Based on the autobiography of G. Gordon Liddy, who spent four years and six months in prison following the Watergate scandal. Starring legend Robert Conrad as George Gordon Battle Liddy (G. Gordon Liddy). Also with Danny Lloyd ("The Shinning") in his last acting job as the Young George Gordon. Lloyd later became a school teacher.
The film follows the rise and fall of convicted Watergate conspirator G. Gordon Liddy who is sentenced to 20 years in prison. While in prison, the film portrays Liddy as capable and able to match up to any man in the prison. The film includes several famous details from Liddy's 1980 autobiography including the legendary "hand held over the burning flame," and Liddy's oath, "I will kill for you, Mr. President." Other figures associated with the Watergate scandal and portrayed in this film include Jeb Magruder and John Dean. The movie was based on Liddy's 1980 autobiography.
The film first aired on NBC on January 10, 1982. For education, entertainment, enlightenment and inspiration. We hope you enjoy!

I met Mr Liddy at a dinner for the book, told some great stories, turned out, they were all true. He may have been a lot of things, but he wasn't a liar, unlike a lot of people he worked for and with.

Interesting. His mother was an ardent german right?
@jbjoeychic
@jbjoeychic Год назад
No, not his mother. The movie showed that it was his nanny that was an ardent German. She listened to Hitler speeches during the mid 30's when Hitler was very admired by the German people. Gordon listened to enough Hitler speeches to become entranced with him and that is why he gave the Nazi salute at the end. Between '33 and '39 all of Germany loved Hitler and there was only one person that openly opposed Hitler and warned the World about him, that was Winston Churchill because he read Hitler's book 'Mein Kampf' and believed every word and took him seriously. Had people paid attention to Churchill many millions of lives may have been saved...

@@jbjoeychicWhat about the picture of Churchill, FDR and Stalin ( I get them mixed up - it's late ) Churchill is looking at FDR like "what's wrong with you" because FDR is gazing as if in love

@@jbjoeychicHe gave the Nazi salute at the end, because that is how he and all his classmates saluted the flag growing up at school. Hitler forever ruined that type of salute. Liddy being his own man didn’t mind reverting back to that, irregardless… and at the end of the book he ties it to his childhood at that moment.

Check out America's untold stories. I think a case can be made against Crafard. I think Larry was the name.The name was spelled funky. Anyhow, one of Jack Rubys alleged associates.
