Will Synchros or ANY other TCG Mechanics Come to Rush Duels?? 

I really want new mechanics for Rush Duels. Maximums are such a cool way to recreate the original appeal of Exodia in a more balanced way. I thought of my own summing mechanic based on attributes even.

Personally speaking, I don’t understand why we assume that “new mechanics” means a new summoning technique. In a way, I found Judgment Arrows to be an mechanic in itself by expanding how Links could be utilised with it. When you can draw multiple cards at once in a Rush Duels, a new type of card all together could be interesting to see. I personally feel that something that could be experimented with are Legend cards. Despite being powerful Classic cards, you can only play 1 in a Deck (I think) and I feel that kind of undervalues the power of these cards (regardless of how often the plot puts it into the hand). For me, I’d like to see these Legend cards get some upgraded forms, kind of like Daigyutenno Megami, but with some variations for different scenarios. Imagine Dark Magician transforming into Dark Magician of Chaos for recover, or into Dark Eradicator Warlock for additional damage. Or Red-Eyes turning into Darkness or Metal Dragon. Or Pot of Greed becoming one of the other Pot spells, like Duality or Desires. Not only would this gives these cards more utility as old favourites, but also adds to the nostalgia factor of them, which would help sales of the game. And who in the Sevens anime is notorious for using Legend cards? Otes. If he showed off a new mechanic, everyone would probably lose their minds. That’s all for my long-winded rant. As much as I love Xyz, I don’t think it or Synchro or Pendulum summoning because they were not apart of the initial OCG/TCG. Hoping Ritual will come.

I think xyz and synchro have a decent chance of coming but theres really no hope for pendulum or links due to how complex they are. It would defeat the point of rush duels.

Honestly if they were gonna include xyz especially I would have expected the baseball utopia be an xyz. I do think they are gonna make more new mechanics exclusive to rush dueling though

at this point i will not be suprised if we see either synchro or xyz summon (up to this point so far) next up in YGO 7. i'd love to see Yuga & his gang getting olso those summon methods as well

If we do get another new mechanic I'm guessing a version of Ritual (stick Ritual Monsters into the Exta Deck!), though I'd love to see the Rush version of Synchro.

I believe that Rituals might still be introduced in Sevens, because Rituals have always been part of the game along with Fusions. But Synchros, Xyz ect. have been added much later.

I think that Xyz as a mechanic are is the most advantageous to bring into rush duels because it really easy mechanic to bring out monsters. And with rush duel’s ability to summon high level monsters. Rank 7 monsters and high are not that problematic to bring out.

I definitely don't see Pendulum and Link coming because they just wouldn't work with the duel disk they have in Sevens. Synchro and XYZ? I don't know and tbh, I wouldn't need them here. If Sevens wants to stay similar to DM era then we maybe get Rituals next because back then, we only had Tribute, Fusion and Ritual summon.

Rush duels are bassicly pendulum summonjng without pendulums

92 episodes and 2 years passed. only fusion and maximun summon was introduced. still waiting what Go Rush is installing for us.

Unless they change the way the mechanics work then I doubt it. Synchro and XYZ are too easy to abuse with the natural rules of Rush Duels. Fusion was able to get past this by needing the fusion spell card and exact by name materials. Maybe synchro summon can get past this by making all Synchro monsters need a specific tuner monster, but XYZ won't work out well. Last thing this game needs is to go the same route as the original game and start being too fast and extra deck accessible.

Thank you Dylan for a Good Video! It is cool to see Fusion Summoning in Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens! I am not sure if they will bring anymore Summoning Mechancis to Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens but I am fine with if they do or don't.

I'm Dylan that Ritual Monsters should come to Rush Duels but not Synchro,Xyz and Link Monsters because if you really just think about if those monsters were to come to Rush Duels then it would just be actual yugioh with different rule set...I feel Rush Duels should be it's own thing separating from the TCG

The syncros aren't because they whould have to put tuners,but XYZ don't requier any specific type of monsters.(except for having the same level),and also pendulums requier a specific type of monsters and a change in the playing field.

I'd actually love to see a mechanic get introduced that's similar to "Evolution"/"Promotion"/"Class Up" (Hate that Rank Up and Advance Summon are already taken). But essentially ace monsters are able to "transcend" into a higher form from the Extra Deck once certain conditions are met. Like destroys 3 monsters, negate 2 card activations, do 5 summons, activate 4 magic/trap cards, deal 1000 points of damage/effect damage, etc. And it'd be cool if some aces had multiple to choose from, and going with Yuga's theme, it's like creating your own road. Just always a dream if I had to think of the next Yugioh summoning mechanic

XYZ and Synchro i can see very well if they want to add them but it could get out of hand with the way Rush duels work unless they change the mechanic Pendulum I cant see be implemented because Rush Duels basically do what Pendulum does but nerfed Rituals the way the game works could actually work well if you think about it. I think its cool they included Fusion for all we know maybe they heard people in Japan hope for it to be implemented

If they added a similar technique to Fusions then I guess they could do the same thing with the others but I don’t think Pendulums or Links would come.

I can honestly see rituals being added next. Since they were around with fusions since duel monsters.

I think it will be the same as the vrains anime: they eventually add all the summing mechanisms as a way to raise the stakes, some character will use ritual some will use synchro. Like how revolver, and soul burner used them

They did it with Vrains and arc-v so honestly I wouldn’t be that surprised if they did bring all the other mechanics

Maybe adding mechanics based on the ace monster of a deck, like activating “skill cards” when the requirements to activate them are on the field and/or hand. They would be OP ofc.

I dont see Synchro or XYZ the same as Master Rule. Rush Duel is doing a good job with Fusion, having both materials in the fields and some fusion card have specific materials like the old days. That is very balanced. Synchro as is it is now, it just 2 monster without the use of a spell card. Rush Duel needs to level up the requirements like sending the tuner monster to the banish area. I hope for a different mechanics. I want a Red colored card for a new mechanic.

I'd like to see rituals in sevens, but not further. As much as I like those summoning methods, Xyz and Synchro would just trun the rush duels into a master duel kind of game where each turn last for hours and it's not even about playing anymore, ruining the whole concept imo. I'd love to see other new completely new summoning mechanics though

I think rituals are very likely, as for the other mechanics, its possible synchros and xyz could come in, but I am near certain pendulums and links wont come

Ritual, Synchro, and xyz have a chance and maybe link summoning if they cut some corners on it but pendulum is on a different type of problem as a whole they not only have 2 different effects they take up 2 spots on the field if you do successful summon them which would probably take the fun out the game entirely

@yugioheverything I think next turn point would be summoning mechanics would be a fusion maximum summon. It would work because you can summon as many monster as possible. Two type extra monster do exist such as odd eyes extra monster.

I mean I think there’s hints to them planning to introduce the other mechanics; namely that the pack that’ll introduce Fusions is called the Extra Transcend Enhancement Pack. For reference, the packs focusing on Maximums are all called the Maximum Ultra [blank] Pack, so they’ll probably only every have the one mechanic. But if the Fusion pack is actually named after the Extra Deck as a whole, that gives the designers the freedom to introduce another mechanic every half a year if they felt like it; and implies at least one more will come to Rush Duels eventually. Also, I’m not really getting your logic as to why the book’s slammed shut on the other mechanics. Especially if you’re saying that because Sevens has Fusions, that’s it for old mechanics...but it’s then Yugioh 8 will be free to introduce three more old mechanics itself. Can someone explain that one to me? Unless you’re thinking Yugioh 8 will also only get one old mechanic; and it’ll be like “5Ds but Rush Duels” and then later “Zexal But Rush Duels”. In which case, I think you might be giving more importance and weight to the old mechanics than the series itself really is. I mean they just dropped in Fusions in the middle of season 2 here. Not without its fanfare, of course, but not so much fanfare that I couldn’t see them doing this again in a couple months to a year.

Two things from me. 1: the introduction of fusion does not feel like a turning point for Sevens because of how little they flushed out its user compared to Neil. 2: while this may be wishful thinking, pendulum actually feels like it has a use in 3 zone formats if they introduce a spell/trap that exists in the extra deck that requires pendulums to be used and rush duels could do that by making the activation include sacrificing the card between the pendulum zones. Edit: noticed a comment about ritual and thought that the pendulums could act as the requirements to summon once a turn activate a ritual spell from the extra deck for a free high level ritual monster from the hand and linking two former summoning methods together

I think that the only mechanics that we will see for Rush Duels are simple, self-explanatory, and recognizable to other card game players. For example, something like an Evolution mechanic (which is present in a lot of card games) would fit perfectly into rush duels.

Personally speaking, I can at least see Rituals and maybe Synchros. Xyz is also possible, given how flashbacks in the show have actually shown Xyz Monsters. Given that the Rush Duel format was made both in and out of universe as a simplier version of the main card game, I can't imagine they'd include Pendulum or Links because of how much more complicated they made the game overall.

I wonder if there will be a movie like bonds beyond time but with Yuma Yuya and yusaku or a movie about all seven protagonists fight a threat more powerful than all previous villains combined

Xyz summoning has been confirmed to exists in Yugioh Sevens in the first episode just like how Xyz summoning was in the first episode of Vrains when I looked back one of the cards in Vrains was a Digital Xyz monster and several Xyz monsters appeared in Sevens episode 1 Constellar Ptolemy M7 Heroic Champion - Excalibur Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade Raidraptor - Stranger Falcon

I would love to see more Ritual summoning in Yu-Gi-Oh! series, because we don't see enough in the series. We only see original Yu-Gi-Oh!, GX, and Vrains.

If we are getting all the mechanics from master duel in rush duel I think we are getting fusion,synchro,xyz,pendulum and link versions of maximum summoning

I'm into the Rush Synchros, while we had a great missed chance with Yuka when it comes to Rush Xyz monsters.

I agree with Dylan here. Synchro, XYZ, and Ritual are possible later down the road. Pendulum and Links are not possible. The spirit of Pendulum summoning is basically already part of the Rush Duel game. Links, on the other hand, are never coming back in any form and should not come back in any form. Dueling became like rocket science to me so I just tuned out every time anyone dueled in VRAINS. It's funny to me that VRAINS is like that child Konami wants to forget, because VRAINS is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh series and I'm over here bashing on Link summoning. This doesn't mean Konami will stop producing Link summon cards in the main game. In any case, I'm curious how Rush Duels will continue to evolve. I'm not sure what Yu-Gi-Oh 8 will be like, but I'd love for Yu-Gi-Oh to continue for as long as possible, please. I'd like to at least be around the age of Yugi's grandfather when it ends. I have no idea if I'll live that long, but maybe I'm healthier than I think. Based on my current age, I want the franchise to continue releasing content for new anime series for at least 4 more decades, because yes, I did just look up what age Yugi's grandfather is. I'm surprised I still remember his name.

Synchro and Xyz could come to Rush Duel but I doubt Pendulums can come because in Rush Duel, you can summon as many as you want as oppose to the original one normal summon per turn. However, there is a chance ritual would come

I believe they could possibly add ritual, synchro and xyz, and posssssibly link, but see i believe that your deck could only use one of these summoning mechanics in your deck, i also believe that they would be more generic monsters than archetype specific.

I don't really care about them introducing Links in this format, but I don't think we should discount the possibility just yet. I'm not saying they will be in Sevens, but considering that they completely changed up the Master Duel board to accomodate Links in the VRAINS era, it's not entirely unreasonable to assume they could do the same for Rush Duels if they choose to include/focus on them in a hypothetical Yu-Gi-Oh! 8.

Thats true but Pendlum can are able to summon hisher level monsters as well with scales so maybe if they do do something like you can activate sales in your hand which I think would be pretty cool and uinque but I think its highley unlikely and there no hope at all for link unless they decide the next series they change the board state where the the Extra Monster Zones. ALso a topic I want to bring up is in every Yugioh series there is basically 3 main villionis in the show but for me Yuo and the Goha Siblings feel like the only villians to me so far because Roa, Neil, Asana, Otes don't feel like villians at all to me but yeah if there is a potential for two more main villians they could use Synchro and XYZ and thats how the bring them in but thats just a hunch

I think ritual might if they didn't have maximums since I think the 2 mechanics are too similar to have both and I also doubt the other ones with certainty that they will not appear.

I'm calling it, Ritual monsters that start in the Extra Deck will be in Sevens. I don't know if we will get Synchros or Xyz but I think this is something they might seriously do. They can't do it in the OCG/TCG but Rush Duels would be the perfect place to fix Ritual monsters.

Interesting question, I absolutely hope Synchro Xyz and many other Yu-Gi-Oh Summoning Methods return in Rush Duels especially Arc V’s Pendulum Summoning being treated like Synchros in Arc V where the Summoning Method was never used in the previous Yu-Gi-Oh once introduced in Synchro’s case it was not used in Zexal and Pendulums were not used in Vrains. In other words I’d like to see the remaining Yu-Gi-Oh Summoning Methods return in Rush Duels and most importantly in Sevens.

Weird Theory{but}: What if Asana eventually uses Ritual, and Roa uses Pendulum? ~Asana, being apart of the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club, Excavates one of the Earliest summoning methods, Rituals ~Roa, Since he's monsters requires Tributing Lv5+ mons to use their Effs; He learns to Pendulum them out

Also there is a problem in rush Duel and it is the legendary cards ( only one legendary card is allowed in every deck ) so fusions like blue eyes ultimate dragon and other fusions that needs more than one legendary card same with synchros and xyz

What I think they could do for Yugioh 8 is a cross over (this is a pipe dream). If they don’t do that then they could remaster the original show, only with 8000 life and the real rules (they could even do the season zero arc in it, but this is another pipe dream), or they could go with another sequel that mixes rush and master duels in the show (most likely).

While Sevens is running, maybe at least one TCG Mechanics will come to rush duels.

Reminder, while it is Fusion. Its not Fusion. OCG/TCG is Fusion (Yugo) and Rush is Fusion (Fusion), they are different. This was maily because it allows them to introduce Fusion (Fusion) as the choice effect mechanic, similar to how Maximum had Continuous Effects which then came off them as they are still main deck monsters.

So Rituals have a decent chance behind Fusions due to Rush Duels Rapid drawing, so if Vrains wasn’t the Ritual Renaissance, Sevens will be. Synchros and Xyz may be considered but it will be a long while before we get them. But Pendulums and Links are definite no-goes. Pendulums would be redundant since Rush Duel summoning is literally Pendulum summoning with extra steps. And Link summoning was literally designed to slow down the game, this one is a hard NOPE.

I think everything except pendulum cause like we have seen the duel disks but we didn't really had extra deck and btw the extra monster zone had only been shown on the board on the duel disks in vrains there wasn't a extra monster zone btw i write that before watching the video

No. I pray to god they don't do that to rush duels, leave all the xyz,synchros and pendulums and links in the main game. Maximum summoning and fusions are enough, they're plenty. If rituals were to be a thing I would be fine with it, but those big red flags of summoning mechanics like xyz, synchros and pendulums and links should stay faaaaarr away from rush duels

I love synchro and XYZ & poneman & lank I wish there be inside of Yu-Gi-Oh Rush duel please put inside of the game they won't a fine and I want to continue how long it takes I want to see what happened next on the on the episode or season the story game really I don't know what's going to happen next is a mystery I want to find out probably you guys want to find out to love Rush duel.

My personally favourite summoning mechanic are Pendulums, but even I know it will be redundant in Rush Duels.

Since they reintroduced fusions, I think there's a slight possibility that Synchros and Xyzs will appear in Sevens, but I doubt they will. Personally, I'm perfectly fine with only having fusions. Pendulums are pretty much pointless and rush duels, and links make the game a lot more complicated which defeats to purpose of rush duels to begin with. I can see links appearing in a future anime since they're so relevant to the current tcg, but I have a feeling pendulums are going to be an Arc V exclusive thing since we haven't seen them since then. They'll probably end up like rituals and only make an appearance every once in a great while.

But can we have the reverse Konami? Rush Duels coming to TCG?

Shunning Pendulums is what I consider a con for Vrains anime. You just sweep the mechanic under the rug rather integrate into MR5.

If they bring back any old mechanics then it would probably be ritual. Any of the other ones would completely change the way the game is played, even moreso than in the TCG because making synchro or xyz or whatever would just be so easy in Rush

You can't see Link summoning returning? Well imagine this Yugioh 8, similar to Sevens they do a fun little graphic with the Duel Disk, but then it fades away to only show the 6 monster zones on the field. After that suddenly two new zones flicker in revealing the Link zones making... 8 MONSTER ZONES ON THE FEILD! ... Ok this is more of a Joke, I don't see it actually happening. XD

I disagree. We will see synchro and xyz before the end of the show. Probably quite soon. They are old and simple mechanics by now. Also Yuro and Yuka will get ace monsters upgrade in future. That's why they have more attention and screen time in this arc alongside Yuo. Second prediction: Yuga will be first to do Synchro Summon.

One way to make ritual summoning different is to put ritual monsters in the extra deck. Otherwise I think Konami won’t bring one of their most hated mechanic.

As far as I see it, Synchros and XYZs get a pass in my eyes. The only reason I wouldn't want to see PENDULUS in this is because there's already a mechanism that lets you summon as many LOW level monster as you can, and bringing back pendulums would break the game all over again because tribute summoning
