A lot of eyes are on the 15th BRICS Summit and I thought it would be a good idea to walk about Beijing and share some of my thoughts on the BRICS 15th Summit. This year the summit will be held in South Africa and there are a lot of potential topics that could be discussed during these meetings. I talk about 3 things that I think need to be addressed to make this BRICS meeting successful.
What do you think about these 3 topics and the meetings? Do you think this is the moment for BRICS to grow and take a bigger role in global leadership or do you think it is just another meeting?

From the very bottom of my heart I really hope it will succeed and give US dollar a worthy opponent, we are tired of all the inflation and our unhealthy dependency toward the US dollar... it sucks...
@TripBitten
@TripBitten Год назад
Yea, the inflation is killing the world. There needs to be something outside of the US control to balance the US and hold them accountable for their debt.

@@TripBitten Actually my country has been doing trade with other countries especially china and japan using our own respective currencies since 2010- ish and I think that is one big factor that help us reach 5-6% percent economy growth in this last 6 years. The hot topic that come out lately that is for our government to dedolarized our reserves that still largely stored in the shape of US dollars. Will we do it? Well I think it depends on how BRICS performance this year, and I really hope they could come out with good news...

BRICS is not the creation of a "replacement" or "opponent" of the US currency. It's just a basked of multiple currencies where members exchange inside their own currency bypassing the dollar. It's how the world worked from 500BC till 1800AC.
@danhtran6401

@@iskotayo1BRICS performance?... Let me give you a short update. Banks have frozen Russia and its assets and wouldn't recognize Russia. China just filed for bankruptcy. South Africa is collapsing. Brazil besides buying oil from Russia, they could care less about trading with any of them.... 😂 .... I'll challenge any idiot who thinks they can rival the dollar...
@DucaTech
@DucaTech Год назад
@@danhtran6401 Brazil's largest trading partner is China, not the US. The only thing I can see happening is US installing regime change in these BRICS countries to avert BRICS cohesion. All fiat currencies eventually fall. Whether it was Dutch Guilders, Spanish Pesos, British Pound, or USD. All these past empires come & go, but gold remains true to its value after 5000 years.

BRICS has been a success already for the last 10 years. US dollars has lost already 15% of the commercial international exchange already. And tons of countries wanna be part of the cool club. Putin COULD go to the meeting. South Africa would NOT try to arrest him. But he doesn't want to embarrass the South African government. The Western states would all jump on and condemn South Africa for it. And Putin is helping the South Africans to not have to deal with that. He is a serious LEADER and doesn't want a "media" story to side track from the meeting.

As a part of this discussion in terms of new members, I'll give my top 10 list--may be 5-6 will be new members. Top 5 (not in any particular order) 01. Iran - energy 02. UAE - energy 03. Saudi Arabia - enegry 04. Ethiopia - population and allows for extention into Africa 05. Argentina - large population and ettends BRICS into Latin America 06. Venezuela - energy 07. Khazastan - enegry 08. Egypt - large population and extends African cooporation 09. Indonesia - large population and can be top 5 economy in 30 years 10. Mexico -large population and further extends corporation in latin America (potential top 10 economy in 30 years) Personally I see5-6 new members and maybe the second batch will be the list from 6 to 10 or so--this is just my guess.

Argentina - large population and ettends BRICS into Latin America 08. Egypt - large population and extends African cooporation My top five was all correct and includes number 8. Congrats to all countries. It would seem logic to get energy countries in since with Russia and China its about 60-70 of enegry.

I'm all for returning to the gold standard in the US, so any move towards gold-backed currency would help push the west off their fiat system. Do I think the BRICS nations have a true unifying ideology aside from not really liking the west that much? I don't see much to keep them together long-term.

The assessments and judgement is kind of Yes/No .. The points are right but option of india leaving BRICS moronic idea and proposal…The fundament shift should come from China if it really wants to hold this block meaningful. The blunder china made was for past 20 yrs, to corner india , restricting india through Pak / Bangladesh, Nepal, Srilanka, insurgency , communist NGO, blocking india in many fronts it’s progress …instead of enabling india and become a trusted partner . It would have forged China /India /Russia partnership as a force to reckon.. two decades of anti india agenda and now wanted india to help its counter US strategy ..how morons are Chinese CCP who could have made india their driving partner than pushing it as an adversary… Russia -!: even USA are trusted partners of india but not China … It is moronic on part of China to be a sole power in this region.. it should have allowed India’s deserving space but actually should have enabled it .. then entire Asia pacific, indo pacific , arctic , pacific , Indian Ocean , South China Sea , Arabian Sea , Bay of Bengal , Mediterranean, Red Sea, would have been a powerful zone .. which BRIcs is trying to evolve .. it’s China ‘s india policy for its failure… india being 15% of world population , almost 3rd best world economy, maintains its own sovereignty and competence in every field and largest democracy.. how can you ignore it to be part of Security Council..? Who blocked China CCP for its vested relationship with failed spineless Pak army ..both have failed Chinese people and Pak people .. who will trust China and Pak ?? China is worried on India’s rise but it failed to realize india could be the best trusted partner . US allied with many countries and especially with its neighbors.. instead to build its power of influence with india giving its due share , what China did it flared up and emboldened spineless Pak army for insurgency in india .. Pak army has failed both Pak people and China … BRIcs should not be a anti west block as Russia and China intend to .. both blocks should refrain from using civil war situations to benefit their defense enterprise .. if it is .. then india should restrict and stop China ..

I too doubt there will be a BRICS currency anytime soon. It is a lot harder to create a new currency. But a new financial transactions settlement system is a lot more practical and easier to setup (relatively to new currency). Of course it won't have the same effect as a new currency, but it will have meaningful impact to counter SWIFT and dollar dominance. BRICS itself is also going to be a long grinding process, which is not necessarily that different than creating any other global organization as member states' interests are intertwined but at the same time can be diverging from each other. I guess this is one of the main reasons why to form such organization so that member states can negotiate and have dialogue to find common ground to maximize benefits for everyone.

Whatever is announced from the BRICS summit I'm sure will be played down or negated in a lot of Western media (a lot of which are completely ignoring the summit). The best outcome perhaps would be acceptance or a process of accepting new members, something though which would really create further fear in the same Global north countries. A settlement currency would be something that would really gain traction if countries such as Saudi Arabia were to become members. What a huge change it would make for the Global south if there was an agreement and a process forward. With all that, I fear what will be reaction from Washington and it's various allies.
