Every year the young QB's are getting better. It's going to be hard for everyone to make it to the big game.

The OL was the Bengals downfall. They need to concentrate on building that.

The AFC is stacked with a lot of young talking at QB. It’s gonna be really hard for any team in the AFC to make the SB.

The Bengals didn't get to the Super Bowl just because of Joe Burrow this year, we got there because the defense was excellent. Burrow came through when it mattered if he wasn't on the ground, and McPherson kicked perfectly, so really it was a complete team effort. Heck I'd even say the offensive line looked good for the second half against the Chiefs, unfortunately, they let us down against the Rams.

The major factor Bengals have most room under cap in entire NFL by a huge margin.

Baltimore was a walking hospital this season it’s gonna be hard just to make it outta that division

As a die - hard Packers fan , I was pulling for the Bengals. Knowing how hard it is to even get to the Super Bowl. Joe Borrow is so talented but you obviously need offensive line help.

I think people don’t keep track of how many teams in the AFC “are gonna win one”. The Chiefs, the Bills, the Chargers, the Patriots, the Titans, etc. The Bengals have so much in their way

CIN might be the best positioned team in football. Don't understand y u guys talked down on them. Franchise QB, Elite WRs, RB. Stout front-7. Young team that gained valuable experience & have a ton of cap space. They'll be elite for awhile.

I remember Dan Marino saying, after he retired, about his thoughts after his 1st SB appearance (a loss) that he wasn't worried, "I figured we be there many more times and win a few." They never made it back. It's so much harder after you've done it, because teams look at you differently. You don't "sneak" up on another team anymore. Also, you have to remember that the Ravens were decimated by injuries before the season really had begun.

Bengals caught a wave. Unlikely to repeat, very few do. Getting there is so difficult, Patriots aside. So happy for them.

They had almost perfect injury year, that is rare. Also now picking later, so no more gimmies. Being good and making it to bowl are two different things

Look at it like this. The Rams made it to the SB one year .. next year missed the playoffs and then basically decided to buy a trophy this year ..... I won't be shocked if either or both teams MISS the playoffs next year ... The NFL is volatile league. FA takes teams apart in months. Ask Dan Marino about how "easy" it is to get back to the SB. And like you mentioned Rodgers ... lock for the HoF ... pretty good shot, odds say, he'll never play in another SB.

This is why I'm glad as a Bucs fan the 2 times we went to the Super Bowl we won it all, when we had the chance. You gotta make your Super Bowl runs count. Just to hard to even make it in general. But Bengals got a bright future as long as Burrow can stay healthy

Bengals gave the 4th most cap space with all our core pieces signed for the next 3-4 years. They are gonna attack the o-line this offseason, resign bates and bring in a few more pieces. We will be back. Idk if itll be next year, but this was not Burrow’s last superbowl appearance 💯

I feel like if they can get an offensive line in there and maintain their core group they’ll be a playoff contender

The Bengals have to approach this offseason as if they didn’t make the Super Bowl. O-Line and Secondary should be their number 1 concerns and then everything else can be filled out, that’s the only thing holding them back at this point

They'll be good for awhile with that offense & front 7. Gotta fix the OL. Nobody will stop those WRs if Burrow gets time. Secondary is OK but has room for improvements.

They'll make it back at some point. They just REALLY need to protect my boy, Joe.

As a packers fan, nothing is guaranteed. After 2010 I would’ve told you we would’ve made it to at least 4 more, instead we haven’t been back. You can’t take anything for granted in the nfl. Especially with teams like the bills and chiefs in the afc

they should at least be a conversation for it, but in reality it's extremely hard for them to pull it off again, given how stacked the AFC is rightnow. IMO I think the Bills have the best chance next year.

I was at the game. Bengals nation showed up. A few bad calls. Still proud of our season.

Burrow had MAJOR help with having the same starting receiver he played with in college. Take that dynamic away and watch them go back to 4-win seasons.

AFC North is such a toss up its impossible to predict, Steelers could land a good QB in the offseason but even if they dont, that team is competitive as long as they have Mike T and that defense. Ravens and Browns were decimated by injuries and COVID this year, idc what people want to say about Mayfield and Jackson, those boys can ball and if they get some stud WRs this offseason as both teams desperately need, they will be scary. AFC North is about to be a blood bath this coming season. Zoom out to the entire conference where this season there were 10+ teams in the playoff race where it came down to the last 1-2 weeks. Even without all those circumstances, football is a tough sport, look at Aaron Rodgers, won 1 ring and hasnt been back to the Superbowl since, Dan Marino never made it back after he lost. Not saying its impossible for them to go back, just gonna be really tough.

Eventually. Maybe. The AFC has about a 1/2 dozen real contenders over the next few years. If Chase leaves, the Bengals will be back to a 8-9 team.

AFC North is a bloodbath, any of them could make it. Even with Ben way past his prime, injured Baker and a crippled Ravens team the Bengals only won the division by 1 game. The division is ultra competitive and the AFC is super talented, a bunch of teams could make it

I was glad to see the Bengals make it and Burrow. Im a big fan of him and its unfortunate they lost. But being a Bills fan, next year I want everyone to start syncing better with Josh Allen and not making him do everything on the team. Then i want them to go to the superbowl and win it all.

We should also point out that the afc was very inconsistent. AFC North was in shambles, I'm going to guess that if 90% of the Ravens roster wasn't injured it would be a lot different

The players and coaches are the guys that stepped up and owned this season. If they can take that level of ownership to the next level, they got this. And they can. They had tremendous success this year with their ownership, that trumps trying to get a better O line or the next hot rookie or great strategy or whatever. Each player taking responsibility for whether they win or lose a game is ultimate.

Without beefing up the O line they arent going to be back.

We were a team no one thought was even going to be a playoff contender. We lost to a team that was actively building to be a Super Bowl winner. And it was close. We will be top of AFC north for awhile and I’m happy person for what the future holds for Who Dey

Lots of lucky stuff had to happen for the Bengals to get where they got. Derrick Carr spiked on 1st Down. Tannehill killed Tennessee with his 3 INTs. Patrick Mahomes 2nd half meltdown. All their games won on FGs, like just made it. Also when Mahomes threw 50tds that year it seemed like they're just gonna win for the next 5 years and that isn't the case, so yeah, it's the NFL, it's hard for teams to get back there bc evryeone is getting better every year.

I think the jets are a team that could do what the bengals did next year just without the super bowl appearance but I think we’ll see the jets as a 7th seed

The balance of power shifts so quickly in the NFL. Mahomes and the Chiefs might have made their last trip to the AFC Championship for a while with the amount of talent up and coming.

No, they have the building blocks they need but until they need to upgrade the defense and O line before they can be seen as a consistent threat to win the AFC.

The QB talent is unreal right now in the AFC. Unless they get that line right they might not make it back for a long time.

I mean, if the Bengals had an Oline, Cincy runs away with that game it seems? The defense was doing well, Joe was amazing in my opinion. he did what he did with the line that everyone has been shitting on for years now, and the skills players are so good. They're decent run blockers too they just need to figure out the passing game. Guess it really does depend on if they will use that cap space or not. Also, people keep talking about him staying in there and taking the hits and not checking down, remember, it's year 1.5 for him. He's got time, hopefully he learns. If he progresses then woof. It's not like he's got Andy Reid as his head coach.

The path to follow is the one that had Stafford-Beckham-Ramsey-Miller added to it.

It's equally hard for every team in the NFL. Cincinnati has a lot of young talent with Superbowl experience now. There's not many teams better equipped than them to start off next season.

They need to address the offensive line in the draft and free agency.
