I really hope Dark ranger and Packleader get remade, I can’t look at Mages and then look at we got and not feel super doomer, any hunters on alpha do your parttt get that feedback in
Three boring ass talent trees for hunter imo. No additional pets, no dual wielding glaives, nothing mechanically interesting. I hope at least the visual effects are cool.
For survival, this is more of what i was excited for. Wild spirits made Survival feel pretty god tier in most situations, and seeing arcane explosions (even though we still dont get dual wield weapons / glaives) is pretty good flavor text for ST and AOE. Much better tree than pack leader, which is just AFK pet go BRRRR.

@@borjabyp accurate, been playing SV melee since it's release and nothing makes me angrier than the devs forgetting that mongoose bite is our core ability, not the bombs. Let our mongoose bites do a lot of cool things - atleast with sentinel they do arcane stuff for extra DMG lol
That's on you man, they told us from the start what hero talents would be and you still somehow convinced yourself dualweilding glaives was gonna be a possibility
its funny you say that like but even in current wow warlocks have a better average than mage do and pre ICC no one played fire mages, then into cata it was rubbish again, all in mop, demo and affliction top 3 dps
I'm minorly annoyed that both sentinel and pack leader synergize with CA but not spearhead. Feels like spearhead will get pushed aside in all content in favor of CA.
Boring talents. But correction for you on capstone for MM. Its not 50% its more since rapid fire gets reduced and reset by other abilities. More like 75% and during trueshot its 100% and even over lapping
Please bring back lone Wolf for survival so I don't have to deal with being a mediocre version of kill command spam beast master. Make it so they can dual wield and use their abilities still. Why are they limited to only two handed weapons for almost all of their abilities on survival tree
That “eyes closed” lasting only 8 secs is trash horrible make it the whole CA cd which is 20 secs itll boost survs aoe burst and single target burst which they are lacking their burst isnt huge! Compared to other specs
Whats your opinion here Azor? Suppose the numbers on both dark ranger and sentinel are competitive, do either of the hero talent trees help hunter get a spot in higher keys? I'm getting the feeling that sentinel will really help cover the main weakness of being one shot, and despite common sentiment, I think hunter has passable utility in lust, tranq shot, binding shot etc. Also, let's say Sentinel is competitive, would you be picking MM or SV, and why?
Dark Ranger's defensive talent "Smoke Screen" is insanely powerful, so in any case where the damage is close, you'd go Dark Ranger. Lust and Tranq are not particularly unique (or useful, really). Binding Shot is basically non-utility for Mythic+ since they destroyed it going into Dragonflight. I play whatever spec is optimal for the content I do, biasing towards Ranged if they are equal (since that's my primary role in my guild).

Was just wondering if hunter could be brought in as a phys damage lust, especially with WW rework looking pretty good, maybe there would be an alternative to the caster meta. At the moment, Equinox (the Brewmaster guy) would rather take two rogues and no lust to high keys, just because hunters can't tank rot or damage that can't be FD'd Seems with current wording on the dark ranger tree, it would be BM/MM would be the go to, and sentiment seems to favour BM
@@ALC0LITE There is 0 way to predict the War Within M+ meta. If WW/Warrior is meta, it'll help Hunter a bit more than, say, Mage, but the question still remains of why you'd pick a Hunter over literally anything that does similar damage to it. The only way for Hunter to be meta is to do VASTLY more damage than competing options and the odds of that are just microscopic.
@@Azortharion Yeah I agree, purely interested in speculation at the moment. But let's say you held mage/devoker/augvoker/shaman etc. damage and DR constant, I would assume Mystic Touch would arguably be the reason to bring a hunter over the other specs with lust.
It would really help with nodes that lower the cooldown on our burst cooldowns if our cooldowns did more than 1 or 2% more than picking no cooldowns at all. It would also help if Spearhead was considered when deciding which cooldown to have CDR on. Just rework Spearhead and Coordinated Assault already or get rid of them and give us some good 45-second abilities like Enhance Shaman.
i looks pretty cool, not a game changer but at least it makes some good things for Hunter, it would be nice to have some new animations, idc it dosent make me excitted to play hunter (my main) as it did with Horseman DK talents. Idk i hope we get some changes, there are still time for it, getting some Mark of the hunter rework would be cool, and having some control over Lunar storm.
giving the capstone 0.5sec charge/1sec not triggered would be amasing, especialy if in the talent that resets rapid fire becomes the go to due to tuning and other factors
@@Azortharion whats the average reduction we get on live currently with calling the shots? Havent used that talent since unerring is better. Particularly in m+, it would be great to be able to burst every ~1min
Now I hate it even more, that sentinel is not on MB and make the sentinel own scale with pet dmg. Visualy, the sentinel owl wild spirits trigger on the final talent, feels more BM than both pack leader and dark ranger together...
