However, there are many, many ways to use the word, though we can boil them down to about 3 major ways: -There is "malignant" or "pathological" Narcissism, which Cersei definitely displays (Narcissistic Personality Disorder, NPD) -Then there is what Freud distinguished as "healthy" narcissism, which is essentially just a positive love of self, but without the negative pathological associations, as in it's not a problem or disorder like it is when we think of a Narcissist like Cersei. -Finally, there is the everyday, colloquial use of the term, which is perfectly legitimate but not a diagnosis, and gets thrown around often when we observe one or two traits associated with narcissists in a person and then apply the term casually to them. This is the way I consider it to have been used in this video. The trait itself can be applied to anybody, regardless of whether they're considered a full-blown Narcissist. Anyone with any disorder, whether mood or personality disorder, can have some from of narcissism as just one characteristic out of many, and even "normal" people can sometimes be seen as being narcissistic in some manner or other. Brienne and Jaime ain't gonna happen lol get over it! Gwendolyn Christie said it herself that she appreciates the fact that they didn't need to give her character a "love interest," just because she's a female, like SO many other shows do. And, by your, "Jaime can't die because it would be a waste of his character's redemption arc," logic, NOBODY should die. You may as well ask; "What is the point of having ANY character struggle and overcome adversity for more than seven seasons if they're just going to die?" You're right about one thing; It's very GRRM for our expectations to be subverted. But, because we've grown, over seven seasons, to expect our expectations to be subverted, wouldn't it be a subversion of our expectations to switch it all back, and end it all on a more, 'positive' note?

TWSTF 8 *gwendoline and you’re so wrong about Jaime and brienne lol, it’s pretty much confirmed I’ve read so much into this, I’ve done so much research everything about GRRM’s text, the scenes in the show etc when you spent time analysing the specific words GRRM uses, its clear that this was his intention from the start. George has made many references to the ‘beauty and the beast’ trope and how he loves it, which beautifully illustrates Jaime and brienne. Brienne absolutely does not NEED a love interest. Does that mean she should not have one just because she doesn’t ‘need’ one, of course not. Brienne yearns for love and has suffered horrific teasing and bullying because of this (linking back to the books again) and she loves Jaime (see 4x02) and having the ugly girl fall in love with the handsome man is GRRM all over. Also you’ve clearly not seen any of the recent interviews with Gwendoline and Nikolaj where they both indicate brienne and Jaime. And Jaime is the only character in asoiaf and GoT with the redemption arc on this scale. He started out as the adult character we hated most he then grew to be the best character (regardless of how likeable he is is irrelevant, he is the best character). Killing him off would be pointless and would erase any development, it would be meaningless. Killing off dany/Jon would not because they are targs and GRRM is anti targs. Killing of tyrion would not because he hasn’t had any character development he’s been the same (just more boring now) since s1. Jaime (and Sansa) and the only characters who’s deaths would just not make sense. Asoiaf/GoT is GRRM writing about his beliefs. Yes of course there are going to be deaths but what would be the point if there weren’t a few lives? It’s a certainty that not everyone will die, a lot will and that will be sad but some will survive. GRRM’s intention is to show an allegory of the real world where dragons are nukes etc so some will die. But not Jaime 😉

@NoseKey It's lame as hell. Pretty much everything about his death sucked. Not one white walker actually had a fight and it made no sense that the Night King would march into Winterfell during the battle rather than just waiting a day for his forces to finish off everyone other than Bran.

@NoseKey incredibly dumb tactics from both sides aside, my complaint is that it lasted one episode. If he needed to be assassinated, fine. But one episode? Lol that's lame af. This has been built up over the entire series. Magic, resurrection, even actual gods (if that's what rhllor really is) were involved. And his death was only for shock value and subverting expectation, which I'm fine with. Just not after one episode in one night. It seems the long night wasn't so long or dangerous afterall.

@NoseKey imo they got their story lines mixed up lol. Resolving Cersei shouldve been before the giant apocalyptic event that was made out like it was a threat to the entire world. Maybe they'll bring the Night King back somehow and make something more of it, but like you said there's only 3 episodes left, so I doubt it. At least we still get Cleganebowl. I hope.
