On a correctly functioning Glock trigger, you shouldn’t be able to reach in from under the slide cover plate and push the trigger bar down. This is one of the safeties where the trigger bar cannot move down until the trigger is pulled causing the trigger bar to move aft and out of a slot in the trigger housing. The Timney trigger design is completely different however, which is why you were able to release the striker from the slide cover plate. The Timney completely lacks that safety feature. Also the striker is fully cocked whereas the Glock trigger has the striker partially cocked. I definitely see why they say not to use this trigger in carry guns. Nonetheless that’s really interesting about how the firing pin safety can fail to do its job.

Amen. Timney should definitely not be used for carry. I actually came up with a near identical design as the Timney (long before they did), but mine had a drop safety. Just sucks being disabled, as I don't have the money or ability to get patents. Was a little upset when the Timney came out, but not being able to patent the idea myself, I'm glad at-least someone came out with it. Was just really bothered when I couldn't figure out that it actually had a drop safety... and then I finally saw someone test it and proved that it didn't have one. I really wish I could find a video of someone disassembling one, so I could see exactly how it works though. (Forgive the rant. I love gun mechanics... and always appreciate when others do also.)

Always good to take the time to check your guns for safety. Very, very few people do. I wonder what people would have found if they tested their P320's for safety before they went off (without the trigger being pulled). I know most cases are either unfounded/unproven and/or proven to be the fault of the gun owner... but I think there were a couple (2, now maybe 3) that might have been the fault of the gun... and of those cases, I wonder what they would have found. There's always the possibility that they did something to the gun that caused it to be unsafe too (like improper reassembly). Forgive the rant. It's just really hard to get to the Truth with some things I guess (and every possibility should be considered to be fair in my opinion.

I appreciate your rant ! And I’m always happy to have conversations about anything and especially Guns ! But I agree with everything you said and I think we should all assume these designed safeties don’t work until we can confirm they do! That’s why I wanted to share this because we all just assume these integrated safeties are going to do their job but anything that is mechanical can fail. But thank you for watching and feel free to say whatever you want anytime! Have a great day & God Bless!

Well, it’s not stainless anymore partner, so I don’t think so my friend I am sorry. But I can explain it to you. It’s pretty simple I sandblasted it and then I sanded it by hand to get the brushed still look I wanted.

@@americantrucker9813 no problem, thanks for the reply and advice. Had been looking around for a stainless prodigy mod and you're the only person that's posted it. It looked great and sure the paint job you did was good too.

@@4chub896 well, I appreciate that my friend! And you can get a sandblaster self-contained unit at Harbor freight pretty cheap. That’s what I got but you’ll need an air compressor. And if you get all of that you might as well buy a HPV paint gun for 20 bucks while you’re there and then order any color tester bottle of cerakote (you can coat probably 14 guns with one tester bottle lol) and then you can cerakote yourself if you have an oven or toaster oven heck I use an air fryer lol to cure the cerakote and if you don’t like it, you can sandblast it and start over
