Mate - you're a life saver!! I bought the same inverter for the same reason but also could not work out why my Nespresso mini would not work - AND could find no other help anywhere. Until I found your video. Now with thicker wires and a 150Amp fuse - it works perfectly. Thanks heaps.
@@kontiii My initial problem was with the guage of the wire. The wires I got with the inverter were too thin (can't remember what guage it was), so I went to Jaycar and got thicker wires and put the inverter as close to the battery as I could. I am also using two batteries in parallel AND a 150 AMP fuse between the battery and the inverter. Seems to work fine now.
Good setup mate, I wired in a the kings inverter 1500 watt to our caravan for the same reason . Running a Nespresso pod machine and charging drone batteries . Been in there for a few trips now and can’t fault the inverter. I did double the size of the cable that came with it though and wired in a manual reset circuit breaker just to be safe. For a kings product and the price I reckon it’s good value. Loved the Moreton video ,spent a lot of time over there in the late 80’s and early 90’s , surfed north point in a couple of cyclone swells and that joint fires. Great vids and camera work and the troopy is sweeet. 🤙
Thanks so much mate! Just got back from a week away and used it every day. It was so convenient and quick to use to make coffees and also made hot chocolates for the kids. Really happy with the purchase!
Yeah can’t beat a couple of good coffees first up .Never been a fan of cheap Chinese made electric’s but for the money it’s good value. I’m using the Air 2 also , it would be great to get some tips for the camera settings you use and some editing tips and software you are using. I must say you have got big cahonies going out on the eastern side of Moreton by your self. I would be peaking . 🤙
@@Toots-Wacko-fishing yep I’m exactly the same mate! Thats a great idea about the drone and editing tips, I can definitely make a video on those things! Leave it with me mate! Thanks for taking the time to reach out

I installed the exact inverter in my setup mate, for this exact purpose. 70 amps is great to see, id assume your battery would be around 13.5, so around 1000watts. Thats great to see
Great video.... did you increase the gauge of the wiring? I think the supplied stuff is 6 Gauge which isn't rated for 125 Amps? Not an expert but doesn't that mean your circuit breaker isn't doing anything?
IF you have a big enough battery, fully charged, with wiring that minimises voltage drop and resistance, you can run an inverter to its limit, but if you tried that with a 100ah battery, or a 150ah battery at 80% it would shut off. That's what happened to me when trying to run a 1400w air fryer. A call to 4x4 Superstore cleared it up. To run appliance rated at more that 80% of the inverter's capacity requires a BIG power bank to push the required current through.
Honestly I can’t remember mate, this was so long ago. It’s all still running really well but. I’ve used it heaps of times when away, sometimes making 4+ coffees in a row and haven’t had any issues. So has been money well spent
No worries mate!! I’ve never tested it to the limit, but I reckon I’ve done around 6 over the space of an hour before and the battery coped fine. Obviously different size batteries will cope different but the 150 amp lithium I have seems to do it pretty easily
I have a different brand 1500W inverter that I am trying to use to run a 1310W Nespresso pod machine but can't even get past the pre-heat step that precedes the pump starting before the inverter turns off (over-power shutdown). Your machine seemed to start pumping immediately with no pre-heat step - is that correct?
Hey mate, it definitely has a little bit of a pause before it starts pumping out the hot water. It seems slower than when plugged into 240v, but still works well. Yet to still have any issues with it, so super happy
Hi Thanks for the video ,spurred me to do the same . I tested mine last night ,by any chance does your inverter beep while the coffee machine is working?
No worries at all mate! Mine is still going well. I haven’t had any beeping from the coffee machine sorry mate. Are you running the same inverter and machine?
Its the inverter that’s beeping same inverter 1500 kings but an older Aldi coffee machine . Maybe it’s a warning sound be close to max on inverter just no mention in instructions
@@davidm1609 now that I think of it, I think I had a similar noise when I was testing out running a 2000w induction cooker on it (not running it at full power). It must be a warning about the max power. Surprising it’s doing it with the coffee machine but
Think I know what the beeping is , looks like if the battery is struggling to keep up with the draw , looked to be under 11 volts it started to make a beeping noise . When I changed to a much larger battery it didn’t make the sound
What’s the bms on your battery? In theory that machine should draw like 122a so bms should be higher than that to avoid damage to battery or shutting down but theory isn’t always reality
@@TheDingdong78 that sucks mate. Maybe the 175 deep cycle can’t pump out enough amps fast to run it? That’s my only idea… I know with lithium battery’s there’s different max discharge rates
The draw was 72 amps you say 🤔 So I'm guessing 3 mins of coffee making = 3.6 amps all up yeah ? 72amps draw ÷ 60 mins = 1.2 amps x 3 mins = 3.6 amps used
I reckon you would be pretty spot on mate, It seems to use a few % of my battery (150AH) after making a few coffees. I’ve used it a lot now when I’m away, and overall really happy.
