Ayush, just as I had responded to another comment below, if you see it in the context of the video, I have implied that “poor academics” is any set of numbers that’s below what is required for you to get the job role that you want. For consulting, even a 9,8,8 could be a poor profile. And therefore, comes the purpose of the video that if you are in such a situation, what are the other outcomes that you can/should chase.

My profile is like: 10th 86.6%, 12th 96%, BCom (hons) 7.5 CGPA. Can I expect calls from top B schools whether IIMS or non-IIMS since I am not having a good score in my UG?

Juggernaut, if you do a micro analysis you will realize that different new IIMs have something unique in them. For example, my alma mater gets good Marketing/Sales, and now even Consulting (backend roles). Then, a B-school like IIM Trichy gets decent Finance roles (which aren't the same as Fin roles at IIM A,B,C). Similarly, Raipur has emerged well for Marketing/Sales. Everyone gets placements at some of these best B-schools. In fact, non-engineers like yourself will find it easier to get into marketing/sales roles.

Ujjwal, just thinking about the consulting roles may not be enough. Criteria differ from company to company. For example: you might make to consulting role of a boutique/niche consulting firm but acads might not be good for a consulting role at MBB firms. Research on the companies you want to get into :)

10th 56.6% aggregate in 6 subjects, 60.2% in top 5 .CBSE 12th 87% in TOP 4 subjects and 74% in all subjects aggrege. How companies calculate your % if you go for placements if they have 60% criteria will they reject me or accept by seeing my 10th marks and one please assist me😊
