Let us all remember it was intended that Mark/Michael Urie was meant to be a one-off guest star. The intention was that it would be a running gag that Wilhelmina would always have new assistants she quickly fires. Vanessa & Michael’s chemistry is why we got this dynamic duo throughout the show.
OMG! Marc and Wilhelmina !!! I started watching UB because of Daniel, continued because of Gio but through it all the characters that consistently kept me watching were WilhelMEANa and go-big-or-go-home sidekick Marc! (+Amanda... don't forget Amanda) I miss them !! will we ever get a sequel of this show? we need this!!!
I mean American television has different nuances compared to Latin American soap operas; I would argue this Betty is less pathetic given that she’s not just pining for her boss, it’s a very over used cliché in telenovelas
This is a completely different show , not a knock off at all . Just took the original as inspirations . The true knock offs were the multiple Latin American copies which were a disgrace and embarrassing, I think mosty from cringy Mexico
@benjaminacuna8013 I get having different nuances and takes, but this is just a complete reinvention, and not for the better. Its like taking Ellen Ripley and putting her in a show with Alf. It can be fun on its own, but compare it to the real thing and it just falls apart. Part of what makes Betty such as a strong character is how she was able to surpass all the horrible shit she was put through along with forgiving herself for everything she was guilty of. There was so much potential in telling this story to an english speaking audience with its own takes and nuances. Again, this show was mocked in Columbia for good reason.
@@VideosOfRandomContext HAHAHAH you must meet my fellow students, who all legacy kids their parents 1000 times more evil then Wilhelmina, at least she is working to make her living
They truly made that show. I kinda wish her character would have moved to wisteria lane. I believe she would have ate those ladies up. I miss this show 😩😩.
It's funny you said that, because she ended up being a regular on the later seasons of Desperate Housewives, you can search it up on RU-vid or watch the seasons on Hulu too. Her character def had a Wilhemina channeling about her.
