At the EUROs, with what the Spain national team has with their 2 talented wingers in Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams is honestly the future of Barcelona. I don’t care how they do it, all I know is that Barcelona should be doing everything in their power to sign Williams this summer and under Hansi Flick, you need to have a good transfer window and build the team how you want it to be built meaning that you have to get the right players and sign ones who make sense for the system. Luis Diaz is an excellent player, but Williams has a higher ceiling than him and it’s the same thing with Dani Olmo, even though 27 is an age where players are in their prime, Barcelona can’t keep signing players who will only benefit the team in the short term because this is a long term project and it’s better to sign a guy who has proven experience in La Liga as he knows the league be well meaning that he won’t have any issues adapting to their system. He is the type of winger that they need because there were times last season where Barcelona’s attack particularly on the left was very stagnant and Yamal was the only one who was providing a creative spark and making things happen for them when they weren’t playing well and Nico is an ex factor for the team in that regard. We all know that he has a 50 million release clause in his contract at Athletic Bilbao. It’s true that you don’t want to judge the potential of a player solely off of an international tournament, La Liga fans know how good he is and there are many teams that are interested in signing him and are ready to activate his release clause. With how dominant performance for Spain against Italy at the EUROs, his price tag will continue to go up meaning that if his release clause isn’t activated, he’ll be very expensive. Barcelona are a team that has to be doing everything in their power to add him to their squad next season. We don’t want to focus on other teams, but Real Madrid has Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior in attack, Jude Bellingham alongside them and all 3 of those players are going into their prime and with the way that the Spain national team are set up and how they finally have 2 direct and skillful wingers, I don’t see how this is won’t work at club level because Yamal on the right wing and Williams on the left wing is literally the future of Barcelona and they can’t pass this opportunity up.
