Tommy McClelland is from Basile, Louisiana and was at McNeese before he was at Rice. So he's very familiar with LSU and Slade Nagle since Slade is from Lake Charles and played QB at McNeese.
Disagree with your comparison of practicing zone read, which is a scheme, to shooting 3-pointers, which requires repetition for muscle memory. If these guys can’t defend zone read by now without having to practice it, then we are royally screwed. I could see, however where they may have prepared to key on the RB rather than the QB and should have communicated the change sooner (note how Savion Jones crashed to the RB the first few runs vs how he stayed home late in the game).

In my opinion LSU either needs to move on from Brad Davis or find a coach for the inside guys because Davis has shown an inability to coach those guys up.
@I do believe that. Great coaching can accomplish things despite the talent or lack of experience. This line is veteran not counting Chester and they have struggle with simple run blocking assignments. These are SEC caliber athletes with 2 first round guards. They should be able to accomplish the simple things. That comes down to coaching. Jayden Daniels and recruiting are the reason he Still has his job.
