@@justindrugan5309 I guess that he does have some degree of that erratic movement, I'm not sure, I haven't often watched his real action stuff. But cartoons usually take character aspects of a celebrity that are true and just exaggerate them comically, rather than invent or make any up.
No, he didn't act like that on the show. Or in the movies, for that matter. Nor did he ever really speak like that. I don't know where everybody gets the idea that he did, unless it's from some of the music performances he's done.
too bad he is not actually voiced by william shatner but seth mcfathine does his voice and there is also an episode where he voices jackie chan for 30 seconds.
True but marriage changes a man gradually. Plus Stewie's urge to kill Lois went away. Characters are worked out in early seasons. They are works in progress
This is genuinely one of the funniest episodes, I also loved the episode when Peter and Clinton hung out too. Old Family Guy had a unique type of humor compared to today's Family Guy.
I swear all the animated shows were better before they went to the more sterile computer animated art style. Family guy, SpongeBob, simpsons, etc something about the old art style is just better
“Barefoot you say?” “Peter, you were right, I have never felt so alive!” And the way William Shatner was laughing and skipping in the rain with peter right before he gets hit by Meg makes me laugh so hard
It’s crazy to believe that Shatner in here was voiced by Seth Macfarlane. He voices so many freaking characters in this show. I can never tell who he does and doesn’t voice. He’s super talented.
I know right? I just watched it a couple hours ago and it was pretty funny, I actually showed it to my dad because that was pretty interesting, I thought it was a error mistake but dad said they do it on purpose, I’m not sure what purpose but I have to admit it’s pretty funny
Death, destruction, disease, horror. That’s what war is all about, Anan. That’s what makes it a thing to be avoided. You’ve made it NEAT and PAINLESS. Soooo NEAT and PAINless you’ve had no reason to STOP IT. And you’ve had it for five hundred years.
"the only thing that would make this better is if my family was here" This line makes me a little sad when you think about how modern Family Guy has had multiple episodes now dedicated to how much Peter can't stand being around his family :/
0:17 always loved how smoothly he slides into the background, makes it look as if Shatner's performance was recorded in front of a bluescreen and he was added in post
Funny thing about William Shatner is he dies in this episode but there's an episode in season 2 where Lois makes a play and he's in the background sitting watching the play when Peter performs.
" OH CRAP ! " @0:22 - with that look on his face, well done animators, well done. (Explained for those new: in Star Trek, whoever is wearing the red shirt of a landing party, usually rank of Ensign, will die a tragic death while the rest live.)
You got to say: when it was all by hand, the animations were great. people moves even when they are not the one talking. A lot of things happen on the screen and they have a lot of expressions.
Earlier seasons are much better. I bought all of them on RU-vid. I also bought a few seasons between 10 and 19, but only because I'd never seen them before and wanted to see what they're like. Most of those episodes, I am not interested in seeing a second time, they're awful
