Wildebeest Great Speed and Awesome Migration! 

Wildebeests, also known as gnus are bovids that constitute the genus Connochaetes, they are native only Africa, there are three extant species of wildebeest: the White-Bearded Wildebeest (Connochaetes albojubatus), the Blue Wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus), and the Black Wildebeest (Connochaetes gnou), the white-bearded wildebeest has two recognized subspecies: the Western White-Bearded Wildebeest (Connochaetes albojubatus mearnsi) and the Eastern White-Bearded Wildebeest (Connochaetes albojubatus albojubatus), the blue wildebeest has three recognized subspecies: the Nyasaland Wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus johnstoni), the Cookson's Wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus cooksoni), and the Brindled Wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus taurinus), and the black wildebeest has two recognized extant subspecies: the Zimbabwean Wildebeest (Connochaetes gnou zimbabwensis) and the Cape Wildebeest (Connochaetes gnou gnou).
