Neckline ruffle: I've made fiver versions of this dress - love it. The neckline ruffle moved around so much that I tacked it down in several places around the neckline. Thank you for a beautiful pattern.

Thankyou so much for the sew alongs I love them, Friday pattern company is absolutely my favourite pattern company now, I am 5 foot six and half and so far have made five sage brush tops and four wilder gown tops and will make many more of both because for the first time I haven’t had to make any alterations and can make them up straight from the packet which is heaven to me. How do you finish the gathering stitch tiers on the inside once they are sewn on? Serging? Zigzag? And if zigzag, do you trim it down after? I’m new to this so, I need all the steps. 😬
You finish them the same way you have been finishing your other seams so in this dress I serged them. If you are zig zagging and you want to trim them down, I would do it before you zig zag!
