For the first time all month, we got to see the 33 drivers of the 2024 Indianapolis 500 take to the track solely to focus on their race setup for Sunday's race. The session was only 2 hours long but there was a lot to take away from what transpired on the race track. Team Penske continues to build off their momentum from qualifying, all 3 cars looked exceptionally strong cutting their way through traffic. However, it was the 2018 Indy 500 Champion Will Power who impressed me the most as he was able to cut through the field like it was nothing, not only that but run away. Scott McLaughlin played it easy for his 2 hours, Josef spent most of his 2 hours swapping for the lead. Colton Herta, Santino Ferrucci, and rookie Christian Rasmussen also looked exceptionally fast on the track. And of course, Kyle Larson of Arrow McLaren / Hendrick Motorsports continues to impress the Indianapolis faithful.
