Thanks for all Matt and great content. I've been watching many say that things are falling apart, or are 1 or 2 items from falling apart, and I think the wall is built a little stronger than that. The funny thing is that earnings were great. Also, compared to last year, MU growth has been incredible and not stopping anytime soon. The 100% gain over 12m period is completely justified and could be even higher.
@adellantte3755 markets plays their usual game, no need to worry. This company will do 12b per quarter in 2025, you know who else does this? Broadcom, a 800b megacap.
Thanks Matt👍 As a newer trader, only trading SPY, it has been a bit of a “yawn fest” for a majority of the last several days. I am learning and actually find it quite entertaining to see the resilience of the buyers! Every time the sellers start to make an attempt at building a position, within an hour or two, the buyers run it up and over the sellers stop loss. Truly amazing! Someday bad Econ./labor news is actually going to be bad news for the market…perhaps that starts pre-market tomorrow?! We’ll see! Just wanted to say that I’ve gotten far more profitable recently thanks to a few changes. First watching your technical analysis. Then joining a discord voice channel where i can speak not type to other people about trade ideas. This helps me stay focused on the chart but also stay out of the market when it’s not my set up. Once I make money for the day on futures I move to a paper account. The less you do here on any one chart then more you make. Put the time in the setup not in the position. Time=risk. (Yes there are times where you want to sit in a trade but over trading WILL cut you to pieces when you are new)
Speaking over a mic is important because it keeps you from misunderstanding concepts/level/analysis and it keep most people from getting to heated for the most part.
Same goes for his QQQ analysis as the Q’s closed at the LOD in the a.h’s which is much more bearish esp when you look at the futures continue to sell off further
Hey Matt, Great content I think it's worth noting that over the past four decades, the month of June has never been the place where US stocks make their highs for the year. Do with that what you will. Cheers!
Hopefully tomorrow we break the range on Spy and something interesting comes along. Also, i wanted to ask as a new trader with small account, should i stick to trading SPY and QQQ or look at individual stocks too for daily trades. Any suggestions will be much appreciated Matt. This seems like the worst period. Even the market are now very unpredictable. Started investing recently when the market prices were a bit high,today I am more than 60% down!
I think today was a bear trap and I suspect markets will be up tomorrow on jobs and GDP, and further on Friday on PCE. I bought VRT into the close as there were large blocks of shares being bought into the close and as shorts closed positions. This stock has been dipping and ripping, ripping and dipping and it was in its dip phase today and should rip tomorrow. I also think MU is up tomorrow as has been the case with other stocks that have recently initially dipped on good earnings reports.
@TradeBrigade micron they didn't give a good guidance. They beat top and bottom line. So they sank. Meta sank 2 months ago, Salesforce sank a month ago, even nvidia sank in December based on guidance. They always recover, I'm down 69% on my call but I have until August. I'll be fine.
Matt’s not really showing in his chart analysis the true picture as the SPY fell after hours to 543.98 not 545.51 which was before the Micron a.h. selloff
Not sure what you mean by this... we never look at after hours until the morning. Sure MU pushed the AH lower, but the PM lifted it right back up. There was never an AH move to make a lower low below pDL.
