I am about to start to source parts in order to build my own watch of Aliexpress, can you recommend a GMT movement? I was looking at the NH34 but don't really know much about it.

If I was going to build a GMT watch, I would choose the NH34. The NH series of movements has a sold reputation for reliability and accuracy. Thanks for watching!!

@@goldengraeme1918 If I was going to buy a true GMT movement it would be the Miyota 9000 series but I've never seen them for sale on AliExpress. Apparently, they're not easy to get hold of.

I like this one, but it hasn't inspired a purchase. The color scheme is OK, but not exactly as eyecatching as it might have been a few years ago. No love for the SN0118-G? I love those new color combinations. Probably should have waited for the sale, but I picked up the "mint chocolate chip" one.

There's sure a lot of choice these days and it's getting harder for brands to produce eye-catching designs, especially original ones. I really like the SN0118G but it's been reviewed several times already...and several more reviewers have said that they've got it on the way, so I think I've missed the boat on that one! As always, a clear and concise review. That is much appreciated. I agree that the color is going to be a big purchase point or it will turn someone off. A friend and fellow enthusiast once told me: "No one cares about your watch. Wear what you like." I think this San Martin falls into that category. One person may love the novelty while another may cringe at the boldness/cartoonish appearance. Humans. LOL I would certainly wear it and at those discount prices it is a solid value. However, I already have at least four other watches in that niche and really don't need another. Since I discovered Ali Express my collection has ballooned to the point that I have a @ three week rotation for each watch. Your channel is the highlight of any day for me. Thank you for all that you do! May Karma aways smile upon you.

Not concerned about that non-ideal lug width. I do wish that they would stop with the NH35 in no date watches. In fact I won't buy watches with ghost dates. Which is a shame because its a nice watch. Also for me it should have been bigger. 40mm is the smallest.

@@TimeForAnotherWatch yes, I've noticed. Steeldive has a $18 off $60 or more on top of everything else so if you look hard enough can get one for $35-$40 or the colored variants for $50. Also the snowdrift dial addiesdive Willard is marked down and could get it under $40 with coupons
