Every American has the RIGHT and the DUTY to criticize America. If you don't like that, perhaps YOU are the one who should leave. Maybe you'd like North Korea this time of year. I hear it's lovely -- and you won't hear any criticism of the government.
@@Silver77cynnot easy isn't equal to not an option. Dislike is a pretty motivating feeling, if people can't find a will and way through that then I reckon said people don't dislike it enough.
Because it depends. The ORIGINAL 13 star flag stood for freedom. The adding of additional stars as the country expanded, arguably stands for imperialism. You think all those dead Indians thought it was a symbol of freedom?
Damn these students are so ungrateful I bet u that some of their parents immigrated for a better life for their kids and this is what they are, so sad.
I’m an immigrant and I love the US. That’s why I decided to move here. I just naturalized and became a US citizen a couple of months ago. Yes, all countries have their own issues but overall the US is a great country with great people. Just a side note for those people who think I stay in the US because I have no other choice. That’s not the case, I applied and received permanent residency in Canada and another country as well, but still liked the US better.
I believe you, but at the same time I’m having a really hard time believing that most of the students in campus were this ungrateful and radical about this country. I just can’t fathom. There’s no way we got into this point this fast.😥
She admitted there's a lot of opportunity here. What she leaves out of her calculations is all that opportunity was created during times when people were patriotic and loved America -- the opportunity was created _by_ that love of country. She is contributing to draining that opportunity by holding America in such low regard. All these misguided kids are. Sad.
The A-flag is a symbol of the ideals of our country. We are not perfect but we are all American and want the best for the US and all people. We get better all the time
Their attitude has been carefully curated by professors and other America-despisers in academia. It's analogous to the 'poor little rich kid' syndrome, where spoiled, wealthy offspring despise and waste the hard-earned legacy of their more worthy forebears, because it was all handed to them within a life of ease. Even the girl who came here for opportunity fails to appreciate it because of the prevalent attitudes on campus by the spoiled kids who grew up here, and the cynical professionals who work very hard to sway them to that viewpoint.
Criticizing America does NOT mean they "hate" America. I criticize my students, not because I hate them, but because I love them and I want them to be the best versions of themselves that they can possibly be. So I call attention to their flaws and weaknesses so they can fix them. When you have a flat tire, you fix the flat. You don't ignore it and crow about how great the other tires are.
Sure, of course it's ok to come up with ways to make it better, it's actually crucial because we LOVE it and are so grateful to be blessed to live here. But if people are NOT GRATEFUL TO BE HERE and contribute to making this a wonderful country then they should GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
Life has never been easier. Do you love America? No. These people don’t have a clue. Are we flawed? Yes. Are there major issues? Yes. But put these people back in 1840 for a day then ask them about America.
No, it doesn't. You can wear a symbol of the american flag, you are not permitted to turn a flag into clothing to be worn. His symbol on his shirt is an older version of the flag. His shirt is not made from an American flag.
