Wardlow reminds me so much of Bryan Clark, aka Wrath in WCW, aka Adam Bomb in WWF. Remember how over Wrath was in late 1998? He was so over, and fans wanted him to be the one who dethroned Goldberg. It was supposed to be Wrath vs Goldberg at Starrcade 1998 and Wrath was supposed to be world champion by the end of 1998. But Kevin Nash played his backstage politics and put a stop to Wrath. Anyway, Wrath was a big, athletic, great wrestler who moved like Wardlow does.

After watching this segment, I really do think that Wardlow should adopt the Awesome Bomb as one of his finishers. It would be a nice tribute to Mike Awesome. and who better to pay Homage to Mike than another Big, strong, athletic high-flying powerhouse like Wardlow, right? The Powerbomb symphony is a great Crowd spot for Wardlow during Squash Matches, But a move like the Awesome Bomb (Specifically the version that looks like a running Razor's Edge) in Wardlow's arsenal would be such a good dramatic Finish to his more hard-fought matches.

Im 35, i was 10 when i watched wcw/wwf and still my favorite wrestler is Goldberg, my childhood hero, and im pretty happy to see Wardlow because he gives me Goldberg vibe, he looks like a real gladiator as we had in the good old days (90s-2000s). Im pretty sure Wardlow will be the biggest AEW star, future world heavy weight champ.

Don't know all of the conditions that MJF will announce next week, but one of them will ban the Powerbomb. He banned the Paradigm Shift during his match against Jon Moxley. Either way, this feud is getting so much right. It's giving MJF nuclear heat by doing everything in his power to screw over Wardlow, even taking away his entrance music and handcuffing him before his matches start. All the while, the fans buy into Wardlow's plight and cheer him on more as he goes to great lengths to finally beat up his oppressive boss and be released from his contract. Doesn't matter who will win this match, as long as both of them are protected. Wardlow will probably advance in a singles run in the midcard to gain more steam, while Max will start racking W's to finally rise in the rankings to become the AEW World Champion.

Yes, probably the Powerbomb will be banned. This would be a good way to lead to a Part 2 feud with these guys when Max is World Champ and Wardlow is in line for the title. They'll have a lot to draw on for a match like that down the road.
