I rushed out to look at the sky, thought pigs were flying as you gave a fairly positive review on a Begode wheel. Glad to see you can change your mind.
Welcome back Adam 😉 Excellent video. Those loose fuses are for the charger. They've been throwing them in the boxes for awhile now. And the Extreme costs the same as the Master in the States. Don't know why they are pricing them different where you live?
it genuinely blows my mind that begode put a smart bms on one of their wheels before leaperkim did. i really want to see a wheel with the begode extremes performance in a msp or rs shell (there would of course be no suspension though). just essentially a reasonably small performance wheel because we haven't had one of those since the original commander
Thanks so much for the shoutout!! Really appreciate that... so glad you enjoyed the review... feeling is mutual as we thoroughly enjoy your content!! Much love and welcome back Begode to the WW channel! XD
About begode app. Cautinary tale. Just a warning to every EX30 user. Story about how my EX30 bricked. So. I heard there is a new official firmware for EX30, with 2 modes to have fun with. Racing and offroad. So i installed official app, then installed this new firmware on my EX30. Now i can jump between 2 modes with a press of a button in the app, great. So i tested it. It was fine. The next day i went to 20km trip with offroad mode. Then i decided to go back with racing mode, just to see the difference. Well i pushed killswitch button on my EX30, put it on a kickstand. Here goes the official begode app. I push the racing mode button...wheel died. I cant turn it on. Nothing works. I tried to remove the batteries, nothing. Replaced them back on...nothing. Wheel does not respond. Seems like mosfets got killed. Thanks, begode.
@Trener_Artem begode owe you a new motherboard.. it's their fault it fried due to the new firmware and they are aware of it.. the latest update fixed this
My Patton is a month and a half / 900 miles old and I haven't had a single solitary hiccup, I honestly can't recommend it more. Begode needs to take a page from Leaperkim and make one or two really solid wheels a year instead of flooding the matket with crap.
I don't care how many wheels they throw together, but not guaranteeing the ability to get spare parts is a huge red flag. Would never buy a wheel that can't be repaired after a few years.
Lol.. the extreme build quality is BETTER than the patton with its all cnc metal design with better suspension and pedals and more durable and more stable with its 3" rim.. so the patton is crap and overpriced comparatively .. and the patton only has higher low end torque compared to the early extreme firmware.. it's already similar and likely better in the extreme in the latest firmware update and only getting better over the next few months of dialing it in (especially in offroad mode where the low end torque is higher)
@@justinspirational I'm going to venture to say that you don't own and/or have never ridden a Patton. No one I have ever talked to who has ridden or owned a Patton has said such a thing. The day I buy a first gen Begode wheel is the same day I let someone staple my face to the carpet, but go right ahead and be a fanboy if you like.. just wear a helmet
@CrossroadWater you sound like a leaperkim fanboy.. but everything I said is true but you're in denial that begode quality and durability is night and day compared to what it used to be and that the extreme still out performs the patton speed wise and is very comparable torque wise and only getting better with time with each and every firmware update.. I'll never get a leaperkim wheel so long as they are overpriced for what you get. Had zero issues with my first batch ex30 and not expecting any with my extreme.. begode knocked it out the park with both wheels.. and in truth I'm not a begode fanboy.. I'm a high performance fanboy (as the highest headroom before cutting out/ over torquing is safer imho) and it just so happens to always be begode wheels.. if it were another brand I'd get that but it isn't..(the inmotion v14 was promising but they're going to cap the top speed at only 43mph and looks like it's made of a lot of plastic and not very durable)..the patton is the very first wheel to compete torque wise but not in other categories (like speed, suspension, stability, durability, center of gravity, even build quality)
I am torn between upgrading my V12HT to a Patton, an Extreme or maybe an Adventure for the next European summer. I am patiently trying to hold off until they've all been thoroughly reviewed by people like yourself. I did ride a Patton off-road for a bit yesterday, which was heavenly. It was my first choice, but then all the other 16" wheels got announced and I thought I'd wait a little longer, plus the V12 isn't even a year old. But after trying it out I can't help but lean towards the Patton again, and the fact that Leaperkim tends to make fairly robust wheels. But still, patience. I look forward to hearing more from you about the Extreme, and then later the Adventure.
the patton has the most low end torque of any wheel right now but the build quality and design seem to kinda suck. if i get a new wheel it will be either the v14 or the extreme personally
@@VECTOR_Coasters I thought that on the whole the Patton was put together pretty well. I have seen one video where there was some rust on the motor, and another where some bolts weren't tightened properly, but I kinda got the idea that in general it was pretty solid. But I am in no hurry, my V12HT had some problems just before the warranty ran out, and basically, apart from the motor, its insides have been completely replaced and the odometer was set back to 0, making it almost as good as new. I will try and contain my urge to upgrade until after winter!
Big surprise from newer Begode wheels recently. Starting to love them so mutch that IAM thinking of buying one after my Sherman og... I love performance in Begode DNA
I keep thinking about default settings. You mentioned 70% instead of 80%. Perhaps you should push for a standard default out of box. Users can change it later if they want. But the default is what happens to the rider with out of box wheel.
I swear my begode rs started with slower beeps and then the beeps got faster the closer to cutout it gets (ie. better warning).. you sure this can't be changed with some settings in the begode app or even another app like euc world to do the same with the extreme? Thanks
How else were they to spell it, they were obliged to spell it the Wrong Way. Why you stopped reviewing Begode, they weren't throwing you off the way you liked, such as the v12 🙂 Kidding my Master didn't make a 100yds before it had to go back to the dealer - fine now, and I really like the wheel by the way, no really love that wheel. Chooch um well the less said the better perhaps. The "Master" plastic battery boxes perhaps, but after pads and handles etc they aren't the first thing to hit the deck. Shock pumps, I got something a bit more capable. Riding the beeps, if you ask more of the wheel than the battery, motor, board (firmware), can deal with there can be only one result. If you are going to ride this way, you really have to know the wheel and be aware of the subtleties such as you explained in your video. I wouldn't charge the Master at more than 9A, it would be the same for this for me at least. Really interested to see what you make of this wheel when you ride it.
Issue with bolt is that they apparently sent too short coils springs with not enough stroke so there's coil bind transferring all the force into the pin
My belief is that speakers are must have. I always ride with some music on so that others can hear that something is approaching. I hate those scooters who suddenly appear in total silence and fast speed near by when I'm walking on sidewalk. Actually that's what AVAS was introduced for.
Friends, I have a question. What wheel would you buy as your only wheel today? I've been wondering about this and have been following the topic for several days. I want to have a wheel that will both go fast and be able to jump on it on a motocross track because this is the sport I have been most interested in so far. I also like forest sections very much. I'm thinking about s22, Patton, Extreme, Commander Mini and the new Adventure (but I've collected the least information about this one). I weigh 95 kg without clothes. Thank you for your help.
The master is already discontinued? This has to stop.. why would anyone buy wheels for thousands, if there is no guarantee to be able to repair it after a few years? Stupid throw-away mentality.
@@privileguan9127 commander gt is the new master from what I've read and they are making big discounts for the master. But hey begode fanboys think they will cover the problems by throwing them money
The vent? You mean the valve stem of the innertube? If that's the case it will fail and you'll get a flat. Tire changing on that diameter rim is a pain in the ass too.
Good stuff! #wrongway you travelling to China, then a tour of some of those auc companies, hanging out with some of the engineers, or whoever is running the auc company.. maybe even riding with some of the employees (im sure some at least must ride), learning more about the chinese euc community and the local laws, or lack thereof? We would discover and learn! would take a bit of work to setup and cost a few train tickets but would make tons of great content for your channel!! Bit of a travel blog, everything fresh, authentic, plus maybe some preview of what they are currently on. I wonder how difficult it would be to connect with them on that level, maybe they are pretty friendly and might be open to that, they must be fairly small companies so i wouldn't be surprised, maybe have a beer with them 🍻 Maybe you have euc fans of the channel who live in the area that would be excited to hangout with you if you were to announce the trip ahead of time...
Depends on what you're after, but Inmotion uses a dual rating spring in their shock, which I'm thinking could saves riders from suffering a bent suspension rod as is the case with the Extreme. The suspension travel is nice, but I'm thinking the V14 just ... doesn't need it to be confortable/sturdy. As with many things EUC, patience is rewarded.
@RiddSann if I got the extreme, I would immediately replace whatever bargain bin begode shock is on there. Coming from MTB, I'd want something from fox or rockshox. Even if the inmotion coil is good, I'd probably end up replacing it, and an extra 45mm of travel is nothing to scoff at.
The question for non-offroad use is, how much shock travel is even needed and is the benefit greater than having a top heavy wheel and possibly more maintenance issues?
Nah adventure build looks cheaper and less durable (too much plastic) unlike the mostly all cnc metal highly durable extreme build..I love my Extreme.. couldn't be happier with it..I love to ride dirt the most and the extreme suspension is greatly appreciated.. the top speed of the Adventure will also be capped so still may end up slower than the extreme in actual practice..I added a new 190mm 1000 pound spring to the coil shock to make more use of the full extreme suspension travel and cover my 200 pound weight better (better than the stock shorter 900 pound spring that covers less of the suspension travel and not quite strong enough for my body weight)
@TheTriexy First off, it is mostly a snarky comment intended to be funny. Secondly, being racist is not a whoopsie kind of mistake/faux pas that happens. It shows a deeper ignorance and personality trait.
I've missed your reviews of Begode wheels, and I'm really looking forward to more content from you on the Extreme. Please change the side pads soon and update the firmware so that you can show us what this wheel is capable of. Please also test both riding modes (race mode and off-road mode). 🙏
Extreme will be the best agressive offroad Euc, the cut out from chooch it was his fault, he had less than 45% battery, but he must be the record holder for cut outs, and it's euc's fault, but a top video, thanks
Not his fault. He mentioned abnormal voltage sag which means one of the packs must have been faulty. That said, provided no defects come with the wheel it looks like the only other issue with the extreme is the flimsy suspension arm in the rear. Not bad fromBegode it seems they are improving.
@@nicksilver3757 1:39 the battery it was changing between 2 bars and 3 bars very fast before the pip, he knew from before that the battery was wearing out very fast, so he should have checked what the problem was before he ride the euc
I have been lurking for months...thought the Begode Extreme was my choice for my first electric vehicle of any kind, but at the last minute I decided on the Commander Mini, hope I made the "right" decision....should have it here in about a week, ordered from E-Wheels, really great people to work with!
The Commander Mini is more capable on streets & as commuter PEV, it has a higher top speed so you'll be safer keeping up with traffic once you're comfortable enough to get off the sidewalk; it'll give you more room to grow. The Extreme is more capable off-road on gnarly trails, b/c it has more suspension travel... but as you get comfortable going higher speeds, it won't have the overhead to keep you safe. As an EUC rider of 2+ years experience, I'd say you made the right decision.
Good/ reasonable decision if you ride streets only.. bad decision if you like to ride dirt.. extreme the better choice for that. That said when ridden sensibly the extreme easily exceeds 50mph as in Ronin's street test with actual live data to prove it (& he weighs 220 pounds)
It really *looks* promising, except I'm one of those that think the backlight/speaker is silly. The fact that it is not on par with a 50€ speaker makes it something I hope is replaceable.
Another great video! I’m 800 miles into my V13 and pre ordering the V14. Hope to see your review on it! Where can I get a Serg 9amp definitely smaller charger (with GX16 for my V13)?
