In this video, Sebastyan heads back into the mountains of Pennsylvania to do some fly fishing on a wilderness trout stream which is designated so by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. To receive this designation the stream is remote, natural and in a unspoiled environment. It also has all of the quality's to naturally reproduce wild trout. On this adventure Sebastyan enjoys catching some of the most beautiful color native brook trout he has ever had the opportunity at. We hope you enjoy the video and we provided a link below for you to search for wilderness and class A streams in your area.

Nice job. Just got back from brookie streams in NE Pa and caught the biggest brookie of my life twice in the same hole. Couldn’t manage to keep him on (barbless hook) and changed flies to see if he’d come back. Got him on the bank and took a better look at him the second time but he popped off too quick and flopped bank into his home. They will humble you for sure!

Yeah, I was using barbless as well so I know your pain. Still an amazing day on the water from the sounds of it though! Thanks for watching!!

Nice video. Question for you, what did you use for ticks?
@alleghenyorigins
@alleghenyorigins Год назад
I didn't use anything on this trip. Walked out with zero on me so I'll take that as a success! Permethrin seems to be everybody's go-to for tick prevention though, I haven't personally tried it yet but heard good things.

Love that stream, just started fishing it last year and have seen some tanks of natives above and below the dam. A club stocks below which makes me angry bcs of the natives. I've only caught one brown out of it and it was wild too, shouldn't even be in there.

Yeah, it's definitely on the list for a revisit here in the future. To go after some of those with size up above. As far as below we have caught brooks, browns, and rainbows. It's unfortunate but it seems like the natives are still holding relatively strong. Thanks for watching btw!

@@alleghenyorigins I don't think the rainbows hurt the brooks as much as browns. I will say the wild brown I caught was maybe the prettiest I've ever caught. I'd even argue the bottom section has more natives with size than the top, or maybe I went above on a bad day.

Yeah, I agree browns seem to a more damage from what I have read at least. Also, I just know that the first brook I hooked up above at the beginning of the video was by far the biggest I've ever had on my line. It gives me the itch to bike back again!

@@alleghenyorigins since i know not many people now about it, I'm not kidding, I saw a 14 inch brookie right below the dam last year. And I had a 12 incher sip a caddis this year and when I set the hook I missed it. It was so cool to see him come up so slowly and sip.

That's wild! Both would be a once-in-a-lifetime brookie for PA!
