Should have gotten bushings like Matts off road has on their wrecker. Yours will allow side-to-side movement of the line under load causing possible wear at one point of the line.

Look at a Holmes 440 wrecker body. The supports meet the bed well behind the boom pivot point. I think your flexing problem could be helped some by moving the supports back farther. Also that fairlead is nice looking, but it's so wide. You're going to have a lot of side to side movement when towing. I know synthetic cables are tough, but a pulley up there would go a long way in protecting and controlling it when towing/lifting. Just my opinion.

For aesthetic purposes . When fabricating , put the seams of the tubing to the inside of your project so they don’t show up in your paint .

Pneumatic and/or electric actuators to extend/retract the boom extension. And of course have the holes for manual extending/retracting if system down.

Hey Guys, love what you're doing. Have some suggestions for you. Consider some rear outriggers to widen the foot print of the mini wrecker and keep from overloading the leaf springs. Also once you've fully braced the deck so the headache rack won't flex, consider adding some hydraulic rams to lift the boom into position. And finally thanks for finally cutting that line on the cab! Looks like it was planned that way from the beginning!!!

Cut a hole in the headache rack down tube with a chain keyhole slot and store the extra chain inside the down tube. Like the safety chains on a tow truck or Zach Lift aka Casey LaDelle

I’m curious about how you will grease it all. “Long pin on bottom, extension in and out” especially if you drill holes at certain points to make it diff lengths. Also using fairlead looks like it will chop your rope with enough weight. Maybe take a look at the OG Trail Mater and see how he built the part he uses in same area as your fairlead. I know there is some kind of pulley. That will also help with movement and no friction. Just a thought. Have fun boys. Keep up the good work.

I think this option would work the best (6 Ton (12,000 lb) Dump Trailer Hydraulic Scissor Hoist Kit - PH416) runs off DC. So in lieu of a bed its the boom. Awesome vid guys keep them rolling.

After every video, it takes me an hour to read 100 comments. Brady's wife and Caleb's wife would never let them name this "The Pecker Wrecker". Being that I'm called a Baby Boomer, when we were young our dads and uncles would refer to the male genital part as being a "Pecker". Alex being the unmarried brother, if he wrecks his pecker, his girlfriend(s) end up pregnant....just sayin'!

I feel your not going to like the wide opening using the winch rope plate on the end of the boom, it will slide back and forth hauling stuff and probably damage the winch rope over time. Just my 2 cents. Opinions are like buttholes everyone has one and they all stink.😂

Love the build. I don't mean to be negative, this is a legitimate question. How are you going to counterbalance the weight at the front of the mini-wrecker so that it doesn't tip over when you pick heavier things up?

I love the way the Chinese Mini Truck is turning out! That fair lead on the end of the boom looks really cool. I am concerned that your cable will slide side to side as you are towing. You might want to put some pulleys or something to keep it in the center. Thank you for sharing.

What about using 1/2” binder for that adjustable chain support. Cut the hooks off and use d rings to connect them.

That wrecker is something else. I think comparatively to other wreckers, that boom is a piece of art. So sick.

Might be rethinking the tip of the boom. What you have mounted is just for the protection of the winch rope, not for the load you will be lifting. I would hate to see the bottom of it break out on a lift of any substantial weight. Hear's hoping I'm totally wrong!!

Have they considered the possibility of adding weight to the nose? Like a crane or tractor. I've watched every episode, but I don't remember. 🤔

You Could Put A 3 or 4 inch Drop Pipe With A Big Steel Plate With holes About Every Inch To Pin It So It Will Hold What Ever Weight You Need To Lift & Later Use A Hydrolic on Each Side ???🙄😜

For what you are going to be able to lift with that truck that Boom is far far too heavy! it would be strong enough with 3/16"box 2"square for the four main rails then 3" square for the sliding boom! This current boom would be strong enough to grace one of Heavy "D's" rigs! It does look the part and it will not break before you bend the chassis! Brilliant content and so much fun to watch!

As Grady likes to say, anyone can build a bridge that doesn't collapse. It only takes an engineer to build one that BARELY doesn't collapse. When in doubt, more steel! 🤣

WARNING, that fairlead on the end of the extension boom will not be strong enough to lift a vehicle. It is basically a rope guide, where the angle the rope is coming in is small. It was not made to take any significant stress. Please do not use that to lift a vehicle, it will fail catastrophically and maybe hurt someone.

Ive been drinkin AG1 for almost a year. You guys put me onto using orange juice with AG1. Game changer. You guys are funny. Love the trio
