I went on a 6-day trip to Tesoro Escondido Reserve, Ecuador, to photograph wildlife and landscapes, as well as enjoy the beautiful Chocó rainforest. Tesoro Escondido is like my second home, so spent time with some dear friends. I'm also providing the reserve with photos of wildlife that they can later use for field guides.

✦ ABOUT TESORO ESCONDIDO RESERVE AND THE CHOCÓ REGION
Tesoro Escondido (IG: @tesoro_reserve) is a 2,000-hectare reserve located in the highly biodiverse Chocó lowland rainforest. It's home to one of the last healthy populations of Ecuadorian brown-headed spider monkeys as well as other endangered species like the Harpy Eagle, the jaguar, and many species of amphibians.
Unfortunately, over 60% of the lowland Chocó has been wiped out by deforestation. There is hope, though, since several protected areas like Tesoro Escondido have been created (and are still being created) to protect this unique rainforest.
