I was stopped at the traffic light at the corner of Portugal Cove Road and Newfoundland Drive in St John's a couple of years ago and decided to switch from my I-Pod to the radio, and I was instantly transfixed by this heavenly voice singing his song "Bloom". I had to be beeped at several times to move when the light turned green. I pulled over to listen and learn who was singing. As soon as I was at a computer went to William's website and bought the album. As soon as I am finished here, I'll go and buy this one! Keep singing, William... We need you!
CBC introduced me to William Prince too. I think I was on King's Bridge Road when I heard "The Spark." Tried to memorize the lyrics so I could search for the song. That voice stops you in your tracks, I agree! Breathtaking!
I can definitely relate to being transfixed by William Prince’s incredible melodic voice. His music truly captures your imagination and it transcends you spiritually so much so that I went to iTunes and purchased several albums by him immediately. I absolutely love his music it’s cathartic and some of his songs actually brings me to tears .
Yeah, I heard "Leave it by the sea" when I was leaving the driveway and I turned around, re-parked and went into the house, checked the CBC website for WP and ordered it, and then I could do my shopping.

I only just discovered William, but mighty glad I did. Once again, Canada brings us someone special ... with his velvet voice, songs to die for, and his intuitive band, all performed with modesty and grace and humility. Maybe I just found someone to file alongside the mighty Bob Carpenter - another indigenous artist.
Will do! I've just ordered the Reliever CD. I see clear similarities between William and the late Bob Carpenter ... both indigenous artists whose spirituality is drawn from the land (and in Bob's case, the ocean).

I'd never heard of William Prince until I heard this set on the radio yesterday afternoon. I was gobsmacked. As amazing singer songwriter, beautiful voice, so soulful, I've been listening to nothing else ever since. When live shows start happening again, I sure hope he comes to Ottawa.

William …..first .. I have not cried or felt this much internal emotion for a very long time. I’m not a musician.. but I feel music in my soul …. It’s been one of the most rare loves in my life that has been my constant. The last time I recall having an emotional episode of this level was at a time where loneliness took me for a very long day drive and I purchased Jimmy Rankin’s CD and pushed it into the CD player in my jeep. Imagine driving around the Cabot Trail.. alone more that I ever expected and listening to him….That moment .. of realizing that life is so much more … gave me courage to start living again … Years later … I find myself at a crossroad “similar “ but now more frightening… as the loneliness again has trapped me in my body .. and the means of getting out is harder to grasp … but today … this day I heard your voice on the radio … it stopped my heart … I ran for my phone and hit the app that told me who you were and what you were singing … I felt “it” again … I do not know what “it “ was but I became so emotional prayed there was more! There you were .. I snuggled in bed with coffee and listened to entire album with such gratitude… I’m still smiling .. talk about music lifting your soul .. your heart .. your mind … you have taken what was left of mine and put hope in its place. You are him ..I cried because I felt joy your … words … healing …. William, I've been waiting to hear each new song since the first time you played Vancouver. l loved 'Reliever' and this new one recording sounds like it is going to be just as much of a joy. Thank you for some of the best songs I've ever heard and I've been singing, and listening for over 75 years. Hope you will make it back to Vancouver soon.

After losing my Mum suddenly last month, I have found solace in William Prince's music. It calms me and allows my thoughts to remember my Mum in her full glory, during sadness, happiness and our struggles in life. I'm so inspired.

Driving through Northern Ontario feeling sad,depressed and emotionally withdrawn, then i hear William Prince and his relaxing,melodic voice who's words i needed to hear that day . I've probably listened to "Live in Winnipeg " 4 or 5 days now and while I'm not sure of my future on this earth i know that whatever is left will be filled with Williams incredibly soothing voice.

I was on youtube listening to Serena Ryder when this popped up to listen too. What an amazing, talented man. His voice is soothing and his lyrics resonate so deeply. I have played this so many times. Sometimes the blessing hit when you least expect it.🙏💕
