We all know that CP3 should just run the second unit, but the fact that this question of "who's starting" has been a topic all summer tells me that GSW might have a rough season. Edit: Everybody is saying the media is to blame, but CP3 and Steve Kerr haven’t given any straightforward answers either so ..🤔 Edit 2: Kerr decided to bring CP3 off the bench and GSW is red-hot to start the season

Off the bench like a Kyle Lowry role for the Miami Heat this past season. He’ll be the leader on the second unit and we’ll be able to better manage his minutes to have him primed, healthy ready for the playoff push. He should play like 20-25mins a game during the season and at times more or less the same in the post season possibly more of matchups enable it and or team is jelling w/ CP3 or he’s playing too good thus requiring him to play more minutes. Have to have him healthy for the playoffs though top priority

Playing too *WELL, not GOOD. Elementary education. American system is failing 99% of you, who need LESS SPORTS/SOCIAL MEDIA, & MORE EDUCATION. Also, as the prior commenter stated: your incoherent comment MAKES NO SENSE. At times, he should play more or less the same minutes? At times? More or less? So he should definitely play some minutes at some point and earn his contract by playing minutes as a minute player? THEN it got worse. Possibly more of matchups? Enable it or team is gelling? (Not jelling). GELling as in GEL. That MAKES NO SENSE. PROOFREAD. CORRECT. OR DELETE. TOUGH LOVE is necessary. Soft people (might include YOU & your learning habits) are FAILING YOU. GET LEFT BEHIND. OR BE BETTER.

Depends on who they play each game, like for example against a team like the Bulls it probably won’t work as they have two big guards so won’t matchup well, but against someone like Cavs with two smaller guards you could start cp3

CP3 for Poole was a money move. Chris will be moved to another team where he's a better fit before the end of the season. Until then, he doesn't deserve to start over the established starters who have been there and won together
@bytgfdsw2

A big part of warriors struggle is that the bench offense was too fast and too unmethodical in the last season, leading to them bleeding the leads built up by the starters. Regardless if Chris Paul starts or not, he should play with the second unit a lot to preserve energy for the playoffs, and that’ll give the starters more time to rest

Wasn't his role. Doesn't mean he wasn't a threat. Looney at one point was considered a generational offensive talent... He didn't forget how to dribble pass and shoot. I remember working out with Rooks around my 3rd pro season and watching this guy knock down 80/100 3's from the top of the key fading out of the high pick and roll. If he'd have even thought about taking that shot in a game he'd have been on the bench before the ball got to the rim...

The win now or never Suns, with no starting PG on the roster, were about to release CP3 and eat his contract before they found a trade partner, and that trade partner also immediately shipped CP3 out of town. CP3 will be remembered as one of the greatest to play point guard, but father time clearly caught up with him, as it does to all players eventually, and you don't "recovery" from old age. CP3 should be able to provide the warriors great leadership, but unless your tanking, you don't want him on the floor anymore. He's lost a step on defense, can't hit even wide open 3s or his former bread and butter mid range shots, and while he still has good court vision, even his passes have lost their zip. That's before getting into the fact that his body just can not hold up (not that it ever could...). All that said, you could still do worse for your back up point guard. But starting him, that's laughable.

@@Todd-DaGod-Howard Only watched him with the Suns, I admit I haven't followed his career before he joined my team, but I did watch him during his Suns tenure. Because I hadn't watched him before that I was embarrassingly part of the group who was unhappy when they traded for him, thought he was washed, but he definitely still had plenty in the tank when he arrived, though his playoff availability was always suspect. There was some light decline here and there during his time here, but I didn't really feel like he significantly fell off until last season. By the end of last year the team legitimately looked as good or better with out him on the court, despite not having a starting caliber PG to take his place when he kept getting injured, due to all the age related issues he'd developed. No hard feelings with him, if he finds the fountain of youth and returns to form with the Warriors, I'll be happy and root for him (when he's not playing the suns) but if you didn't think he looked like a shell of himself last year, I question if YOU actually watched him play.

I think someone needs to play center for the Warriors. Steve Kerr just hates the rebounds i guess.

I was wondering why they didn't get Woods, or Hayes I been saying Hayes would have them straight like a younger McGee and the Lakers went and got both. 🤣🤣🤣 From nothing to everybody you can think of. 🤦🏽‍♂️ You know it's rigged

This is a dumb question, and it's not newsworthy. Chris Paul knows he's 38 years old, and he knows that he's backing up the greatest shooter ever, and he has always been the type of player who would sacrifice to win. It's not really a sacrifice to take a lesser role 18 years into your career, but inevitable.

Cp3 should be watching from the box as a retired player.

Either Klay or chris Paul. Either way both can be more effective in that spot

If Chris runs the second unit and they get Dwight Howard (hopefully). That 2nd will get more Minutes then they have previous years!. Then it will work!

That said, I thought adding Dwight and CP on the second unit made a ton of sense. Not this whole “starting” nonsense.

I propose a new rule to ESPN...Golden State & Lakers (especially Lakers) have to EARN their coverage. I was so sick of hearing about them everyday as if they were top 4 seeds. Lakers were barely a play-in team pre-deadline

I would argue that Dwight woulve been a better sign than chris Paul. Dwight would help this team more than Chris Paul
