My first pokemon was pokemon red for gameboy color(2000)( Kanto baby). I was 6yrs old. Now im currently 20 and I still enjoy pokemon. But 3rd gen( hoenn) had the best battle music though
This was SUCH a step up in music from Generation 2. I remember that my cousin had the game. We went to some resort in Galena, and when this music started playing. I was SOLD. For the rest of the trip, Pokemon Ruby was basically all we did together.
It's almost ten years since Ruby/Sapphire release... I was 9 by the time. Damn, sounds like it was yesterday. It was a nice period, playing all around with the Gba, but this time is gone now. I want to cry now...
r/s had such a great sound to it. really unique, it just felt all futuristic and new and cool. gosh, just listening to it now i feel like im a dorky little 13 year old again.
I remember seeing this game for the first time in my cousin's hands. This music BLEW MY MIND. You have to understand, all the Pokemon songs in the games previous to this were 8-bit! So I did chores at my grandmother's house all summer long until I had enough money to buy an SP and this game. The wait was WELL WORTH IT.
Reminds me of the winter nights I'd spend curled up underneath a lamp to see the GBA better and playing this for hours on end. Hard to believe that was 10 years ago.
Ever since Black and White Versions, they stopped making a 3rd game for a generation (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum) for some reason. I guess they stopped since they didn't sell well, like come on, they came way later after the 2 main games and didn't offer much new conten
[Twilight Sparkle] (My Little Pony) I used to wonder what friendship could be (My Little Pony) Until you all shared its magic with me [Rainbow Dash] Big adventure [Pinkie Pie] Tons of fun [Rarity] A beautiful heart [Applejack] Faithful and strong [Fluttershy] Sharing kindness [Twilight Sparkle] It's an easy feat And magic makes it all complete You have my little ponies Do you know you're all my very best friends
@tehpiezorz I can see where you could get that from the Rival Battle theme, but I don't really see it in the rest of the soundtrack. In particular, it has my #2 favorite Wild Battle theme, and one of my top 3 favorite Gym Leader Battle themes. Overall, I feel the D/P soundtrack was better, but some tracks in BW really impressed me(like the theme for Route 10), as well as the end credits theme. I feel like they put a lot more effort into the soundtracks of these past two gens.
As someone who GREW UP with Red and Blue...whose first experience with them was on my brand new Gameboy Color I got in 7th grade. As someone who used to talk about them all the time, all the crazy theories about how to get Mew or the new mysterious Pikablue that was rumored to exist.....you, sir are ignorant. X and Y have recaptured the long lost magic of the series. I will go so far as to say they are the best ones yet, and that means a lot. Previously Heartgold/Soulsilver held that title.
I grew up with gen 1 and think gen 2 is better than it and also think that after gen 3 it became a bore of a series. Some people have nostalgia glasses, some people just feel the series became unappealing in many ways. Less creative, much slower, way more to do but more of a chore because of it, fails to innovate and doesn't give much reason to play. I'm done with Pokemon until they can change it up enough. There have been better monster raising and battling games for some time now. Fanboy alert
Because they follow a children's TV show as if it's their own exclusive cult. The worst part is they brand themselves ''Bronies'' taking unnecessary pride in labelling themselves It's like, I might still appreciate shows such as DBZ, but you don't see me ''flying'' around with my arms infront saying ''I AM THE SOLE HEIR OF ALL SAIYANS.'' and trying to stop a car with my non-existent powers
Fuck Mario! Our generation was about taking Route 1 up to Victory Road and kicking ass all the way. "Shit a fire type, got to change to my water pokemon!" Pokemon broke free! Fisherman Wade sent out Magikarp...FUCK! Ditto is a sex toy! Complete the Pokedex! Fucking Memories dude. I just finished White and am now going back into Pearl to play again. I'm 23 btw, that shows just how awesome these games still are!
take off the nostalgia goggles already, stop crappin on the designs of new gen pokemon, who gives a fuck if they are spammed with detail? game freak is trying their hardest! and if you havent seem to noticed, all your comments were marked as spam, you kinda already lost the fight against the garboder, no offense
"Allright, Latios should be next, i only got one shot at this. HEY SIS COME LOOK I GETT A LATIOS NAO!" A wild Zigzagoon has appeared! "FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" 54 Zigzagoons later:....... "Run away, run aw- OH SHIT NOOOOOOOOO LATIOS DONT RUN AWAY FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF" Happened more than once to me.
Sorry, I didn't say it in detail, I meant very good for its time, but pales in comparison to the 2nd gen and so on in terms of pokemon stats and other. (Mewtwo was freakin OP at the time) and I PERSONALLY don't really like gen 1 that much, It's REALLY overrated.
even tho i have never played this game, i like the theme, but i like the original one better, it was just a magical song for the GB (were talking that it was a box in black and white and pretty lame to be honest) so im sorry, the GBA was too advanced so it didnt impress me at all
@xantyleonhart Well it feels like it's been a long time since I opened up Pokémon Sapphire and a GBA for my 6th birthday. I'm actually 15 years old, by the way. And I have played Yellow and Gold, shortly after beating Sapphire, as well as LeafGreen and HeartGold, the last one I still play today.
@chinbawlz SAPPHIRE WAS MY FIRST GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO DON'T BE MEAN TO KYOGRE!!!! What don't you like about it, anyways? Its looks? Groudon does look more impressive, and Rayquaza is awesome too. But Kyogre is also an impressive pokemon. What is it you don't like about it?
Sapphire was really the only Pokemon game I ever played, I still have the cart somewhere. I remember putting a flashlight on my shoulders while resting against the wall and playing this at night under the covers xD
Ehhhh... I still like the Wild Pokemon themes from RBY and BW more. RSE had the weakest soundtrack for me, due to the awful(imo) soundfont, and the use of the EXACT SAME INTRO MELODY for every single song. >.>;;
I played pokemon black and white, and then black and white 2 and they where basically a waste of money. I tried to enjoy it but they look like fucking digimon its just not as good as red and blue and I have a feeling that x/y is going to be the same.
See how far that'll get me? I really don't think me choosing red/blue over x/y is going to affect my life at all. I prefer the older games because I grew up with it. It was my childhood and it will always kick any new generations ass
@MrGame1414 I really hope there is a remake, although I have the actual gameboy games. I just want to play my favorite pokemon game for the DS or something. I only have ruby and emerald, but not sapphire. I might get the sapphire remake, if Nintendo does it
I love ever pokemon game ever, but I don't know why but this is the best battle music (besides red/lances) in pokemon SS/HG, This pokemon music is just so intense when I heard this music playing ruby I was like "OH HELL YEA POKEMON BATTLE".
Yeah, it's ok. I just recently became a big fan of the series (Started with Platinum). And didn't try playing the games earlier because I thought they were as dumb and illogical as the Anime.
Is that such a bad thing? Now both of you, stop whining about your opinion on Pokemon and enjoy this track. This was my first game, and if you two have nothing better to do than fight, at least settle it in a private chatroom.
Apparently you grew up in the Wii Age. You don't say "the Original version of the 'Wild Pokemon Battle song (Ruby/Sapphire)' in Super Smash Bros. Brawl", You say "This is the Wild Pokemon Battle from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire"
I had this game as a teenager. I am 26 and have 3DS and soon PSV. I outgrow pokemon now but will play Final Fantasy X on the Vita when they come out since the gameplay is similiar I hear but more adult orient game.
@SmashBrosPlatoon I had my sister to show me how to play, so I never got to run into this. Also, I pressed the L and R buttons accidentally like 50 times so I ended up just reading the help. That was a waste of time.
@arceusmon Thats an opinion. Hoenn is my personal favorite, due to the fact that it has so much variety. Such as theres a desert, a volcano, an actual ocean, underwater. ect. Just a really good break from 9000 grass routes.
i almost cry when heard this again; i know this isnt like the original games but this version was the one i played a bazillion times, i played sooo much when i wason school! definetly simpler times :)
This sounds soooo much better than the brawl version, which is hard to believe, but for some reason, the Brawl version decided not to include much percussion, I like that constant beat that this song has.
i don't get you. if you want to know whats the fuff about, then just watch one epsoide of mlpfim. and then you will see why alot of men love the show. seeing is believed.
After having played so much Sapphire so long ago, I can barely stand Black's battle theme. Or any music of Black's except very few, compared to Sapphire's soundtrack.
sodapop jam I feel a strange sense of pity for anyone who has ORAS as their first game. It's not very good and lacks a lot which pisses me off. Also, if you can't tell why the trumpets sound good, then you are simply too young to be able to appreciate old fashioned video game music.
sodapop jam Aaah, right. My apologies. I was mistaken to jump to the conclusion that someone who played ORAS as their first pokemon game would be a younger person >_< I haven't even got OR yet because in Europe it doesn't come out until tomorrow. I'm pissed that they delayed it for a week without stating a reason, since there's no game corner for them to remove at all. But in any case, based on most of the coverage of the games, I am already against it in many ways. Soaring, for example, belittles the size of the region compared to other regions which feel larger because you don't see them all. I find the colour scheme to be far too rich, and the fact that they removed character customisation because the director (Junichi Masuda) is a total twat and thinks only French (Kalos / XY) people change clothes. And it pains me to hate so much about ORAS when Emerald was my first, and favourite, pokemon game.
This was the BEST!! wild pokemon music i ever heard... BW.. is just lame.. sorry... i wish they could give you an option on what songs or music you would like for wild pokemons... =P
sorry if a defend Gen 1 too much, but im from the time that Pokemon (the first time) was simply magical, i dont know if you can understand that younger people dont understand it
I remember when I played the game in primary school and when the music started in a battle and someone asked for my attention I used to say sorry to busy been awesome
@chinbawlz Unfortunately, while i'm all for Ruby..Every step of the way. I know Kyogre is a VERY powerful legendary. Much better than Rayquaza and Groudon :(
*music plays* Trainer: WOOOT i bet its a really rare pokemon naraitor:A wild....Zigzagoon appeared Trainer:aww but nice mmusic anyway Zigzagoon: thx an
its sad how little originality is left with the pokemon games ~_~ no offence to anyone, just how i feel, i love all the games up until peal and diamond
