I recently installed a WildTop Truck Cap on my 2023 Ford F-150 SuperCrew (5.5ft bed). The instruction sheet was hard to read so I made this video to show how the frame looks when it is assembled. I hope this is helpful to someone!
On the sides and above the tailgate, does it flap at all and rub directly on the paint of the truck when you’re driving I’m looking to purchase one and I don’t really want to scratch up the sides of the truck. And are you able to drive down the road with the window rolled up? Appreciate the response.
Mine doesn't scratch the paint while driving. They include 4 clear protector stickers for the zipper pulls. I put those on and never looked back. It's pretty tight when you get it all zipped up so it doesn't really flap at all. I hope that helps!
@@DakotaKeefe - Yes, I just drove 100 miles today on the interstate with the rear window panel rolled up and it didn't budge. The velcro on the back/sides of the support posts keeps it locked down. I went with the dual window option so I can only speak to that option. I can roll both end panels up (ie- all 4 sides will roll up out of the way).
It's pretty tough- I can't image why you wouldn't be able to. I would imagine that it would function like a soft top on a convertible going through a car wash.
hey, I just got my WildTop. plan to install this week. have you mounted anything, awning and solar panels? since the ladder rack isn’t T-track i’m trying to figure out the best way. also, I plan to construct a bug screen. have you done anything like that?
