It’s absolutely incredible how far Arsenal and Arteta have come and in such a short space of time. They’re up there with the creme de la creme of Europe and on the cusp of a semi final in their first year back after an absence of 6 years. Hope they can get a result in Germany to shut up all their critics but nevertheless they deserve a lot of credit. This over the top bigging up of English players has to stop!!

Yeah from 8th place to 2nd finish, a huge jump. Yea we spent over 200m but half of those money was on rice. And timber hasnt even played yet. Yet still they needed time to gel with the team. Rice slotted in perfectly. Just because you spend millions, doesnt guarantee u winning the league. Just ask chelsea fans.

Foden is a quality player no doubt but the way the English press goes about hyping up English players in the media amuses me a great deal. Others have to be twice as good to get similar praise. If you’re the best in the world at your position, surely the numbers will reflect it year on year. This is Foden’s best season & his numbers are not necessarily far away from other top performers.

obviously rodri is imperative, but the reason we can play without Foden is because of the sheer squad depth we have in the attack, we have Berni, Doku, Alvarez all of whom can slot into Phil's place depending if he's on the RW or playing as a CAM

Sherwood saying no player has asked him to have a rest. Sorry but did Tottenham get to every final for nearly 2 years running and play every international fixture too? Silly comparison to make. Rodri is playing over 70 games a season incl internationals and Sherwood’s Tottenham probably max played 50 games a season. 20 games makes a huge difference. Even 10 more games takes its toll on the body

Bayern’s only problem is against counter attack, without a good #6 in the middle they got exposed by teams playing counter. But not against Arsenal since Bayern is playing counter. So it is no surprise they played good. It Just a lot easier to play counter with so many world class offensive players. Remember Tuchel won with Chelsea playing counter. It is his specialty.

And Harold Kane- who should have been sent off for doing what he's done his entire career. Bayern will rest most their 11 this weekend since theyve given up on Bundesliga, and will focus on the one competition they can still win. Arsenal meanwhile will have to play some of their top players for Villa at the emirates since they're in the title race.

The new defender, Timber, got an ACL injury on the 1st day of the season and hasn't been seen since.
