There are no Rio's Grand Cichlids in that part of Brush Creek. I'm in Austin, let me know next time you up hear and I'll put you on some Rio's. Fun Video.

I’ll happily take you up on that! I’ve had pretty good luck at that spot in previous years, landed like 9 or 10 one day one of which was a SLAB. But it’s been a while. I wonder what has happened.

Well put together video and an enjoyable watch. Haven't seen you guys before but as a texas native and avid fly fisherman I always appreciate some freshwater videos as opposed to the usual redfish focused ones we often see. Just my 2 cents though as a freelance video editor and camera enthusiast, take a look at the dynamic range of your camera as well as your shutter speed when out on the water. Some of your white areas are completely blasted out and overexposed in direct sunlight. Y'all are crushing it in other areas that are more shady though. Good stuff, keep it up.

I appreciate the kind words! As for the blown out footage you might actually know this. So I used premiere pro (I am an absolute beginner in editing) the first time I exported the saturation was extremely low, although it was fine in my edit. So I found out that a codec used by premiere pro by default has issues. So there’s a LUT that was made to fix this. I used that LUT upon export and didn’t rewatch to double check it fixed the issue. It seems to fix some clips, but others seemed to be blown out as you said. I guess I’m confused because only some of the clips seem to be blown out while others the exposure and color seem to be fixed. Any ideas?

Unfortunately they have discontinued the packs we are wearing, but they are working on concepts for new zippered backpacks and hip packs. They will look different, but will be zippered waterproof packs!
