I honestly love Will Ospreay's happiness and cheerful demeanor. It really is infectious. I can't help but to be excited whenever I see him. I'm totally a fan of his wrestling style, and now we get to see him "Unrestricted". Honestly, I love it 🥰
I didn't think anyone could ever take the "Ultimate Himbo" crown from Ibushi after Tanahashi had to show the man how to uncap a pen ... and Will's a strong contender. 😄
Watching Will Ospreay wrestle is like watching artistry in motion. He can do just about any style of wrestling. He is not a one trick pony. He wrestles with finesse, flair, and creative genius, but still plenty of power and force. He truly defines the word ELITE.
Wow this 48 minute interview just flew by being captivated and entertained by Will Ospreay’s stories and enthusiasm for wrestling. At a certain point recently I became a huge fan of him with the amazing work he’s put out with AEW- this man is going to do more amazing things for the rest of his career. PS. so cool to hear the relationship with Omega & AJ Styles 👀🫡🥹
I been watching osprey matches for over 10 odd years frim vack in his skiny teen indie days n wasnt a fan butoverthe yeara he grew n grew on me to the point when he was in new japan i realised i was a big fan lol
Aside from the wrestling, what I like the best about Will is how genuine and earnest he is. As a fellow neurodivergent it feels great to see him simply being himself
His energy reminds me of 03' Edge, when he enters the arena. I don't know if i was the only one back then, but i could've been bored the whole show, see his entrance and go crazy. Will gives my kids that same feeling and i love to see it....Thinking about it Copelands entrance still gives me that energy, till this day lol
As someone who has been a casual NJPW watcher for years, one of the few good things that came out of being stuck at home in a pandemic was that it gave me time to do a deep dive into the Ospreay library. He's probably my favourite wrestler in the world now.
We as an audience shouldn't notice the difference but that's one of the reasons I stopped watching WWE. The business is so scripted and controlled that you couldn't determine who really was a wrestler or an actor when they are not able to do their own promo. That creativity is part of being a great wrestler. If you can't do promos, I believe they are not great wrestlers. In WWE everything is controlled. That's why I hated.
Will Washington mentioned creative meetings?! AEW has creative meetings? How does that work when they don't have writers? Can you have creative meetings without writers? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but how can have creative meetings without writers? Is it a meeting between the wrestlers, producers & bookers? Anyone on here know?
They don’t have script/promo writers, at least for a long time they haven’t. But they’ve always had a creative team. Mostly are the OGs, EVPs, coaches, etc.; Jericho, Dustin, Omega, Jimmy Jacobs, Will Washington to name a few. But creative team don’t 100% dictate stories, wrestlers are involved in the creative process too.
@@jonpoon3896 Oh ok. Thanks for letting me know. I always thought AEW was like how the OG Ring of Honor used to be. The wrestlers would go to the producers, the producers would write bullet points of what the wrestlers wanna do & then send it to the bookers & Tony for the final approval. I guess that's not the case & they do things differently.
@@cesarcanete3402 it’s great for the vets like Adam Copeland, Jericho, others coming from WWE, because they get to flex their creative muscles that don’t get used at WWE. Pros and cons. On the flip side, the younger less talent don’t have as good promos because they’re less experienced. Those are the guys that could use a writer’s help
