How funny that you should post this. My husband and I were just having this discussion yesterday. I have loads of food allergies and react negatively to every meal, even all the supposedly "safe" for me foods. Meanwhile, my husband has his own medically limited diet. So together, food acquisition and consumption are a significant, challenging, and painful part of our daily life on earth. While eating comfortably in the life hereafter isn't on my top things I'm looking forward to, unlike: being in God's presence, worshipping Him with the saints from across the world and through history, being free of sinful impulses and temptations, seeing and interacting with my loved ones who will also be sin-free, and being free from sickness and pain, I do look forward to regaining the enjoyment of eating. And while I like to envision a huge plate of barbecue ribs, I recognize the death issue and keep in mind that the God who created mana can populate my heavenly plate with whatever He chooses and it will be a delight. Until then, He continues to supply grace for every need, and use all these earthly trials for my good. ❤
