This week see's us fishing a beautiful river and searching for some of the big trout that inhabit this system. River levels were up after some recent rain which made things a little more difficult but perseverance pays off again with some spectacular trout.

What a tank so beautifully marked. I can safely say that California has maybe one river that you can catch a German brown of that caliber. It's great to see a RU-vid, right handed angler using a left hand wind reel. It's amazing how many people, experts(?) even, have either been taught incorrectly or gained the wrong idea in the first instance. A far more efficient manner in which to go about it.

Hi Alex Great video. Noticed you are using a different hip pack. What brand is that one, is it easy to access the tippit spools and does a water bottle get in the way when you wear it on the right hip. How does it compare to your other packs?

It’s the new one from Orvis. Really like it and the tipper spools are handy as but haven’t used the water bottle pouch so can’t comment on that.
