If a sprint athlete is competing right now forget the idea of the future. Bromell, Coleman, Akim, Oblique, Terrance Laird,Fanbootleg etc are fine examples whose potential seem to have hit the wall hard.👀
The way you talked about De Grasse like, " he knows exactly what to do on the big stage", and then put him last on predictions is just a violation 😂😂😂😂
That 7th vs 4th place take simply doesn't wash with me. Seville is in shape and has confidence plus talent to medal for sure. 7th would be very disappointing.
last time he talked about these predictions, De Grasse didn't even make the list. You see, De Grasse is not overhyped, is not young, is not providing tiktok content. He is a father of 3, he trains and competes without any social media hoopla. So, therefore, he is massively underestimated and overlooked by basically everyone.
Personally I want Kishane and Oblique 1-2, but only a fool would doubt Noah and say he won’t be on the podium + all the other runners are capable as well. All I know is that it will be very competitive! We will see
@@seensay2132 I know you can read when I said personally & also when I said only a fool would count out Noah, but I guess you want to brag, Congrats to Noah, well deserved! I hope you are happy. 😊
Jamaican here so Im rooting for the Jamaicans. However Noah Lyles is the greatest for the sport right now in terms of PR. I think he is deliberately and strategically talking stuff to get more attention to track which beefs up the pocket of all the athletes in the long term.
He reminds me of bolt a little bit obviously bolt is on a different level but I mean when was the last time in rounds we seen 9.82 9.84 and 9.77 remember 2008 bolts first olympics running the 100 if I remember he was running 9.8s like they were a walk in the park just like Thompson
To me the podium is open, all your top 9 could make the podium and it doesnt matter if you ran a very fast time in the past weeks, what matters is how these guys are gonna execute the race in the final. Because getting a gold medal or making the podium is not a fluke, you could be the fastest runner in that year but are you gonna execute the race to get that gold medal?
Sportsbooks think complete opposite of you. They have Kishane at +120 odds to gold (44% chance) and Noah at +140 odds to gold (40% chance). 3rd best odds is Oblique Seville at +600 (13% chance). 4th best odds at Letsile Tobogo at +1600 (4% chance). It's really just Kishane and Noah that will win Gold.
@@mikeguidry2577 I mean what about tokyo 2021, check the odds about marcell jacobs and then he won. So like i said, the podium is open, you have to execute the race and get that gold medal
I honestly don’t see why people automatically think kishane will take it. Is I because of his leading time because he barely if very wins international titles. Also if that’s the case shouldn’t we include omanyala as well? I feel like the odds aren’t automatically in his favour just because he did great at home, similar to Omanyala. Lyles might not automatically win either but the odds might favour him. Honestly speaking I don’t even see the winning time bing anything spectacular, dare I sa 9,90s or just a dip into the 80s
Am a Jamaican living in Canada. So it's obvious who I be routing for. Lol. However if I should be non bias and keep it real and everyone stays healthy my top picks for the podium would definitely be between NOAH, KISHANE and OBLIQUE, with Noah Lyles coming out on top. And although I would love for anyone of the Jamaicans to win you can't bet against Noah. Yes Noah talks alot, but this what makes it so exciting. Noah is extremely confident, he kinda reminds me of how confident Usain Bolt was. And almost always finds away to win in the most intense situation. The ability to remain calm in an intense situation is the key and not alot of athletes can do that. Everyone is in great shape physically, but are they mentally ready? Justin Gatlin in 2015 WC was the heavy favorite running multiple 9.7s. And in the end Usain Bolt end up wining. But we shall see. #paris2024 mens 100m final will be epic 🇺🇸 vs 🇯🇲 vs 🌎. 🙏🏿💪🏿🏃🏿🏃🏿♀️🙏🏿
I can bet against Noah. He's been winning because no one has been able to lower the time. Now the time gas been lowered by someone who shuts it down let him get past it. Remember jamaican, no f.raid a no body
1-Kishane 9.69 2.Oblique 9.77 3.Kenny 9.79 4. Noah 9.80 5. Akeem 9.81 6.Kurley 9.82 My reasons- Kishane is a pure sprinter. This is why he doesn't run the 200m. He is a Bolt where his speed kicks in at 40m. Noah speed kicks in at 60m which means everyone else will be at the line before him. Oblique beat Noah while looking at him, then Kishane beat Oblique while looking at him. Noah better be careful in the 200m because Knighton is still out there younger in age with an axe to grind.
His odds to gold on sports bets is +2800 (2 to 3% chance). Noah and Kishane are only ones with a realistic shot. Noah at +140 (40% chance) and Kishane at +120 (44% chance). Next closest is below 14% chance.
@@mikeguidry2577 don't consider wind or rain and false starts. They will do 3 races in 2 days and 2 races in 2 hours. in 2021 Bromell was the favorite, and the USA for the 4x100, well they didn't make the final and the Italians won both races.
Kishane is a thinker with a super talent supported by a running style that would scare anyone! It's like he is about to take wings and fly!!! I call him 'Superfly'...And that hairstyle!!....
1 and 2 are a ton closer than rest. Kishane odds are +120 (44% chance). Noad odds are +140 (40% chance). They are neck in neck in odds bets. That close of odds mean either could easily win.
@@Pothead888 As an American Id like to agree with you but Kishane and Noah are close with Kishane's odds slightly higher. Noah is +140 (40% chance). Kishane is +120 (44% chance). So every close odds. Oblique is way lower at +600 (13% chance).
I think your top 3 are probably right, but would love to see Fred or Kenny surprise everyone. Fred does have the best PB of everyone who qualified, and it will be a shame if he never returns to that level.
@@jayr6839 he certainly hasn’t looked the same since the injury he sustained at the end of 2022. Unfortunately sometimes it takes just 1 injury to erase an athlete’s potential forever.
Another thing is Oblique and Kishane are in rival training camps, The Glen Mills Usain Bolt camp VS The Steve Francis Asafa Powell camp. so not only are they competing for jamaica and themselves but also representing the rival camps.
hopefully he’s not another asafa lol. should make for a good final if all men are in form. still choosing noah. not listening to any of that “he was slowing down” nonsense because we’ve seen people jog 9.7 and then not break 9.9 when it mattered. noah has proven himself more than once.
I have kishane winning too by talent alone but the only way I see Noah Lyles beating kishane in the 100m is if Kishane goes out too fast in the early rounds and he's gassed by the finals but sticking with oblique servile with Gold then kishane.
@@DG-iu8ck9.8 is fine in the early rounds but if he runs 9.7 in the semis due to stacked competition and go all out he can be in trouble.... I'm rooting for oblique and kishane btw hopefully Andre degrasse comes in 3rd or something
Its funny seeing people leaving Lyles out of a medal and replacing the likes of tebogo or kenney....like when was yhe last time those two athletes performed better than Lyles in the 100?. They be forgetting Lyles is unbeaten in the 100m so far plus lowered is pr to 9.81, these people's prediction skills are horrible
Lyles isn’t unbeaten in the 100 this year he lost to Seville in Jamaica not that long ago. But he never lost to Tobago or the other guys people are putting over him
@@treygraphicsfte6747 He still came back and dropped a slightly faster PB than Seville's while facing headwind, he ran a 9.80 with a 3.0 tail wind in the trails and for him to come back and drop a 9.81 into a headwind is saying he's at least in 9.7 shape. My point still stands. Only 1 person has a faster season's best than him and that is Kishane. Kishane, Seville and Kenney are the only people that has showed they're a competitive chance to Noah. I'm repping the Jamaicans as I'm one myself but slouching on Noah despite his 2024 100m performance isn't really a good move
@@TheRealSwiperTheFoxTrack n field definitely not your cup of tea ,Junior. Oblique Seville clowned on your ,(your sprint king Noah in Jamaica just a few weeks ago.😂😂😂😂😂 And he has NEVER run 9. 7s in his entire track career .
@@DereckDean-yp7hh I'm Jamaican and repping the Jamaicans. Noah backed that up by running slightly faster than Seville's PB in that said race where Seville beat him and set a PB while facing headwind recently. So what's the valid argument about clowning in that? I'm no bias, credit should be giving where credit is due, he's never ran a 9.7 in his life but dropping a 9.80 with 3.0 tailwind at trials then dropping a 9.81 into a headwind is proof that he's capable of at least a 9.79
My prediction is the same as yours for the top 2 spots but I am hoping Simbine makes the podium so I have him in p3. He’s lost just 2x in the 100m this season and as you alluded he’s just run close to his PR at the London DL.
Lyles has to dig deep get a comfortable start be with the pack at 60 metres and his experience and top end speed he should win. Kishane with all the hype will have to proove himself with the rounds and with all the expectations of the Jamaican people and all the Lyles haters! Noah has risen to the occasion each time against men with better pb"s than him! I'm happy that Kishane has brought more drama to the 100 meter finals. Don't underestimate Kerley, Bednarek and Tebogo and Seville. The top three is coming from these men. Let's wait and see!
I think the 100m final will be fantastic. We will very likely see sub 9.80, maybe even the first three. With the current form and rivalry, we should expect some blistering run. My first three will include Kishane, Sevile, and Noah, not necessarily in that order
There's a lot of possibilities with this men's 100m. It's not as clear who will win or make the podium but I do want to throw some thoughts in: *Zharnel Hughes & Shericka Jackson entered last year's Worlds with the WL but didn't win the 100m Final, Sha'carri Richardson & Noah Lyles did with new WLs & PBs of 10.65 & 9.83. There have been many years before that the World Leader heading into the Worlds or Olympics doesn't win the Gold. So it's definitely a possibility that anyone including Lyles, Tebogo, Seville, Jacobs, Hughes or others could be beat Kishane Thompson and win the Gold with a faster time. It all depends on how the men run the rounds, the health and the weather conditions on the day. *Some people have made declarations that Noah might not or will not make the podium is a possibility but it's not a 100% definite. Given his consistency and improvements from the indoor to the main outdoor season now, it's going to be harder in my opinion for other runners to outrun Noah off the podium. He's been technically so sound for him not to. *Given the dramas, surprises and injuries that have picked up recently including at the Olympic Trials and throughout the season, I definitely believe that the 100m Worlds podium from last year of Noah, Zharnel and Letsile will not be replicated here. I definitely believe there will be at least 1 new person that will be on the podium this year at the Olympics. My personal predictions: 1. Noah 2. Kishane 3. Tebogo/Kenny
@TheWayWithKhuwayne shelly ann fraser pryce went to the olympic the first time at age 21 in 2008 and she won gold in that 100m noah will not win that race kishane 100% the winner
I honestly see Kerley or Kishane. I’m favoring Kerley more than I’m just “mainland” 😂. But oh boy been quietly running 9.7 and 9.8 no pressure. He long as Kishane I feel a little better up top but Kishane legs look like he speed skating! I don’t think people should overlook Omenyala in that heat that!! Man this may not be as legendary as that “fastest 100m ever”, but the overall competition is more incredible to me! So many possibilities!
After seeing that Lyles run in london yall should know Kishane ain't the favourite 9.81 into a headwind -0.3 ....Lyles is the favourite eventhough we hate the guy...
In this one-round event Lyle time is 9.80s wind adlusted this is completely different from running the rounds and not running hard to the finish doing 9.77s
I typically refrain from commenting as I prefer to listen and often find your insights valuable. However, I must address your recent assertion about relying on experience. Did you watch the 2008 Olympics, specifically the 100m races for both men and women? If so, you might recall that the winners, Shelly-Ann Fraser and Usain Bolt, were among the least experienced runners in their respective fields, having never competed in an Olympics before. Notably, many commentators had predicted victories for seasoned athletes, and they largely overlooked Shelly-Ann due to her inexperience and smaller stature compared to her competitors. Yet, she triumphed, defeating multiple Olympians and world championship winners. The commentators themselves expressed surprise at her victory, highlighting the unpredictability of the outcome. I will share the video link here to illustrate that relying solely on experience can lead to inaccurate analyses. I look forward to your next video and your thoughts on this matter. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WHMbE0ETRy4.html
These people don’t get it at all Noah Lyle’s ran 9.81 in London on -0.3 head wind so when we correct it to Normal wind of 0.0 it is 9.78-9.79 and Kuşhane Thomson 9.77 is +0.8 so I’m Normal wind it is 9.81 so if Noah run fully out he will beat kishane Thomsan
@Tjames33926 Kishane has also ran outside of Jamaica & didn't dip below 9.8 there. What's your point? In fact Kishane lost when he lined up with Noah.
you conveniently left out that Thompson took his foot off the gas with 30-20m from the finish line! whilst Lyles ran full out in all his races!.... why is that?
I support alot of people across different countries but as a Jamaican i automatically have to root for a Jamaican to win so either Kishane or Oblique for me. I definitely don’t think Noah is getting that Gold but hey I might be wrong because Noah likes and shows up the boys g stage and can handle pressure.
Why do people clown Marcelo Jacob’s Olympic gold? He ran 9.80. And best everyone else. That’s like the 3rd best time to win the Olympics after Bolt’s 9.69 and 9.63
No one clowns Jacob’s Olympic performance from Tokyo. It’s just the fact he has done very poorly backing that Tokyo performance up with more major to mid major sprinting performances. Just a fact.
@@shalashaska5851 I can understand that, but I hear a lot of “his Olympic gold was undeserved” etc. like I don’t see him ever being a medal threat again, but cmon give the guy credit for what he did
@pegleggreg3627 you’re not wrong. When Marcel won, a lot of Americans dismissed his win and complained that his time was so slow. The “fluke” talk started IMMEDIATELY. Even some commentators said the same thing. The simple fact is that when Usain abdicated the throne, neither the Americans or another Jamaican took advantage of the opportunity. Marcel did. I think the hate comes from the fact that the American sprinters felt entitled to the gold medal cuz Usain retired, but they couldn’t get the job done.
@@runwithyazdon’t forget all the unfounded doping accusations. Americans and British fans and commentators really unfairly tarnished his reputation because they were salty.
@@Elliottklassen The British press cast suspicion on Jacobs after the gold in the Italian 4x100 relay, the English had doping at home and they lost the silver.
Oblique seville is a talented athlete, however, he unleashes his beast only during the heats, however in the finals, it appears he wears out. I remember him beating the former champ fred kerley during budapest heats during the heats. At bronze medal i would position ken B he has demonstrated some consistency. Noah lyles is likely to grab the gold although he is not my favorite. His consistency is threatening and is something not to take for granted. His acceleration and top end speed is another big issue for any other contender. However, Thompson is also a threat regardless being new on the olympic tracks. The few results and execution of the few races are promising, I would not edge him out of the gold medal. The ease with which he showed who's the dzady against akani simbine and Tebogo is surprising. Tebogo and Simbine gap against Lyles is usually in inches, but the big gap in his past few races is a nightmare to the reigning champion. Lets sit back and see what happens
Nah The last Olympics Noah chocked. He's has to override that. Budapest does not count as far as been there. If it did there wouldn't be a reigning olympic champ and a world champ at the same time.
That was a great presentation and I think you have the top three correct but in the wrong order, I am a Jamaican and it may seem that I am bias, but I looked at all the factors and talent, consistency, and form have me choosing Kishane, Oblique, and Noah in that order. I could explain how the factors relate with each athlete, but I didn’t want to make my comment too long. In addition, any one of us could be right or wrong because we are talking about humans who are sometimes up and down.
Good prediction, you will be close even if it doesn't happen in the same order. If the winner time is between 9.65 to 9.78 I think Kishane will have better chances. If it is 9.79 to 9.87 then Noah/ Oblique. It depends on the track condition/weather and mental health.
there are four rounds of competition: heats, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals not sure about Kashiane 🇯🇲 consistency and I agree with Lyles getting Gold he is more consistent
Everything tebogo does is a win seing him despite having to take care of his younger siblings single handedley despite being 21 is crazy He is carrying africa cause okanyala never get’s it done big time and only running well in kenya type shit
The final is going to be stacked. Can never write off Noah but Kishane & Seville are faster plus from Fred to Tobogo, Akini, Kenny or even De grasse could keep him off the podium. Strong mindset alone can’t win this race. Them 2 Jamaican boyz are just faster.
Id say Kishane bcos of his 9.91 performance vs tebogo and lyles 9.81 performance vs tebogo. These 2 races which were close together in time space (2 weeks) are telling. Thompson beat tebogo by 0.08s whilst letting off the gas at 60 and cruising to a 9.91 win. Lyles had to claw his way to beat tebogo before he left him. He did beat him by a good 0.07s but he went all out in that race. The ease with which thompson put tebogo away vs lyles putting tebogo away was a bit shocking to me cos im a tebogo fan. I think the top 3 will be kishane then noah and maybe tebogo (hoping for something special). Tebogo has also proved to be a big game athlete. Idk how many 100m he got top 3 before championships last year pr if he even got any before medallung silver. He's definitely a threat. Just not sure if it'll be enough for this stacked roster
@keakusmall5706 Noah ran his race in London to dip below 9.8s that didn’t happen. Kishane wasn’t running too fast on that slow track in Europe when ran that 9.91 against Tebogo plus Kishane Thompson shut it down.. Noah Lyles ran through the line in London…
Look I’m an American, but Noah can no longer use an excuse that the 100 isn’t his primary race if he doesn’t win gold…and that’s solely because of the energy he puts out there. It’s Gold or nothing for both 100 and 200 for him.
People are overlooking the Africans. South Africans are in good form both Akani and Benjamin are going to make the finals and will upset many. Also the 4x100 will be won by THE SOUTH AFRICANS
Remember Jamaica and America will not meet until the final 💯 American men will be in the final also Jamaican will Canada Italy Africa any other Islanders is to be expected
Great analysis and picks but I think kishane is just faster than all of them and although he doesn’t have the championship experience his wild card is that he has the best coach Noah is 9.8 run I don’t see him running faster oblique can win but kishane is just too powerful.
Kishane and Oblique have more potential than Noah in the 100m, they both already have a good start which Noah has improved a lot, but Noah has been extremely consistent in the 9.8x improving his PB over and over, so unless the jamaicans get a perfect race I'd bet my money on Noah. In any case it definitely is going to be really close, especially taking into account the different strengths of each sprinter.
If Kishane has a good start !!! And acceleration to the maximum!! No won’t catch him. Noah usually come from behind and win!! Servile at the Grand Prize had a good start and Noah didn’t catch him.. Oblique needs to run through the line and don’t dip early like he did during the world championship 🌎
I have a funny feeling that this 100m will be the fastest ever. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone running 9.85 and still finish 6th or 7th! Yes, I expect a WR from Kishane, with Ackeem picking silver over Oblique, Lestile, Ferdinand, or Benjamin. Take that to the bank!
