While driving, I noticed some goats crossing a little stream on the edge of a mountain. Right after watching the sheep jump across, I saw an old wooden walking bridge. I thought, ‘Anything a goat can do, I can do better,’ and that’s how we decided to see if we could cross the bridge.
We had no idea if this broken, old pedestrian wooden bridge could handle the weight of a Land Rover Defender. With no locals around to reassure us, the only clue was the cow dung on the bridge-it could at least support cows. This was, without a doubt, the scariest and the most dangerous thing I’ve ever done. The bridge had holes, broken and missing planks, and every chance that a tire could go through or the entire structure could collapse. I still can’t believe the car made it across.
