Call me stupid.. I don't care... I really hate the front office and how they've handled everything for the last 5 years. With Boone and Cashman, I don't see how doing the same thing will produce a different result and I don't want Judge wasting his prime without a championship. Judge leaving would be disastrous for the organization and maybe then, we'll get some new faces in the FO. I love him and I hate this current Yankee team. Sorry, not sorry.

I'm with ya, but I don't think his presence in NY matters as much. He's a game changer in that the Yankees win 100 games instead of 85 but is he worth 50 mil/year? I honestly don't think anyone is. Including Shohei.

Great show(as usual). I think you guys hit a lot of important points. The one issue that we need to consider is that while Rizzo did have a “bookend” season offensively, in my opinion, you don’t give up his glove and his leadership in the clubhouse. Also, your theory of bringing back Benintendi as the everyday left fielder and making Stanton our regular DH then moving Judge into that spot is genius. It justifies giving Judge the money and more importantly, the length of contract that he can’t pass up. It all makes so much sense. You guys are the first commentators that I’ve heard putting it like that. Great job. Thanks!

For that one lcs game where Peraza started, the kid put on a legitimate masterclass for how to play shortstop. If Boone was anything resembling a good manager, he would’ve kept him there and kept IKF on the bench/move IKF to third. Same dumbass decision like the field of dreams game where Holmes DOMINATED the white Sox for an inning and then Boone pulled him only for Chapped Ass to give up a walk off. If Boone sticks around, he needs an old school bench coach reading the human element and telling Boone to let his guys work when they’re in a groove.

Why want to trade one of the few players who can actually handle October on this team..? Stanton freaking put the team in a position to win in game one of the ALCS with his double, putting man on second and third with one out, however his protection was Donaldson and Carpenter, Carpenter being a guy who didn’t see MLB level pitching in 3 months before that series and had no place being there, he also showed up in game 4, overall he was one of our best players in October and has been one of the few who who actually shows up in October, his regular seasons leave a lot to be desired I agree but he isn’t a big problem, if the Yankees will skip on big free agents because they are paying him then they should just stop being cheap or fire Cashman for his bad decision making.

I give it a 60-40 chance that he DOESN'T return! The Giants will offer him 10 years for at least $350m. The Yankees will not offer him 10 years. They might offer him the same AAV, but Judge wants more than a 7 year deal so he can be secure and end his career on this contract. The Yankees aren't that team anymore with this management.

My 2 cents on what the team should do, prioritize re signing judge, the rotation I’m fine with Cole/Nester/Sevy, if Taillon will accept a team friendly deal then cool but we have German, montas and Schmidt plus I’m sure cashman can find a few good cheap end starters. Bullpen has a ton of good pieces but we need a closer, doubt we’ll be able to sign Diaz but I’m sure we can find someone, I wouldn’t resign chapman or Britton and maybe see if green will take a 2 year deal. Catcher I’d drop higashioka and roll with Trevino and Ben. I’d trade Gleybar while he still has value, drop Donaldson and have IKF/Peraza/Cabrera/Volpe battle it out for 3rd and short, then try to resign bennitendi but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was gone by the time we resign judge so maybe we get a cheap option like conforto?

Of course he will leave. One of the three California teams will offer him a boatload of money to enable him to play closer to home. He’s a Fresno grad and Cali boy. He’ll go home if the money is right. Anybody would. Nothing special about the Yankees. Not anymore. The Dodgers and the Giants are great teams. Either one of them would love to have Judge. He’ll go.

Like you guys said Judge needs to be matched or pay more but I do want him back. If we do I dont see us keeping Benni or another splash player. I really want Rizzo to stay to stay too. As a delusional fan I want Ohtani in left😂 I honestly dont know what we’ll do to get better if we sign Judge and I dont want Turner because we got a SS who hit 300 and played good in his position making pennies. Boone is the problem and I know he probably gets handed a paper from the analytics that tells him the line ups, but we need a manager who steps over the line a few times and tells the statistics team to wank off. I mean, we had 3 outs left to win the game and Boone put a rookie who barely played left field into that position🤦🏻‍♂️ i dont know if he forgets or what but that needs to change

People who complain about Boone seems to ignore the fact he can only play the guys he was given. If Boone was handed a team who strikes out a lot what else can he do but play them. If all Boone has on the bench are inexperienced players to put in place of guys who strike out a lot what else can he do. Cashman constructed the team, not Boone.

@@ItsJacobyay Why wasn’t Hicks in left ? Are you joking ? Aaron Hicks hadn’t even played well enough to earn a spot on the team let alone the post season roster. The on,y reason Hicks was on the bench is because that’s who Boone had to choose from. The same does for the bullpen…..they are the players Cashman made available to Boone. You can’t throw the same 2 or 3 guys over and over again Brian Cashman constructed this team and Boone could only play the hand he was dealt. Cashman made a few moves over the years that worked out well but massive obvious mistakes like acquiring the likes of Joey Gallo should tell you all you need to know. Gallo was a bum his entire MLB career, what made Cashman think this would change in New York. Bringing in useful players is the job of front office, if they provide guys like Gallo who isn’t even a MLB calibre hitter, the managers hands are tied.

@@MikeHart72 for that defensive play yes. Why wasnt Hicks at left. All the Yanks needed was 3 outs to win the game and boone put out the rookie with almost no left field experience. Hicks has the experience to make those catches and was going back to normal after that explosion in August. Also IKF at short. Bro literally lost a game for us and played horrible and Boone kept putting him in that position. IKF is a gold glove 3rd basemen who could’ve easily replaced JD. Not better defensively but serviceable enough to make up with his hitting. And Yanks acquired Gallo during his all star year. Every year but 2016 (25 ab) and 2020 he has hit above average OPS. He is the 3 true outcome guy and I dont like it but he wasnt a bad player till the pinstripes and fans got to him. Yes the Yankees dont have the best constructed team and that is Cash’s fault, but Boone doesnt know how to use his guys to their fullest either

It’s too hard to predict this but I can say I hope Judge comes back. But he needs post season help - it seems like Judge’s bat gets cold when there is a lot of pressure on him; he needs coaching help to overcome this.

With all due respect, if yoh guys think it'll take a 9th and/or 10th year to sign Judge and you still actually want the Yanks to extend to him that type of offer, then you're both crazy. Or hypocritical, since when AJ begins to suck and the Yankees still owe him $100+ million over multiple years, you'll surely be complaining and calling for the Yanks to spend more and fire whoever the GM happens to be. Hopefully Cashman, lest he heads 5 or 6 mi!es southeast.

One thing that I haven't heard much about Aaron Judge is the focus on the years. He is going to be 31, if he wants 10 years he most likely won't get it. So we are looking at 8 years at best {?}.

Aaron Judge will have to want to stay on the Yankees. Because the Dodgers and Giants will outbid the Yankees for him. Remember Judges wife will have a say too on where they live for the next 10 years or so. Plus, Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera were offered more money from the red sox but they both stayed Yankees. Luckily for the Yankees huh? Great channel!

It's not like Stanton doesn't get hurt when he doesn't play the outfield. His hamstrings gave out multiple times when he was the fulltime DH so they're better off playing him on defense to get their money's worth and some added production rather than be cautious and still get sidelined. Honestly they can keep Boone and Cashman for all I care but for the love of god they need to find someone or something to fix the injuries to their players. Every goddamn year multiple key pieces go down at the worst possible time.

If the Yankees had the ability to construct a team like the rays, they could pay the man 45 mil/year (or whatever he wants) and the rest of the team would be hidden talent of sorts. The point is they'd have 2 mega contracts Cole/judge, and a ton of mid to low tier salaries. I think they need that judge money to spend on 3 players. I know, they're the Yankees and money shouldn't matter but this is a different era.

The Yankees can get even with or surpass the Astors this off season. But Hal will never spend that kind of money. Also calling up the young guys and looking two seasons down the road is that you’ve wasted two more years of Judge (if he’s re signed) Cole will be diminished and Stanton will probably be broken down.
