Alex's debuff brings benefit to all other marches hitting that target unlike a boost to one's self. Alex is also immune to all damage reduction debuff (ZL's active). If people bench alex, honestly, that's good for me as a cav main haha and probably be helping archers too.
William's active skill if someone is attacking you is 2400+300=2700 smite. Because this is smite, it is more powerful than skill; less smite damage reductions than skill damage reductions out there. William does not need to be surrounded for the 300 to activate. This was shown in Omniarch's clip of william's skill animation.
Yup, triggers on anyone who’s attacking you back, so apologies if I said “surrounded” as that verbiage isn’t entirely correct. Good for duels, less relevant for field
this is a must have, the aoe shield for allies will be huge impact, one people one wallace , can mitigate a lot damage, thus reduce wounded and stand longer in field battle, it is very significant, imagine all people 100+ people using it, if one shield hit can mitigate 1k damage, 100 people using at the same time can mitigate 100k damage at one time, and maybe wallace can active say 10 times shield before he is routed back to city, its so much impact on the field battle
Literally what i was thinking, as a guy who uses 2 inf and the strongest cav and archer march I'm not that excited about WW. He just doesn't bring much difference to my murderball. He does more dmg than Alex but that 30% dmg taken debuff from alex expertise is just so strong while ww doesn't bring any debuffs. And he has no aoe. I'm more inclined to get Huo and pair him with YSG or Mehmed which will benefit more bc my hermann P poison. I'll say this, ww talent tree is the strongest if I dare say so myself but that's about it😂
100% right. The best thing about ww are the talents and bcs they will boost liu dmg. Just invested in gorgo, so if he doesnt do that much better, wont replace her
I am passing on Wallace. Single target commanders are not that great. Every infantry commander can pair with Lui Che except Guan. Wallace is like Huo in that Nevsky is already owned making Huo useless. Lui Che and double relic Alex is just so good. Skippy needs a second commander I use Mehmed or Caesar as a second both double relic

Guan if you can get the relic. But I would wait for testing and field results to arrive first. I wouldn’t recommend putting heads into Guan at this point. We’ll see the new rally commander soon too!
The only thing I think might make him stronger is that 40% boost on LC skill, but still we gotta wait for test. If he is skippable, good for me gonna hoard more GH
I actually am much more in agreement with you than I have been with most, but I’m curious your thoughts on this. I could see two best marches being LC and Alex or the new rally com, and Scipio with WW. Before LC people were running scipio/tariq, and I feel like WW is just a better Tariq behind Scipio. There is a lot of benefit to Scipio being primary and firing off the health debuff earlier.
Don’t think you bench Guan in the Guan/Scip combo for WW. At least not with the relic releasing. Scip/Tariq was always suboptimal compared to Guan/Scip. We’ll see what the new rally commander holds!
I disagree with you, but I liked how you broke down each skill in comparison to Beli P to back up your take. I believe that WW with LC or even Gorgo has strong potential precisely because of the boost from the Smite tree. If LC and Gorgo didn’t exist, I would agree with you, but both commanders are already strong, especially LC. Now, adding the damage amplification from WW along with the Smite tree makes it easy to see why infantry players are excited.
We’re all allowed to have our opinions. I think your hypothetical scenario is very valid and has potential! Thanks for your respectful comment ❤ My argument was more so that this commander isn’t strong because of his kit. But strong because of the smite tree and other existing commanders (Liu). Thus making him a suboptimal investment if you already have Gorgo or Alex. I still think he’s top 4!
Hola Kane, i'm new here and i just subscribed you. I need your opinion here, i have been hoarding sculptures for LC long before WW came out. But now with the relase of WW, i'm confuse which one should i chose. I have Guan/ Scipio which is my current single march, then i have Alex and YSG expertised and being on the bench for long time. Before WW came out, i planned to get LC, pair him with Alex and run 2 infa marches, then i would continue infesting on ZL to be paired with YSG. Please give me your opinion on the situation that i have here.
WW fits intobthe current meta much better. Most people run rwo cav marches and thet are cracked already. Hard to justify brwaking that up unless its for a compete monster.
I am for sure gonna go for WW and Guan is gonna hit that bench. Idc if i need to use Scip/Alex. I aint playing that trash can anymore. Only way i dont go for WW is if mge commander is good Guan replacement. We can only pray

If WW is way way better than Alex fine but if not it’s hard to justify benching an easily and often expertised commander for a brand new one. I’d rather build my other marches up

Just a realist. If you’re taking skill damage already and not running you won’t trade positive either way. People don’t add Tariq’s 900 extra damage factor as a big “+” even though his skill damage on the active is the exact same. A small boost at most
