Best first dance ever. Also a nice bloke, humble, loves his family, gives massive credit to his professional partner - these are all big positives and vote winners, loved it!

For me, he was the revelation for tonight's opening show. He showed character, sex appeal and he was also on the beat. Looking forward to his journey! And yay for Nancy!

No words. He's magnetic, can't take my eyes off him, which is saying something considering it's the women your eyes are naturally drawn to.

Will is a showman and he lived up to my expectations! This is week 1 and he was entertaining, oozing confidence and you can tell he's really taking on board all of Nancy's input and feedback. I see him going very far!

He is a PERFORMER, firecracker of energy - Is he the best dancer technically, not too sure.....but that is what the journey is all about

I've been a fan of Will's for years and was so glad when he was named as a contestant this year. He's always good to watch and great fun when he's on panel shows. I was so hopeful and had an inkling he might prove to be good on Strictly and I was right as far as this first dance went, brilliant and certainly the dance of the night. I hope he does well in the series. I'll be routing for him certainly. Well done Will.

I give Will and Nancy an 8. What a firecracker that routine was! Knew you would be good, but honestly you are amazing. I loved this routine - full of energy, full of character, and your understanding of technique incredible. Yasssss!

Absolutely phenomenal for week one, such musicality! He hit every horn blast and accent, and actually looked like he was leading Nancy, especially in to the spin at 1:28. She didn't need his help (being a pro) , but it looks so much better when the lead actually leads!

Score: 8 I did not expect Will to come out with that at all! I mean, those kicks and flicks were amazing and he just went for it! He was so confident going out there and he smashed it! Finalist material surely

The way I was in SHOCK, when he started kicking?? Like where did that even come from?? I was NOT expecting that. But it’s such a good thing to get confidence in yourself in week 1

Best week 1 Jive I’ve EVER SEEN! They put in so much potential to make sure they got it right. And they definitely did! No mistakes were seen by me, and the dance was energetic and fun to watch. 10/10 from me ❤❤👍🥰

Score - *8/10* WOW WOW WOW!!! I know he looked pretty good from the launch show but I wasn't expecting that. Needs work on his lines and it lacked retraction but apart from that great energy and rhythm, fantastic spins, so much content, loads of solo work, lovely kicks and flicks. Will danced that amazingly, he really made the dance his own. His confidence and partnering of Nancy made for a really good first impression. Was half hoping he would have jumped off the Will letters xD. Looks like Nancy has another contender! 😁

Easily the best of the night, amazing energy and I think he's this year's dark horse!

Best Male first performance in years and performance of the night. The past 2 years will now have shown how they shouldn't have backbenched Nancy for a however long it was. 9/10

Loved seeing Will feel so confident and sexy, and having such a good time, a joy to watch! And soooo happy that last year's three first-time pros (including the spectacular Nancy here) all got partners again and all are shining again too!
