there was an article where the creators of the crown said they knew where the right place to stop would be. Plus each season goes through numerous of years. I thought it would go to her death but that would be having more seasons for william and kates wedding, them having kids, megan and harrys wedding. Megan and Harry eventully leaving royal family status. Them having kids. King charles becoming king. Queen elizabeths death. which would probally be 2 more seasons at least. and idk but they thought this would be enough since they said they didnt want to go too much into present day.

I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. It does seem that nearly all fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for the rest of their lives. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters ever dating if that ever happened.

Now I just wish we could get something like the crown for other European royal families, Sweden and the Netherlands have quite the sweet story, like queen beatrix of the Netherlands marrying a German with protests from pretty much everyone (ww2 and all), while king Carl Gustav of Sweden first meet his future wife at the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972,

Their spinoff would be boring besides the romance. What else did they have going on? The crown was interesting because QE had so much going on and a long history. The politics also made the show very interesting seeing all those different prime ministers.

William and Kate are dull. It would be better to do the Grimaldis, or some crazy aristocracy stories, or do some obscure royals.

Only if you look at the british royal family, other countries have quite sweet love stories for their royals as well, queen beatrix of the Netherlands had to face opposition for falling and later marrying Claus von amberg, a German only 20 years after ww2, while king Karl Gustav of Sweden meet his wife Silvia at the Olympic Games in Munich 1972, likely one of the few good stories from that Olympics

Kate and William do not need to snug on cameras or act like they are happy honeymooners because they been together for 21 years as school mates, friends, as boyfriend and girlfriend, as fiancée, as husband and wife and as mother and father. Their romance was from the beginning under wraps because that is how William preferred. She respected that. When she enter the royal family she didn’t do it as a camera grab like Meghan did. She did it because she actually felt in love. In their engagement interview William mention how he took baby steps with Kate because he wanted to give her a chance to adapt to what life awaits for her beside him. What it means to be his wife and future consort. Harry even gave him their mother’s ring because he thought Diana would have love Kate and he consider Kate the sister he never had. Kate has been with the royal family for 21 years. She was willing to adapt to her role as a royal consort to be with william. She is not a fame digger that it is so beautiful obvious everything she does is to have the cameras centre on her. She did not work for the people without a fame booster like Diana or Kate. Or even Camille who has so many charities helping women with vulnerabilities such as mental, sexual or emotional abuse. That are struggling with abusing relationships or are currently homeless.
