I am currently pursuing MTech in IIT Kharagpur with specialisation in AI. The sad truth is there's hardly any step being taken in order to incorporate AI at the government level. Most of the engineers which get hired in PSUs or even in premier organisations like ISRO & DRDO, end up doing trivial non-technical works at the entry level. Even if someone gets to do their work in AI, the pace in govt organisations is too dilatory to cope up with the growth of AI. Also, most of the IIT/IISc grads refuse to work with the government due to low salary and slow growth. Solution: The government will have to introduce a ministry solely responsible for fields like AI and cyber security to start research labs like Amazon Labs, Microsoft Labs etc. The pay scale needs to be increased and perks needs to be offered in order to attract the best minds of the country. A corporate level infrastructure and speed needs to be there.

Hey, I have wondered the same thing, so I might be able to provide the reasons I found in search of the same, which are : 1) Firstly an OS takes years of experience and work to develop and mind you where the MS and IOS are today isn't instant they've been doing it for decades and if we decided to develop something It'll still take us a while for us to catch up. 2) As to why we haven't done it ? well most Indian tech companies aren't product based by which I mean the Huge companies like TCS or Infosys they are service based companies, so they actually provide services to foreign clients than to work on new tech or products like Open AI does. 3) India Severely lack in Research and Development department, and we just don't have systems in place to encourage the development of this kind of tech, we don't lack talent tho, just the systems, most people with opportunities either leave our country or struggle and suffer. Those are the reasons I've come across, I hope this helps :)

If you go through the china tech. they alwas make a copy of original products . Learn from past technology is tye first and only technic of development. And out tech side and knowledge is not that much less as comparison to 2016. If we go through the past development products then we can definitely creat our own. And now TCS is a product base also.

@@pratikkumarsahoo8348 yes they do that for sure and they've done that as a measure to stop foreign companies entering their ecosystem, which is very interesting. Yes we do have knowledge on the internet and it's more available, the thing is, very few of that is open source and even tho things like apps and ideas are easily reproduced by throwing money at it, developing an OS is much harder since big ones like windows and iOS source code is not public and only linux is.. Yes, we can build on which would still take quite the investment though, which haven't done so far.. even tho windows has existed since 1990s

And AI has a long way to go self aware, but in a populated country like india man power and laour plays a huge role, if AI takes their place, millions lose their jobs and in this competing world it becomes much difficult for any employee to take up jobs. What I can form my thoughts from this video is 1- ai is not a whole human being..it's a kinda thing specifically designed to perform and Excel in a particular job 2- ai is not dangerous until and unless any cruel want to use it for thier own purpose 3. 1950:- People would be jobless who cannot drive a car 2023:- Every driver will be jobless (autonomous car) So, 2023:- People would be replaced who cannot work with AI 2050:- AI replaced everybody.

Reminds me of a videogame called genshin impact. It had a very good plot on this. There was a tool called "Akasha terminal" developed by the sumeru scientist. It had all the answers a person could ask for. Slowly by slowly people stopped questioning Akasha. Which meant, if someone told them blatant lies through Akasha, the people would still believe that. Hope so we human's won't be like the future that game and you guys showed/told. 🙏

If all jobs are taken over by AI, it will result in widespread unemployment, leading to a lack of income for people. Consequently, their purchasing power will diminish, triggering a significant inflationary effect. The companies that replaced human employees with AI, and whose primary target market consists of humans, will face a critical challenge...how can they survive when humans have little to no money to spend? This poses a significant and pressing question for the future.

Hi! 😊 I'm currently working on my master's thesis about AI. 🤖 Through my research, I discovered that there are five stages of AI implementation in organizations. In my opinion, it's best to implement AI up to the third stage where the machine makes analyses and produces insights with human input, and humans make decisions using machine suggestions while considering all factors. 💡 The fourth stage, where the machine makes decisions within a human-governed framework and implements actions with human oversight, is also beneficial. However, it's important to note that some jobs may be affected by these changes. 👀
