Liverpool should be challenging for the title. Kloop has already assembled a world class squad for them.According to this panel Liverpool has the world best full backs, best defender, best goalkeeper and great forwards why shouldn't they challenge.

Tell me you never played football without telling me you never played football. To even suggest that Mancini or Zola were nearly as good as Baggio was is hilarious.
I was born in '83 and even though I'm Arsenal I watched Serie A religiously because all my favourite players were there, AC Milan was my favourite team because of Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, Baresi etc. Roberto Baggio was one of my favourite players, I'll never forget when he hit the crossbar in the 94 world cup. The difference between Baggio, Mancini and Zola is negligible, each if them has their own strengths and weaknesses but overall they're at the genius level. Picking one over the other is just a difference in taste, like the difference between flavours of gelato. It's like that with all the very top players there's no real gap between them. If you had 22 of the best ever players and made them play a 11v11 you can be pretty sure the difference between them will be luck, that's why footballers are so superstitious. Sometimes the margins are so fine they don't even exist and all it takes it that bit of luck to win.
@@jc6087 Baggio was a top 10-5 player in the world for 5-6 years (1989-1994) and was the best player of his national side during the same period. He averaged a goal every two games as a starter both for club and country despite never playing as a striker. His highlights as a Fiorentina player by itself is better than career highlights for Zola and Mancini. Zola and Mancini on the other hand never became regulars for Italy because simply they were second tier stars. They couldn't deliver at the highest level. This is why no real European giant tried to sign them. You got to differentiate between a player who can be great against any type of opponent and one who can be great against particular opponents. Baggio was a genius; Zola and Mancini were very good players.
@@firas.alhamdani Top 10-5 player in the world? Are you crazy? So you watched some RU-vid compilations and what? Steve is trying to compare apples and oranges with following Klopp vis a vis Ferguson. Ferguson left Utd in a terrible state with a squad on its very last legs, while Klopp has left Arne with a vibrant competent team.
Well in the 4-3-3 they played 6 midfielders. Xavi busquests xabi iniesta fabregas and Silva. So only logical answer is yamal for Silva cuz Nico is not coming in for iniesta. Even though Silva is a legend he would be the one dropped if it ever came to that. He is not comparing him but rather just saying he is the only one who has a shout. It's not fair to compare yamal to Silva. He is 21 years younger than Silva and his career has just started. Understand the nuance my friend.
@@srinivassuresh466 you make a good point. I must admit, David Silva is among my favorites of all time, so I let my feelings influence my post a bit. Maybe it’s my bias, but I’d have hoped 2012 Silva being replaced by Yamal (at 16) would be as unthinkable as replacing Williams with Iniesta, as you said.
They made it further than Brazil in Copa America. They outplayed Uruguay and lost on penalties for 3rd place. No one predicted them to be in a semi final either.
@@elchapothedon4967 Yeah they beat Canada on penalties but on the day Canada were much better than they were. Also it still remains clear that Canada went further than Brazil. Clearly you also don't understand Shaka's power ranking. It's a ranking of the most impressive/surprise teams in a tournament. It doesn't mean they beat a specific team in that list. Why don't they say if Liverpool will win the League, as they used to say for Manchester United! such a double standard and stupid thing 😂 ESPN FC is a JOKE 😅
Who is "Kloop"? Alex Ferguson was there way longer and didn't have Man City to contend with either. Klopp racked up way more points in a season than Ferguson ever did. Klopp is actually a better manager than Ferguson, the league was far less competitive during Ferguson's heyday, plus he had all the refs in his pocket.

The word curry is a British invention for one. Most of India is vegetarian through the Hindu traditions. So meat with a gravy wasn’t a thing. Curry belongs to us brother if you are a Brit from Indian descent. That doesn’t mean India doesn’t have fantastic food probably better than ours in many dishes. But curry is ours. 😂
@ prakrit8284 I’ve heard something different as the origins of the word curry. Which is meant as having food in a (hurry) something that doesn’t take long to cook like a stew.
Pathetic that these pundits do not know how FIFA rankings come up. Its by points gained and lost during friendlies and tournaments. How do expect Belgium that couldn't make it out of round of 16 be above Brazil. They both lost.
The question of every season as if the top aim for the club is to finish in top four, answer is maybe but what certain is that City will win the PL next season!
Liverpool will be top 3 again this season easily..usual tripe pre season from the "experts"...they will make 2 /3 smart additions as always before window shuts and be right up there once season settles in..the new manager is a class act..
Baggio over everyone of them. Mancini was good but, yes, he didnt always produced. Hence always remain at Sampdoria. Almost an Italian version of Matt Le tisser. But if you remember Baggio from Juve days, hes in a different class.
You are talking nonsense. FSG has spent enough money for Liverpool to win every trophy out there in last 10 years. What the f**k are you talking about? There is no another team in England besides Man City who has won more trophies in last 10 years than Liverpool. You just like talking trash, don't you? Every transfer window is the same for Liverpool FC. They always act like they don’t want to spend on players then the fans start to complain about the club not having money to spend. Look at Aston Villa they making sure to spend on their squad so that can remain a competitive team!.. smh
It's always the same for these mid table teams, they seem to get up the table quickly and they look like they're very well run and then they fall off. Let's wait at least a couple seasons before making these statements about Villa.
@@gravityent9943 Y'all are delusional. The PL wastes billions on marginal improvements and interchangeable players. The proof is in the fact that the 4th in the table remained subtop level over the years.
It is far to premature to say as all teams are going to do a lot of buying and selling until August 30 at 11pm to be precise, when the transfer window closes, until then we can not make any realistic prediction on how certain teams will do so it is pointless speculating right now. If City remains largely intact, they should be favourites to win the Premier League again, realistically speaking.
Will the expectation and pressure be as strong on Slot as on Arteta? Nope!!! It’s a “transitional season” with someone who hasn’t coached a minute in England but Liverpool should be challenging for the League. Not saying or expecting they will it. As for top four, it should be City, Arsenal and Liverpool, not necessarily in that particular order. Chelsea and United should be more cohesive than last season but that’s not saying much. Newcastle? Nah. Aston Villa should be more nervous about them.
I support Liverpool and am not at all convinced by Slot or the new backroom staff. Made worse by the fact that the club are 'undecided' about whether to release footage of a behind closed doors game being played. Doesn't take a genius to know why. Either the club or Slot himself are scared about the reaction if it doesn't go well. Saying that though Chelsea also look to have an underwhelming manager, ETH has bombed in the league, so 3rd and 4th place are up for grabs.
Huh??? Slot hasn't even *met* like 75% of his most important players because they were at summer tournaments. Team haven't even played 1 friendly. Goodness gracious, give your head a wobble. 🥴
25 players used. First time out. Lots of juniors and fringe players. Personally, not reading much into this free pass. We will know more with the 3 games coming into focus.
@@Fobbie498 It was more the fact they didn't want the footage released, highlights have now gone up but there's no way that would have happened under Klopp. For the club to say they were undecided about showing the match just strikes me as Slot running scared. It normally goes pete tong after a long term winning manager leave Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger come to mind , so now Klopp has gone Slot has a lot to do
Liverpool can only finish in the top 4 if they sort out a defence that lets in the first goal in too many games! I don’t feel Slot has the tactical know how of Klopp. Klopp made the right substitutions to get Liverpool out the jam and win games. That’s the only way Liverpool can compete with City’s money and squad of 20 world class players.
Shaka's world 🌎 rankings do (at 3:38) are based more on recent performance than the official FIFA ones. I still think France should be higher on his rankings though because they would probably beat most teams he has above them. Also, Brazil 🇧🇷 would probably beat Switzerland and Canada for example. However, the FIFA world rankings are based on points acquired during the last couple of years (I'm not sure exactly how many years it goes back). This is why we still see Belgium high because they still qualify for tournaments. Italy must still be in the top 10 due to their Euro 2020 win.
As a Liverpool fan I doubt it. Once again we are being dominated in the transfer market by half a dozen clubs only this time we don’t have one of the best managers ever to make it work.
@@jimmelton5846 Of course e doesn't have Klopp's pull.
