@@alexanderhamilton2219 I just don’t like the morality of his presidency overall. His foreign imperialism is one. His government overreach was unneeded, the square deal, the overtaxation. I don’t like the Brownsville affair, he sued a dude for attempting to expose a lot of shady stuff happening during the Panama Canal.
@alexanderhamilton2219
@alexanderhamilton2219 Год назад
@@stratinolampino . Yeah, the Brownsville affair was shameful. A big reason why I would have preferred Taft to Roosevelt for president in 1912 (even though Taft himself wasn’t that much better on racial issues). If you don’t mind me asking, what are your political beliefs, broadly speaking. I’m guessing that you lean generally libertarian/right-libertarian, or at least minarchist (“min” as in “minimum government”) or classical-liberal? Or perhaps paleoconservative/paleolibertarian?
@stratinolampino
@stratinolampino Год назад
@@alexanderhamilton2219 I am a libertarian of sort but I don’t know exactly what I’d fall into as I prefer any form of system that is voluntary. I sort of don’t like libertarians left or right who only call for 1 system. I’d prefer a free market but I truly just want a system that involves a voluntary course if action, that can be a communal society or a stateless metropolis. Or even a state that you can choose to be recognized by. Maybe I am a classical Liberal.

Though a good man, McKinley (I think) unnecessarily got America into the an almost-imperialist expansion, which did a lot of harm to a lot of natives (even if the goal was to help them). Nevertheless, his sticking to the anti-high-inflation Gold Standard led to an economic recovery and boom for his presidency.

Everyone whining about his expansionist/imperialistic policies can seriously shut up. The annexation of Hawaii and the defeat of the Spanish in the Spanish-American war greatly benefited the US on a global level and helped create new prosperity for the coming century. Imperialism is practiced by every country and every successful nation or empire had practiced conquest and imperialism. It’s about what you do with the power you have not how you acquire it.

yeah but his justification of the philippine american war is why i detest some of his actions the horrendous atrocities like the concentration camps and civillian killing during the philippine american war and bypassing congress during the boxer rebellion is why i would rank him as a C or D tier
@person3070
@person3070 2 года назад
say that to the Philippinos who suffered through his reign, or any other territory he acquired. Hawaii's development was greatly benefitted by US annexation, but the way we got it in the fist place is shady, and the natives of those islands resented the US. Just cause everyone else does it, doesn't mean its excusable for us to do it, especially when our country was founded on democracy at a time when there were virtually no democracies in the world

I feel like I’m gonna get a lot of hate for this but McKinley was one of the worst presidents the United States has ever had, he has went up on my list because he gained land from the two wars he had built completely on lies and unnecessary agendas. taking over the Philippines to make it just like how McKinley wanted it to be and putting concentration camps in there. We get taught about German concentration camps but never get taught about what the the U.S did in the Philippines. Remember this was right after they gained independence from Spain which McKinley also stated a war on because a malfunction in the USS maine that Spain didn’t have anything to do with. He was probably the closest president the U.S has ever had to guys like Hitler and Stalin.

I think it should be investigated if the American states past and present are legislated with the Bible written as a story. The word immunity (Latin immunitas, freedom from obligations to the state) comes from a religious revelation from the middle ages, most likely from a pope to become lawless, and which has since been rewritten into sovereign, absolute, and qualified immunity (legally, cannot be prosecuted for the criminal act) to the president, senate (origin, the Roman Empire), congress, cabinet, and Supreme Court for law decisions and actions. It should also be investigated if fallen soldiers were elected by the people or not. The political exploitation of the vital ecosystem has now led to forest death (force majeure) how will it affect people's economy, etc. The political exploitation of the vital ecosystem has led to forest death, how will that affect people's economy, etc? I also think The Democratic party can be a consciously misleading party name with all parties belonging to The Republican party, as current political democracy and socialism can only be about going more toward the middle, eg. The Democrats for law decisions and actions, even with the misleading word professional politician. Furthermore, I suggest the people should consider voting for a real democratic party with an independent state formation to investigate if the president, parties, senate (origin, the Roman Empire), congress, cabinet, and Supreme Court overall may be guilty of a violation of democratic rights with misleading elections, serious economic crimes, violation of human rights with class society for adults and children, and serious environmental crime (force majeure).
