's wonderful it helped you! And yes, I have eaten and pulled several varieties of wild lettuce, and in my experience, what pokes my fingers also pokes my mouth much worse. The oval leaf variety, is the only one that doesn't stab me in any way. Everyone's nervous system is different, and sometimes it can react in the complete opposite way of what is typically known or expected. I've recently become aware that I have a rare genetic disorder, that changes the way my body functions entirely. I'm one of the very few people who wake up in the middle of surgery, medications used to treat seizures make my seizures worse, and I also experience spontaneous internal bleeding and muscle tears with out any injury to cause it. This problem is much worse than it sounds, especially when you seek treatment at the ER, and Drs think you are lying to them, so and you don't get the medical treatment you need. If your body functions in common ways that is similar to your piers, you can count yourself extremely lucky! Everyone is unique, and it's good to recognize these differences, just in case someone has an unexpected reaction. Ya never know, what works for you, that you may recommend to others, may actually cause them to go into anaphylactic shock. I was told once that I should try marijuana to treat my seizures, but when I walked into a pot shop, I went into anaphylactic shock. My mouth and throat got itchy red hives, my nose and tongue swelled, but the worst was having my lungs seize and swell up. You can't talk, or breath with anaphylaxis. It's like drowning on dry land, and you can pass out in minutes. What one person experiences, may not be what another person will experience, so it's good to be play it safe, and never assume anything, just in case.

Can you give an idea how much leaf to water, and how much of the rendered final product to use?
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
I wish I had a simple answer, but unfortunately I don't. But I do have an answer. For the water to plant ratio, you need only enough water to coat your plants to cook it with. Your pot size may change the amount of water you will need, and since I don't know how much plants mater you are able to gather, I can't give you an exact amount, but I can tell you that you need enough water to cover the plants. If you don't add enough water, the water won't be able to extract all of the sap material. If you add too much water, it's not gonna hurt anything, but it will mean that you will need to spend more time steam cooking the water off, to condense and strengthen your extract. The more you steam off the water, the stronger your extract will become. The dosing is more complicated. Everyone will have a different dosing level. For example, let's say I take a table spoon a day, and it works for me. If someone else is more sensitive to the plant, they might need a teaspoon, cause a table spoon makes them sick, like a bad overdose. But if you are allergic to the plant, and take my dose of a tablespoon, it could kill you. I can't tell you what dose to take, cause I don't know your medical history, and I don't know how condensed/strong your finished extract may be. Because of these 2 very real reasons, I can't tell you how much you should take, because I don't know if you should be taking it in the first place. I can tell you, that if you want to try it, start with a low dose, and see how you do. If you can handle more, take more. It's better to take less and build up, than over do it, and get sick, or worse. This is what I did when I tested my own tolerance to the plant, and the potency of the extract, to see how or if it worked for me. I wish I could give you an exact scientific answer, but I don't have any lab tests that tells me how watered down my extract is, or what strength and ratios the specific ameno acids it contains, nor am I capable achieving the exact levels the exact same way, so every batch is the same. Because I don't have the exact science, and I don't know your medical history, I can't answer your question with exact knowledge, because the duplicate lab testing, cannot be achieved. Unfortunately, that is the nature of homeopathic remedies. You use what works best for you, to the best of your knowledge, with what you have on hand. I hope my answer helps you with your own testing, and also helps you understand why I can't give you a definitive answer. Just start slow and easy when you start. I've never taken too much, so I can't comment on how it feels if you overdose on the plant, but other report that when they take too much it makes them very sick. So just start slow and easy. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

I wish you would have let us know the dosage what we should take how many drops and all that
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
It's going to be different for everyone, and every batch. I used a full eye dropper for this batch, and half a dropper for my second batch, as my second batch was more concentrated, but if you are more sensitive, you may only need a few drops of this plant. My advise is to try a little bit, and see how your body tolerates it, and take more as needed. Everyone will have a different level they can tolerate the extract, and every batch will not be perfectly the same as the last one. So it's really going to be up to how concentrated you make your batch, and your sensitivity to the plant. Because of this, I cannot accurately tell you with any sertainty how much you should take. I don't know your medical history, your allergies, and I can't see how concentrated your extract is, so I cannot tell you what you should take or how much. I can tell you to start with a low amount and see how you tolerate it. Unfortunately this is the best advise I can give anyone, when self dosing their own unknown concentrated levels of herbal medicines. I hope my explanation makes sense to you.

All I can tell ya is to simmer your pot. The temperature of when you reach "simmering point" for your elevation will certainly be different than mine. What an ignorant statement...Marijuana is a WEED
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
Of course! Marijuana is a weed! It's a highly controlled substance, to the point it's illegal to grow in several countries, including many USA states! The definition of a a weed, is a plant that grows in a place you don't want it to, and most people definitely don't want marijuana growing anywhere near them, which is exactly why marijuana is a weed. Marijuana is just an herb, just like dead purple nettle, mullen, wild lettuce, dandelions, goatheads, yarrow, rabbit brush, and thissle. They are all herbs, with medicinal and edible properties, but because they grow in places nobody wants, they are also by definition considered a weed too! I'm amused and a little baffled by your comment. It's quite hurtful to call people names, while claiming marijuana is a weed, yet seemingly unaware of what a weed definition actually is. May I make a helpful suggestion: Before you judge others and call people names, could you please do a little research first? It's really confusing to be accused of being wrong, while simultaneously prove them right. Thank you for your consideration in advance, and I hope you have a fantastic day!

Sure, I drive people nuts with my over sharing and talking, but I do the best I can with what I got, and my hope is, that maybe I can say something, than nobody else has said yet. Sometimes when you got disabilities and challenges, it shows in your work, but if you produce good content, maybe you can help someone in spite of those changes, and that's exactly why Im here. I try to help people, even if I do drive em nuts sometimes. Thanks for your comment, it made me giggle! As a work in progress, I'll work on that a little more! Have a fantastic day!

Looks like thistle too

Yes, some types of thistle are in the same family as wild lettuce.

My mixture is not brown it's green after cooking
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
That is very interesting. Every method I've seen using water, produces a brown substance. If you are using alcohol or vinegar, to make a tincture, this is probably why it looks different.
@sacredearththerapeutics9308
My mixture is a dark army green color too-I think it didn't cook long enough. Trying it as a strong tea until I do the next batch...

Sow thistle looks Alot like it to.
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699 2 года назад
Yes it does! Sow thistle has a wavy up and down twist to its edge. Straight on they look identical, but that edge and it's stem are the different identifying characteristic. That said, dandelion, sow thistle, and wild lettuce share many of the same identical chemical components. Each plant is different, but they share some of the same qualities. You can make a pain reliving tincture from all them them, as they are all related. You still should know what plant you are harvesting, as there are some poisonous look a likes. Just like elderberries, the dark type (black, blue, purple) are edible when cooked, and the bright ones (red, orange, salmon) can kill you. Same plant but different varieties with different outcomes. I encourage everyone not to take my word for it, but to do Their own research. After all, the choices we make in life, are ultimately our own. Each person is responsible for their own life story. I just can help point people in a general direction. In most cases it's better than where people started out.

cheap shop, sells those bottles in a pack
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
I always use packs. But sometimes I interchange stuff, especially if I need something specific and I'm low in my supplies. Not everyone is capable of ordering stuff, and with supplies being low, sometimes you just gotta work with what you got! Thanks for your comment! I will look up the "cheap shop" that you mentioned.

Talk a lot but not straight to the point... why can't you go straight to the point
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
I'm ADHD and autistic. I do my own filming, and try to do my crafts while also looking through a camera lense, keeping pets and noise pollution down, and trying to talk and not say stupid stuff at the same time. Frankly, its kinda like putting a dog in room filled with squirrels, and expecting him to only bring you the yellow ball you toss in after him. If he brings you a ball at all it's a mericle! I'm just glad I can provide content for folks that they might be able to learn from, in spite of my own challenges to provide it. In addition to this, I have many different types of viewers and they all learn different ways. To accommodate each one of them, to the best of my ability, I must provide as much information as I can in one place, to help give seasoned pros, as well as beginners something that could be useful to them. I'm sorry if that has caused you to feel annoyed, but I am doing my best, even with the multiple challenges I deal with on a daily basis, while also helping my viewers as well. Best of luck, and thanks for your comment! I appreciate feedback from my viewers, especially when it's going to help me provide better content. You have a fantastic day!

My yard is a forest of wild lettuce right now. They’re taller than me and I’m over 6ft

I have a few in my yard, suburban midwest, though I have a large yard backed up to the woods. Mine are a good 10 ft tall or so. Waiting for them to flower so I can gather some seeds and grow more next year.

@@terrapinflyer273 Holy crap. My tallest have reached about 7ft. I chopped some down, but kept a handful. I wanna see them flower.

@@terrapinflyer273 They aren’t easy to cut down either. The stems are huge, like small tree trunks, and you can’t just pull them out of the ground at this point. It’s virtually impossible. I had to chop them at the base.

@@terrapinflyer273 Also, my neighbors are landscapers, and they’re really annoyed by me letting them grow. It’s hilarious. They finally came over and asked me why. I explained that I wanted to try to use some for pain relief, and they were confused.
@basichomesteadingandsurviv3699
I can't tell ya all the times I hear that! Folks want to get rid of all these dang weeds, completely unaware of how medicinal and edible those plants are! Education does amazing things for people who truly seek it!
