I'm 74 from Newark NJ and I've been coming here since the mid 1960's. Nothing like it! The beach sand is a soft gray! A 5 minute walk from the boardwalk to the water! Beach is HUGE! 2 mile boardwalk is the best 😂😅 !! " Watch the tram car please " !!❤😂
When we conr down to the WildWoods we go to the Hot Spot for breakfast & then to Jumbo's for pizza & to Capt. JACK'S for dinner & drinks. My son & his gf go to the arcades & I have 2 shops i go to. Seashels & the Christmas Shop. Also curly fries & lemonade. Finish up with Kohrs ice cream & orange sherbet. ❤😊!!!!
This is one of the few places I actually enjoyed when I lived in New Jersey. (All of the boardwalks, really.) I've visited them all since I was a toddler, they're truly nostalgic. I'm glad I moved out of state though and luckily enough there's islands and boardwalks across northern Ohio, some of them just a ferry ride away from town! I think I'd enjoy New Jersey more if I lived closer to the boardwalk and beaches like I do now in Ohio lol
.....wildwood-nj was mt first beachfront experience @ 5 yrs of age in 1950;... never forgot the other world exileration presented by the beach/boardwalk! You might say : wildwood was my first love!
I miss going to Wildwood Crest. Every summer we would go there for like 2 to 3 weeks the end of August just before school started when I was little I enjoy going in the pool swimming in the ocean going to the bar log riding my bike it was a totally different world that was in 1996 to year 1977 thank you I enjoyed your video.
You’re welcome. We have so many memories there as well you gotta love Wildwood to bring you right back to your childhood! Thanks for your view and comments if you have subscribed yet, we could really use the subscription. Thanks.
Of course all the fun is on the boardwalk, but there is such a serenity to Wildwood Crest in the early hours of the day. it's unbelievable, almost eerie, really, and it's apparently only become more like that since I last went there a decade ago. But still, it's an interesting atmosphere. You did a good job capturing it.
Brings back memories after high school prom renting out entire hotels for the weekend. Some kid from my school was wasted and tried climbing the Ferris wheel while it was operating. After that he got punched in the face by a game operator on the boardwalk. Good times
that splash pad is really good after a nice game of hoops or biking all day and unlike seaside heights wildwood beaches are free I hate seaside heights..I remember when Ed's arcade was variety arcade..The Dracula Castle would probably still be standing today if it wasn't for kids it was burnt not ripped down..
FYI, they didn't tear down the Castle Dracula haunted house. Teens broke in and burned it down back in Jan 2002. The spot was empty for years until they built the water park.
Crusader is my all time favorite but I haven’t been able to book it the last few summers. This year we’re staying at the Shalimar and I hope it’s good! The Golden Crest was disappointing
52:18 The arcade opens at night. The front part that is on the boardwalk is the entrance to the boardwalk mall with a bunch of shops inside that were likely open.
Vacay-J, there are 5 Cape May County resort towns with boardwalks (or promenades). Ocean City has the longest at 2.45 miles. Wildwood is second at 1.87 miles. Each has a unique personality.
