I'm currently in Kenya and recently they had a new budget released where govt increased taxes. Since then they have protests every Tuesdays and Thursdays. I don't get what's wrong with our nation. No one dares to say anything. We are just a buzdil qoum including myself sadly who's either too afraid or too lazy to do anything if they can put food on their own table.

Our rulers took so much debt because there is no check on them. Every new government blames the previous one and takes more debt to stabilize the duration of their rule.

I have read somewhere about tax collection in Pakistan that there are several motorways in Pakistan, each collect millions of rupees a day. why not Pakistan using Sui Gas to make a cheap source of energy production. and many other points like that. well TBT Podcast you did excellent work. It is because Pakistan borrowed money in the past for consumption of the elites. why should common pakistanis pay for the irresponsible behaviour. Why not cut the Govt employees by half, sell unproductive SOE, reduce concession for army

Sugar industry is actually efficient and is able to bring in exports and much needed dollars. It should be liberalized yes, but not demonized. Sugarcane is a hardy crop and is able to withstand droughts and floods. Also Ethanol a by product is exported.

This is why we offer higher returns for foreign direct investment. It's similar to what we did in 2019 during Imran Khan’s government when higher return rates were offered. People took loans from U.S. banks at a 5% interest rate and invested in Pakistan at 12-13%, allowing them to make a good profit with minimal risk. I agree with all your critiques of the budget. Please plant trees as well besides protesting. Let’s make our cities greener than ever. Let’s make our cities no less than a forest. Plant Neem, Jamun, kikar, Sheesham, ashok trees as much as possible, outside our homes, on green belts, Road sides, wherever there’s empty space. It will help reduce air pollution, noise pollution and extreme heat conditions. Avoid planting sfayda (eucalyptus) trees. Don’t plant too close to structure, as the roots can damage the walls, roads etc.
