Should pedals be allowed, should down scan and side scan, what about livescope, and we can add inflatables to that list. I don't think it's more of advantage because all kayaks have different hulls that allow you to access different waters depending on the model. I got no problem with with inflatables.
I have 3 inflatables. They are convenient because they are so light. The down side is that they will delaminate. Ice had to re glue them down granted I live down in hot ole texas. It sucks too when they get a seam leak such a pain to repair if you even can. The light weight though is just so nice. Wind will move you around way more than a rotomolded kayak. Honestly if you can own both.
An awesome river fishing machine. Should not be banned but if we were to draw a line…. It would be right here. This is the max. there needs to be a distinction from kayak to small boat with regards to tournament fishing
We all know that despite anyone's best intentions, what's deemed acceptable is going to be dictated by what the BIG Manufacturers decide to put out. I don't see how one can say that the Osprey here should be the limit, especially in a World where Hobie PA14's and the like are still so highly sought after as go-to Tournament rigs.
Yes the big manufacturer will set the pace . The Hobie pa is still a kayak. When we start getting into pontoon style boats with motors it becomes a gray area. I’ve seen this craft in person and was very impressed by it. But It did get me thinking about where to draw the line.
@@mickp9513 I think what we're witnessing is just the natural progression of Kayak Hull designs in terms of efficiency, be it inflatable, rotomolded, or whatever else may come along material-wise. I intend on getting an Osprey, specifically because it suits the bodies of water I prefer to fish like a glove. Would I take an inflatable to Gator infested tributaries, NO... but I leave those to the Swamp People and their pew'pews.
I think that the boat with frame and seat is $1999. There’s a Torqeedo kit that covers the mounting plate, foot control steering parts (including side plates that you put registration numbers on), and maybe a throttle mount. It’s all on his website.
Tray has 17 of the first batch available for preorder. The last part was the track, and that’s finally in. You can go on InnovativeSportsman.com and order one.
Yep, Mike sliced into the side wall of the Star Rival Fish. I repaired it with Tear Aid Type B to continue the filming I did with him on the water, and completed a more permanent patch at home. The side walls of the Osprey are doubled up, so it’s not the lightest weight Inflatable, but it is the heavy duty one. Would it withstand full throttle slashing from the 1103? Probably not.
