Heat Transfer Source has some great cooling blocks that work amazing on the DTF transfers after pressing, & they work for HTV also. Just thought I’d share a tip.
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. As of right now, this is the ONLY video I have found with DTF on canvas. It's been rolling around in my head for a week now! Thank you guys!
I hate watching RU-vid videos that are hella long but I stayed and watched because your wife cracked me up 😂 Still perfect video with detail but she is to funny
I did this on flat canavs. Turned out good but I had a few spots where it came up when I peeled it. I had to increase the temp and pressure (I started at 290F pressure at 6) not sure why I had that issue but once I depressed it was fine. Also noticed in parts you can see some of the melted adhesive since the canvas board doesn’t absorb it the same as cotton garments. I used a heat press when doing this. I’m going to try regular canvas next. I almost wonder if the melted adhesive that you can see around mine is from the extra pressure. Good thing is it’s white/transparent, so you can’t see it too much.
Let me as you, or anyone reading... what canvas material is best for pressing DTF's on? When you buy rolls of canvas, you can get untreated/unprimed canvas, up to 3 layered primed canvas. Does the treated canvas hold better, worse, or the same as raw/untreated cotton canvas? Treated would just look better overall for a print, b/c the entire surface area looks covered in a thin coat of paint, compared to raw canvas that shows a lot of light through the gaps in the weave.
When is the UVDTF coming? Will you be selling inks? I’m currently doing DTF & was actually trying this tonight. My print is already done for my canvas before finding your video.
UVDTF has been out for weeks now. It and all other products are available on the website. If you have any questions before purchasing please feel free to email us at ordernow@flashcustomtransfers.com
We manufacture the transfers from our large warehouse. DTF inks are a water based eco friendly ink. The transfers are printed on a film from our large commercial printers. You can see those printers on this channel from our old warehouse. We have a lot of videos explaining our entire process, please take time and review all of our videos so you can be more familiar with what we do.
